Eligibility Criteria for GPAT 2018:

To appear for GPAT 2018, there is eligibility criteria set for every candidate. If you fail to fulfill those eligibility criteria, you cannot sit for the GPAT examination. In order to be eligible for the GPAT 2018 test, the candidates are required to meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • He/she must be a citizen of India to be eligible for the GPAT exam.
  • The candidate should have passed class 10th and 12th examination from any recognized board to be eligible for the GPAT exam.
  • He/ She must be a bachelor's degree holder in Pharmacy (4 years) to be eligible for the GPAT exam.
  • All those who are still appearing for the final exams of B. Pharmacy are also eligible to apply for GPAT 2018. However, they must ensure to bring their result during the GPAT counseling otherwise their registration will be canceled.
  • There is no age limit set for candidates applying for Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT).

The applicants should meet the following conditions to apply.

  • Applicants must have paased high school and intermediate examination from a recognised board with FC as minimum.
  • Applicants must have completed graduation in Pharmacy.  
  • Applicants pursuing last year of undergraduate pharmacy course are also eligible to apply for the entrance exam.
    However, candidates pursuing second year of graduation are not eligible for the exam.

Bachelor’s degree holders in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2, including lateral entry candidates).

GPAT score card is generally valid for 1 year.

However, after completing M. Pharm Degree if a candidate is interested in enrolling themselves for a Ph.D. degree then GPAT score card is valid beyond one year and the applicant need not appear in Ph.D. entrance exam conducted by Indian universities.

Is a 3rd year student of B.Pharmacy eligible to write the test ?

In order to be eligible for the test, the student should have given their final exam of B.Pharmacy or they should be in their final year. Hence a third year student is not eligible for the test.
