About AILET 2017:

AILET 2017 (all India law entrance test) is a national level entrance exam conducted once in a year in the month of May by the National Law University, Delhi. The AILET exam is organized for students seeking admission in various undergraduate and postgraduate courses (B.A.LL.B. (Hons.), LL.M, Ph.D. Programs, PG Diploma) offered by the Delhi University and its affiliated institutions.

The aspirants who wish to appear for AILET 2017 can check the availability of AILET application forms from the first week of January 2017 on the official AILET website of the National Law University, Delhi.

AILET 2017 Important Dates

  • Application Process: AILET Exam application form submission starts from #application_from_date. The last date for submission will be the #application_to_date.
  • AILET Admit Card Availability: Admit Card for AILET will be available by #admit_card_date.
  • AILET Examination Date: AILET exam will he held on #from_date.
  • AILET Results Date: Ailet Exam results will be released in #result_date.

AILET 2017 Eligibility

Age Limit for AILET 2017 Exam: Candidates must not exceed 21 years on or after 1st of July 2017 (23 years in the case of SC/ST category) for B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) program.

Education Qualification: Candidatesappearing for B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) course, must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum 50% aggregate to satisfy AILET eligibility. The candidates willing to enroll for LL.M. (One year) program & PG Diploma program, must have completed LL.B. or an Equivalent Law Degree securing a minimum 55% marks (for general candidates) and 50% marks (for SC, ST or PwD candidates) for eligibility. 

If the candidate does not fulfill the eligibility criteria, he/she will not be eligible to write the AILET exam. The candidate has to satisfy All the AILET Eligibility Criteria, not one.

AILET 2017 Application Process

  • Official website for AILET examination: The Applicants have to visit the Official Website of the AILET 2017 Exam examination (http://nludelhi.ac.in/ailet2016.aspx) and register to start their application process.
  • Applicants can now fill the AILET application form by just clicking on AILET 2017 and giving basic details. 
  • Next, Applicants must fill their personal,  qualification and other details as mentioned in the AILET application form.
  • To complete the procedure, applicants need to pay their application fees through DD in favour of Registrar, National Law University, Delhi payable at Delhi.

AILET 2017 Application Form Details

Application Form for AILET is available from the #application_from_date. The will be available until the #application_to_date.

AILET Application fees:

  • The AILET fee can be paid by using the online or offline method.
  • Students who want to pat offline can use cash deposit at post office method. 
  • Students can also pay using Credit/Debit Card/Net Banking as well.
  • The application fee for General/OCB - Rs.3000/-.
  • The application fee for SC/ST students - Rs.1000/-.

AILET 2017 Admit Card

The Admit Card for AILET Exam will be available by last week of April. The admit card is mandatory for all the students appearing for AILET Exam 2017. If any candidate fails to carry the valid card issued by the authority, he/she will be restricted from appearing in the exam. So, the students are advised to download the admit card prior to the examination day. Ensure that the photograph of the candidate on the AILET Admit Card is clear.

Steps to Download AILET Admit Card:

  • Go to the official AILET website to get the AILET Admit Card.
  • Click on the “Existing User” tab.
  • Enter your AILET login id and password.
  • Click on Login.
  • You will be redirected to your AILET candidate profile.
  • Click on the “Download AILET Admit Card” button.
  • Save your AILET admit card on your system and take a print out.

The AILET admit card has the following details on it:

  • Name of the holder
  • Address of holder
  • Category
  • The state of residence
  • Photo and signature of holder
  • AILET Roll number of exams
  • Date, time, venue and other instructions of the AILET exam will also be mentioned on the admit card.

AILET 2017 Exam Pattern

AILET 2017 Exam Paper is an Objective type exam which has four sections totaling to 150 questions. Time duration is complete the AILET Exam is 1hr 20min. One mark is allotted for each correct answer and there is no negative marking.

The following are the sections of AILET 2017 exam paper:

  • English - 35 Marks
  • General Knowledge (Current Affairs, General Science, History, Geography, Economics, Civics) - 35 Marks
  • Reasoning - 35 Marks
  • Elementary Mathematics - 10 Marks

AILET 2017 Results

The Results for AILET will be out by #result_date on the official site of AILET. AILET also will upload question booklet and answer keys on the website along with results.

Steps to view AILET Results:

  • Go to the official AILET Website.
  • Candidates need to fill up all the information like AILET Roll Number, Name.
  • Click on the “Submit” button to view the AILET Result.

AILET 2017 Counselling

The Counselling Session is only for the qualifiers of AILET Exam and the seats will be allotted according to the rank secured in AILET Entrance Examination 2017.

Qualified candidates will be called for counselling by the National Law University, Delhi, officially and they should wait for the admission letter after the declaration of the shortlisted candidates.

Document verification process will be run by the authorities before the counselling session. If the candidates fail to produce valid documents in the verification process, they will be disqualified by the AILET Authority.

What will be the scheme followed under the Legal Aptitude section for AILET?

There will be a total of 35 questions from this section for AILET.

All questions will be based on Legal Propositions. The propositions may not be true in a real sense and you will have to assume the true proposition based on the set of facts and answer the question accordingly.

What is the difference between AILET and CLAT?

There are very few differences between AILET and CLAT exams.                                                                                                                       The main difference between the both is the format of the exams.
