AIMS Test for Management Admissions (ATMA) is a national level entrance test organised by the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) for admissions to postgraduate management programs. The exam is conducted four times in a year and acts as a gateway for aspiring students to take admission in management courses including MBA, PGDM, PGDBA, MCM, etc.

The main objective of conducting ATMA is to assess and test the candidate’s skills in subjects like comprehension skills, verbal reasoning capabilities, and numerical reasoning capabilities. On the basis of the test results and rank scored, the deserving students are shortlisted for admission in various management courses in the top management colleges across India.

Every year, ATMA conduct the examination four times in the months of February, May, July and December successfully and a huge number of applicants get enrolled in the examination.

ATMA 2017 Important Dates

  • ATMA online registration: The ATMA online registration will commence on 26th June 2017 
  • ATMA Bulletins: The ATMA Bulletins will be distributed on June 26th, 2017 
  • ATMA close of bulletins and payment: The ATMA Bulletins and payment (through a gateway) will close on July 15th, 2017.
  • ATMA closure of registration: The ATMA registration be closed on July 17th, 2017 
  • ATMA Reprint of filled-in-Application form: The last date for Reprint of filled-in Application form is July 20th, 2017 
  • ATMA Admit card: The ATMA Admit card can be downloaded on 20th July 2017 
  • ATMA offline test date: The ATMA offline test will be held on 23rd July 2017 
  • ATMA result: The ATMA result will be announced on 28th July 2017 

ATMA 2017 Eligibility

Summary of Eligibility Criteria for ATMA:

  • Eligibility criteria regarding age limit: The candidate should have completed 21 years of age as on the date of admission.
  • Eligibility criteria regarding education: The candidate should have a bachelor's degree from any recognised university in any stream. Candidates currently in their final year of graduation are also eligible.
  • Eligibility criteria regarding qualifying marks: The candidate should have scored minimum 50% marks in his/her graduation.
  • The candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • Work Experience is NOT mandatory.

ATMA 2017 Application Process

  • Mode: The applicants can apply either through online or offline mode.
  • Procedure to apply via Online mode: The candidates have to visit the official website and download the ATMA application form. The candidate has to fill up the required sections and upload a passport size photograph and valid signature. Finally, the candidates should upload the filled ATMA form.
  • Payment through online mode: The ATMA application fees is Rs. 1100. The candidates can pay the fees via debit/credit card or internet banking.
  • Procedure to apply via Offline mode: The candidates have to visit the official website and download the application form. They can also purchase the application from selected ATMA centres. The candidate has to fill up the required information. The candidate should send the filled ATMA application form along with a demand draft to the address of the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS).

ATMA 2017 Application Form Details

  • Online mode: Candidates are required to get themselves registered and acquire PID and password and then fill in the application form. The candidates who apply through online mode have to make the payment through online mode only.
  • Offline mode: The candidates who apply through offline mode can purchase the ATMA Bulletins from the Admission center on paying the fee either in cash or DD. These candidates have to fill in the form and submit the form at the ATMA office.

ATMA 2017 Admit Card

  • Date: The ATMA Admit card will be available from 20th July 2017 
  • Identity proof: The candidate should carry an identity proof along with the admit card.
  • Procedure: The candidates have to visit the official ATMA website and click on the ATMA Admit card portal. The candidate has to enter the required details and click on submit. The ATMA Admit card will be displayed on the screen. The candidates have to download the admit card and print it.
  • Mandatory document: The ATMA Admit card is a mandatory document. If the candidate does not carry the admit card then he/she will not be allowed to attend the exam.
  • Details: The ATMA admit card will contain details about the name of the candidate, exam date, etc.
  • The candidate should read and verify if all the details are correct. In the case of any discrepancies, the candidate must notify the concerned authority.
  • Tampering and plagiarising the admit card in any way will be dealt with seriously.

ATMA 2017 Exam Pattern

  • Exam mode: The ATMA exam will be conducted in offline mode or online mode.
  • Number of questions: There will be 180 questions.
  • Duration: The ATMA exam will be for a duration of 3 hours.
  • Type of questions: The ATMA exam will consist of objective type questions.
  • Exam medium: The ATMA exam will be in English.
  • Sections: The ATMA exam will be divided into six sections. Each section will have 30 questions and the time allotted is 30 minutes for each section. 

ATMA 2017 Syllabus

  • The main topics for the exam are as follows:
  • Quantitative Skills: The topics are Number System, Average, Allegation, Percentages, etc.
  • Verbal Skills: This section will consist of multiple type questions. The topics are Reading comprehension, Sentence correction, etc.
  • Analytical Reasoning Skills: The questions will test the logical thinking abilities of the candidates. The questions will be in the form of a passage or set of conditions.

ATMA 2017 Results

  • Result Date: The ATMA results will be declared on 28th July 2017 
  • Procedure: The candidates have to visit the official website and log in to their account. The candidate has to enter his/her roll number and click on the "Submit" button. The ATMA results will be displayed. The candidate should download and print the ATMA result for future reference.
  • The results will be declared online only.The results will not be sent to the candidates via post or email.

ATMA 2017 Counselling

  • Details: The candidates will be allotted seats in five different colleges. The seats will be allotted on the basis of the ranks secured and the college cut-offs.
  • Documents: The candidate should carry the Original mark sheets and photocopies, Age proof, Domicile( Himachal Pradesh Candidates) and Aadhar Card or any other identity proof for the counselling process.

  • In the Dayananda Sagar Business School I had taken ATMA,KMAT and PG CET.I got good scoring in aLl three exams.wherein I got 1004 ranking in PGCET which got me seat in DSU..even my KMAT and ATMA scores were eligible has the cut off was 80 n for PGCET it was 5000.the admission process was very simple we had to fill the application form which costed 1000 and 1.5lakhs to paid in DD..which included 30k of PGCET fees.
