About COMEDK UGET 2018:

COMEDK (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental, Karnataka) is an entrance examination for around 20 thousand seats of medical, engineering and dental programmes offered by more than 14 medical colleges, 25 dental colleges and 150 engineering colleges of Karnataka under the umbrella of Association of Medical, Dental and Engineering Colleges (AMDEC) run by the Karnataka Professional Colleges Foundation (KPCF) Trust.

The Association conducts two COMEDK examinations round the year, in which one is UGET (Under Graduate Entrance test) and other is PGET (Post Graduate Entrance Test). The COMEDK UGET 2016 will be the gateway to MBBS, BDS, B.Tech and B.Arch Courses. The COMEDK UGET results are followed by the counselling session.

We can get into the college by CET or COMEDK UGET. They usually expect at least 60% in 12th for management seats, Ranks to get into TCE in CET is usually around 3k to 4k & COMEDK UGET up to 10k but it varies.

The admission is based on CET, COMEDK UGET entrance exams, management admissions are also available. Cut off for this vary every year. Highest cut off is for CSE.

Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process:

Eligibility is a JUST  12th-grade  pass. I had gotten in through the management quota by paying the admission fee. I highly recommend taking the CET or at least COMEDK UGET because these exams are easy and can save you a lot of money.(CET saves you a lot more) There are no specific cutoffs in this college.

PESIT Bangalore South Campus (PESIT-BSC) admits students for the B.E course through two entrance examinations- CET and COMEDK UGET. I joined PESIT through the COMEDK UGET examination. The admission is purely based on merit. However, there is a percentage of seats reserved for the management category. PESIT-BSC offers the engineering course in four disciplines- Computer Science and Engineering, Information Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process:

 MSRIT IS AN AUTONOMOUS COLLEGE under the VTU ,they have there own curriculum ,exam but the degree is awarded by VTU.More  formal information like its ranking and all will be available in any website.

                      Entrance exam one should write in order to get into MSRIT are CET and COMEDK UGET for engineering courses.NATA for architecture courses .The eligibility criteria are

  • 85% and above percentage secured during their 12 th broad.
  • must write CET or COMEDK UGET exam.

Once your CET or COMEDK UGET results are out one should go to the admission office with the following documents 12th marks card , 10th marks card, Addhar card ,CET or COMEDK UGET ranking and if you belong SC/ST the do take that proof as well.The cutoff ranking for various courses varies yearly.For further information you can contact-080 23607902.

  • To get admission in RNSIT if you are not from Karnataka then you need to give COMEDK UGET.
  • COMEDK UGET conducts an all India test for admission in Engineering and Medical colleges in Karnataka.
  • Based on your rank you will get into RNSIT.
  • But if you are a resident of Karnataka then you can opt between KCET or COMEDK UGET.
  • There is one more way of getting admission which is the management quota.

What is the seat surrender procedure?

  • First, the candidate has to login and then click on the seat surrender tab followed by clicking on the + sign. After clicking on the + sign the candidate’s seat selection will be shown. He has to click on the yes option to surrender it. This is for the first round of counseling. The candidates who opt for the second round of counseling have to select the yes option and produce a DD of Rs. 5000 along with the original documents. The candidates who do not want to attend the second round of counseling must select the NO option and enter the details asked. After viewing the information the candidate must click on the submit button and take a printout of the surrender form.

What is the difference between COMEDK and KCET?Can the students from other states write the exam?

  • Non-Karnataka students are eligible to write COMEDK but not KCET. KCET charges a lesser fee while COMEDK charges a higher fee. COMEDK is a better one in terms of ease of getting admitted. However, the difficulty level remains the same.

What are the demand drafts that are acceptable towards the application fees?

  • Demand drafts from any listed nationalised banks in Annexure-I of the brochure is acceptable. Demand draft has to be drawn from a nationalised bank in favor of “COMEDK”, payable at Bangalore only for the amount mentioned. The application number and applicant’s name is to be written behind the DD. Check for the banker’s seal and signature on the DD. Demand Draft from any bank other than the Banks listed in the Annexure–I will not be accepted.

  • The engineering course exam includes physics, chemistry, and mathematics which is for a total of 3 hours. However, the medical and dental course exam is divided into a duration of 2 hours each. Physics and chemistry is for 2 hours and biology and English is for 2 hours.
