CG PET 2018 Important Dates

Important Dates for CGPET 2018 Exam:

  • The online registration for CG PET 2018 starts from the third week of march 2018.
  • The online registration for CG PET 2018 closes in the first week of April 2018.
  • The last date to pay the Application fee through the SBI challan for CG PET 2018 is in the First week of April 2018.
  • The Admit card for CG PET 2018 will be issued from the second week of April 2018.
  • The CG PET examination is scheduled to be from the third week of April 2018.
  • The CG PET results will be announced in the second week of June 2018.

CG PET 2018 Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria for CG PET 2018 Exam:

To appear for the examination of CG PET an individual is required to meet various requirements.

 Some of them have been explained below:

  • It is important for a CG PET aspirant to successfully complete 10+2 or equivalent from a reputed and accredited board or university. Candidates appearing for the 10+2 board examination are also eligible to appear for the examination of CG PET 2018.
  • A CG PET aspirant is required to have only Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry or Biology subjects in his or her 10+2 level.
  • Those who want to appear for the CG PET examination must be from Chattisgarh or have at least completed their 10th and 12th level from schools in Chhattisgarh.
  • CG PET aspirants must have completed their 10+2 with at least 45% marks in case of general category students.
  • CG PET aspirants from reserved category must complete their 10+2 with at least 40% marks.
  • The minimum age of a candidate to appear for the CG PET 2018 examination is 17 years as on December 31st of the year of admission.
  • The maximum age of a candidate to appear for the CG PET 2018 examination is 30 years as on July 1st, 2018.
  • If candidates are applying for a Chhattisgarh Quota seat for the CG PET 2018 examination then they are required to produce domicile certificate.  

CG PET 2018 Application Process

Application Process for CG PET 2018 Exam:

  • The applicants are required to visit the official website of the examining authority for CG PET 2018 Application form.
  • The candidates should search for the link “CG PET-2018” for online registration.
  • The applicants must define the course that he is willing to apply for.
  • Next, Click on “Apply Online”.
  • Fill up all the details mandatory in the Application form of CG PET 2018 Exam.
  • Upload the Passport size photo and valid signature.
  • Further, pay the Application fee and fill the application fee detail on the online Application form.
  • After filling the form completely, click on “Submit”.
  • Save the CG PET 2018 application after filling and take a printout of the duly filled Application form of CG PET 2018 Exam.

CG PET 2018 Application Form Details

Application Form Details for  CG PET 2018 Exam:

  • The Application form of the CG PET 2018 examination must be filled up online on the official website of CG PET 2018 Exam.  The aspirants can register themselves once the CG PET 2018 application forms are released by the authority in the third week of March 2018. The online application form of the CG PET 2018 examination is available throughout in the first week of April 2018.
  • Individuals can pay the CG PET 2018 examination fee through debit/credit or net banking. SBI Challans is an ideal way to pay the fee for the CG PET 2018 examination. Candidates are advised to keep a copy of printout and the Admit card for future reference.

CG PET 2018 Application Fee:

There will be 3 categories with a different Application fee.

  • The first category is the Unreserved category with an Application fee of Rs 200/-
  • The second category is the OBC with an Application fee of Rs 150/-
  • The third category is the SC/ST/PWD with an Application fee of Rs 100/-

CG PET 2018 Admit Card

Admit Card for CG PET 2018 Exam:

  • The candidate can receive the admit card for CG PET 2018 from the University’s official website of CG Vyapam.
  • After filling up the form, the CG PET 2018 admit card will be generated online. 
  • The CG PET 2018 admit card can be downloaded by the applicants from the second week of April 2018 (refer to ‘important dates’ table above).
  • The students can then download the CG PET 2018 admit card and generate a print of the admit card.
  • The admit card must be preserved carefully and must be presented at the time of the CG PET 2018 exam and later at the time of entry to the course.
  • The CG PET 2018 exam date for downloading the admit card will be declared soon.
  • The students should note that the CG PET 2018 admit card will not be sent through post or courier.
  • The candidates should preserve the CG PET 2018 admit card for the further process.
  • The admit card if tampered will not be a valid CG PET 2018 admit card.
  • The CG PET 2018 admit card contains all the information about the candidate, examination, test centres, etc.
  • No duplicate copy of the CG PET 2018 Admit card will be issued to the candidates if the original admit card has been misplaced.

CG PET 2018 Exam Pattern

Exam Pattern for CG PET 2018 Exam:

To prepare well for the CG PET examination and score good marks, a CG PET aspirant must understand the pattern of the examination. We have discussed the pattern of the CG PET 2018 examination in detail below.

  • Type of Paper: Objective.
  • No. of Questions: 150.
  • The time duration of CG PET test: 3 hours.
  • Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • One mark for each correct answer.
  • 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

 Exam pattern of CG PET 2018 has been given below:

  • Physics will have 50 no. of questions and each carries 1 mark and a total of 50 marks.
  • Chemistry will have 50 no. of questions and each carries 1 mark and a total of 50 marks.
  • Mathematics will have 50 no. of questions and each carries 1 mark and a total of 50 marks.
  • A total of 150 questions and a total of 150 marks.

 Note: The CG PET 2018 exam pattern discussed above is based on examination patterns of previous years. Hence, these patterns may change as per guidelines issued by DTE, Chhattisgarh. We will update any change in the CG PET 2018 examination pattern.

CG PET 2018 Results

Results for CG PET 2018 Exam: 

  • The CG PET 2018 results will be announced in the second week of May 2018 (refer to the ‘Importants dates’ table above). Once the results have been released by the exam authorities, the CG PET 2018 results will be announced on the official website of the University. The students can check their CG PET 2018 results online on the website after their entering roll number. The results declared will be on the basis of the cut-off list.
  • The results of CGPET 2018 will reveal whether the student has got admissions to the University or not. If the student does not meet the cutoff list declaration, the student will not be eligible for future CG PET admission process.
  • Candidates are advised to keep a copy of the printout of the CG PET 2018 result till the counselling and other admission procedures are done.

CG PET 2018 Counselling

Counselling for CG PET 2018 Exam:

  • The counselling for CG PET 2018 will commence from the first week of June 2018. To enrol into the online counselling process, candidates will be required to first register online as soon as the results are out. Once they are done with this, candidates will then be required to fill in their choices of different colleges as per their college preferences in mind. This process is then followed by the verification process.
  • The seats are given to the candidates according to the marks and availability of seats.

  • Freedom fighter certificate (If required)
  • PH certificate (If required).

 Reservation of Seats for CG PET 2018 Exam:

There are several categories for the Reservation of seats.

  • General category will have a reservation of 42% of seats.
  • Schedule Caste will have a reservation of 12% of seats.
  • Schedule Tribes will have a reservation of 32% of seats.
  • The OBC candidates will have a reservation of 14% of seats.

Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process:
  • The eligibility criteria for the outside state students was through AIEEE entrance exam. According to their ranks, the colleges were allotted.
  • This is the 2nd ranked college in CSVTU university. So cutoff was high. For state students who have domicile, they have to give CG PET entrance exam to qualify.
  • The cutoff for this college was upto 3000 AIEEE rank.

I advise you to re-register for CG PET.

There can be multiple reasons to why your application form was rejected.

The CG PET Board (DTE) holds full authority to reject any candidates application without any prior notification.
