The DU JAT is conducted by University of Delhi for admissions to 6 colleges which offer Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) Course and 8 colleges offering B.A (Hons) Business Economics and BBA (FIA) programs.

DU JAT 2018 Important Dates

  • DU JAT Application form will be available by 13th of May. Candidates should remember to apply for DU JAT before 31st of May.
  • DU JAT Admit Card will be available to download from the first week of June.
  • DU JAT Exam will be held on 20th of June.
  • Results for DU JAT Exam will be out on 2nd of July.
  • Counselling for DU JAT will start from 5th of July and will end by 10th of July.
  • Final DU JAT results will be announced on 12th of July.

DU JAT 2018 Eligibility

  • Education Qualification: Candidates appearing for DU JAT must have passed in Senior Secondary School Examination of CBSE or any other examination considered equivalent by the University of Delhi.
  • Final year students awaiting results are eligible to apply for the DU JAT exam.
  • The minimum percentage for DU JAT is as follow:
    • for General/OBC category: 60%
    • for SC/ST: 50%
    • for CW/PWD: 54%

DU JAT 2018 Application Process

Steps to apply for DU JAT Exam:

  • First, Create the Login ID and Password on the official website of DU JAT exam.
  • Candidates have to now fill in their personal details, Education Qualification and Contact Information to apply for DU JAT Exam.
  • After the candidate is done filling the form, they can pay the application fee using Debit/ Credit Card.
  • At the time of completion of the payment of the fee, an acknowledgement Slip is generated.
  • Candidate should carry the printout of the acknowledgement slip with them till the time of the admission is sought in a college.

DU JAT 2018 Application Form Details

Application Form will be available online on 13th of May. Candidate can fill the form and pay the fee according to the category they belong.

For General Category: Rs.600 for one course, Rs.800 for two courses, Rs.1000 for three courses.

For SC/ST/CW/PwD Category: Rs.300 for one course, Rs.400 for two courses, Rs.500 for three courses.

Application fee can be paid online, Remember that the application fee is not refundable.

DU JAT 2018 Admit Card

Admit Card for DU JAT will be available in the first week of June.

Steps to download Admit Card for DU JAT Exam:

  • Visit the official website of DU JAT 
  • Click on DU JAT Admit Card Link
  • Enter the DU JAT Application Number and Password
  • The DU JAT admit card will appear on Screen
  • Save it in pdf format and take print out of it.

DU JAT 2018 Exam Pattern

DU JAT exam consists of 100 questions and it is an objective type exam. The time duration for DU JAT is 2 hours and the total marks allotted is 300. each correct answer will get 3 marks and one mark will be reduced for every wrong answer.

The following is the test area-wise number of questions:

  • Quantitative Ability - 30 Questions
  • Logical Reasoning - 30 Questions
  • English - 30 Questions
  • GA/BA - 30 Questions

The Syllabus for DU JAT exam is as follows:

  • English
  • Logical reasoning
  • Data Interpretation and Data Analysis
  • Quantitative and Numerical Ability

DU JAT 2018 Results

  • Results for DU JAT Exam will be announced on the official website. The shortlisted candidate will be called for GD and PI rounds on 2nd of July.
  • The final selection is based on the overall score obtained in DU JAT 2017 entrance test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
  • The selected candidates are eligible for admission into the first year of BMS, BBA (FIA) and B.A. (Hons.) Business Economics.
  • The final DU JAT result includes the candidate’s name, category, entrance score, GD & PI score, total score, combined rank and category-wise rank.

DU JAT 2018 Counselling

  • Counselling for DU JAT will starts after the final results of DU JAT exams are out. i.e, in the last week of July.
  • Without attending the DU JAT counselling process, candidates will not be allowed for the admission process.
  • Selected candidates have to carry their original mark-sheets and certificates at the time of DU JAT counselling and if they fail to carry their original certificates and mark-sheets their admission will be cancelled.

I HAD A QUERY REGARDING LATERAL ENTRY ADMISSIONS THAT DU TAKES TO THE SECOND YEAR IN THESE BMS AND BBA COLLEGES.

There is no provision for Lateral Entry to any courses other than B.Tech through DU JAT.
