Eligibility Criteria for BVP CET 2018:

The eligibility criteria for some of the courses are as given below.

Eligibility criteria for Engineering:

  • The candidate should have passed class 10th and 12th from any recognised university to be eligible for BVP CET 2018.
  • The candidate should have qualified class 12th with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any of the one Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology as an optional subject to be eligible.
  • The candidate should have secured an aggregate of 45% in the above subjects; for reserved category, it should be minimum 40%.
  • Those candidates appearing for class 12th final exams are also eligible.

Eligibility criteria for medical:

  • The candidate should be minimum 17 years on or before 31st December 2018 to be eligible for BVP CET.
  • Candidate should have passed class 10th and 12th or any other equivalent examination from any recognised university to be eligible.
  • Candidates applying for MBBS/BDS have to pass class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually to be eligible.
  • An aggregate of 50% in PCB or Biotechnology is required in class 12th (for reserved category, it is 40%)
  • For BAMS, an aggregate of 50% (40% SC/ST) in PCB in 10+2 is required for the candidate to be eligible.
  • For BHMS, the candidate should qualify 12th with PCB and English individually with an aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology.
  • Those candidates appearing for class 12th final exams are also eligible to apply for BVP CET.

Eligibility criteria for MCA:

  • For a full-time MCA program, the candidate has to pass minimum 3 year Bachelor Degree with mathematics or he is not eligible for BVP CET.
  • For MCA lateral entry, the candidate has to hold a minimum 3 year Bachelor Degree in BCA, BCS, B. Sc (IT/Computer Science) with Mathematics to be eligible for BVP CET.
  • Candidates have to secure at least 50% (40% in case of reserved category) marks in the qualifying examination for the candidate to be eligible.

Please Note: There is no age limit specified for the candidate to be eligible for BVP CET.


Eligibility criteria for MBA:

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India to be eligible.
  • No specific age limit is required for candidates to be eligible to appear for this exam.
  • Candidates with Bachelor or Master Degree in any discipline are eligible to apply for BVP CET.
  • An aggregate of minimum 50% (40% in case of SC/ST category) is required for candidates to satisfy the eligibility criteria for the BVP CET.
