AP LAWCET is an entrance exam for admission in Law course. Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education conducts the AP LAWCET. It is a UG exam conducted for students to take admission in law courses in various colleges in Andhra Pradesh. AP LAWCET 2018 Important Dates

  • Availability of Application for AP LAWCET 2018: The application form for AP LAWCET 2018 will be available on the website from the 29th of February 2018.
  • Last Date to Submit: The last date to submit the application form for AP LAWCET 2018 without a late fee is before the 30th of April 2018.
  • Examination Date for AP LAWCET 2018: The examination will be held on the 28th of May 2018.

AP LAWCET 2018 Eligibility

  • Age Limit: Candidates applying must be a minimum of 18 years of age and meet the required Education Qualifications to stand eligible for the AP LAWCET 2018 examination.
  • Education Qualification: 
    • 3-year L.L.B: 
      1. Applicants should be passed in their Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent degree from a recognised university to be eligible for the AP LAWCET examination.
      2. Applicants must score a minimum of 45% of aggregate marks in their Higher Secondary Examination to be eligible for the AP LAWCET entrance exam.
      3. The maximum age limit for a candidate seeking admission into the 3-year LL.B Course shall be Thirty Years (relaxable by five years in the case of SCs/STs) as on 31st December of the year of seeking admission, to be eligible for the AP LAWCET examination.
    • 5-year L.L.B: 
      1. Applicants passed in Higher Secondary or its equivalent exam is eligible for the AP LAWCET examination only if they have passed from a recognised University.
      2. Applicants must have scored aggregate of 45% marks in their Higher Secondary Exams to be eligible for the AP LAWCET examination (40% in case of SC/ ST applicants)
      3. The maximum age limit for a candidate seeking admission into the 5-year LL.B Course shall be twenty years (relaxable by two years in the case of SCs/STs) respectively as on 31st December of the year of seeking admission, to be eligible for the AP LAWCET 2018 examination.

AP LAWCET 2018 Application Process

  • Availability of the AP LAWCET 2018 application: Candidates can visit the official page of the AP LAWCET 2018 examination to apply online.
  • Obtaining the AP LAWCET 2018 application: Candidates will have to provide all details such as Name, Address, Category, Qualification and other information as required in the application form. Candidates should also upload a recent passport size photograph as mentioned in the form and proceed to make the payment.
  • Payment Mode: Candidates applying can pay the application fee online using a Credit/Debit Card and save the transaction ID.

AP LAWCET 2018 Application Form Details

The cost of registration for the AP LAWCET examination is INR 450/-. However, with a delay in applying for the AP LAWCET examination, the following late fee is applicable while filling the application form, based on the dates.

  • Application Form Fee: INR 450.
  • Application Form Fee inclusive of Penalty: 
    • From 01st until 07th of May 2018- INR 500/-
    • From the 08th until 15th of May 2018- INR 1000/-
    • From the 16th to 21st of May- INR 1500/-
    • From the 22nd until 27th of May- INR 5000/-

AP LAWCET 2018 Admit Card

  • Availability of Admit Card: The Admit Card will be available on the official website of the AP LAWCET 2018 examination, Candidates will have to stay updated to avail their Admit Card.
  • Obtaining the AP LAWCET Admit Card: The Admit Card for AP LAWCET 2018 will be in a PDF file format. Candidates will have to take a printout of the same.
  • Admit Card to AP LAWCET 2018: Candidates are advised to carry the Admit Card as well as a valid photo ID on the day of the AP LAWCET 2018 examination, for verification purposes.

AP LAWCET 2018 Exam Pattern

  • Mode of AP LAWCET Exam: The AP LAWCET is set in Hindi and Telugu languages only, it is a paper-pen based examination consisting of 3 parts, Part A, Part B and Part C carrying 120 questions for a total of 120 Marks.
  • Duration of Exam: 01 hour and 30 minutes allotted.
  • Marking Scheme for AP LAWCET Exam: Every right answer gets the number of marks mentioned and there are no negative markings for the AP LAWCET 2018 examination.
  • Sections in AP LAWCET Exam Paper:
    • Section-A:
      1. General Knowledge consisting of 30 Questions for 30 marks.
      2. Mental Ability consisting of 30 Questions for 30 marks.
    • Section-B:
      1. Current Affairs consisting of 30 Questions for 30 Marks.
    • Section-C:
      1. Aptitude for the Study of Law consisting of 60 Questions for 60 Marks

AP LAWCET 2018 Results

  • Availability of Results: The Results will be available on the official website of AP LAWCET as soon as the exams are over. Candidates will have to stay updated on the website for notifications and updates on the AP LAWCET 2018 examination Results.
  • Obtaining Results:  Candidates will have to visit the official website of AP LAWCET. The Scorecard page will be displayed, enter the required details such as Hall Ticket Number and submit. The AP LAWCET 2018 Result will appear on your computer screen. Download it or take print out of it for future reference.

AP LAWCET 2018 Counselling

  • Counselling Date: After the results are announced, the candidates who have cleared the AP LAWCET exam are required to appear for the counselling round. The AP LAWCET Counselling is followed by the rounds of seat allotment. The Counselling is done on merit basis.
