Common Proficiency Test [CPT] Overview:

The Common Proficiency Test is the entry level examination for Chartered Accountancy Certification in India. The CPT is a challenging examination for which thousands of students appear annually. The pass percentage for CPT is very small (39%), making it very difficult and a matter of prestige for those who successfully clear CPT. The Common Proficiency Test is conducted twice annually, usually in the months of June and December. The results for CPT are published within one month from the date of the CPT examination. Candidates can apply for CPT after clearing the tenth-grade examination and write the CPT examination after completing the 10+2 level. The results for CPT will tentatively be published within 3-4 weeks after the exam.
