    India accounts for more than 12% of the worldwide annual average of 12.4 Million global road fatalities of which drunken driving is one of the leading causes. In 2015, nearly 54.1% of road traffic deaths occurred among people aged 15–34 years.
    As part of the Diageo – United Spirits Sustainability and Responsibility strategy, the ‘Road to Safety’ initiative endeavours to bring collective consciousness around responsible drinking, road-safety and, encourage citizens to ‘Never Drink and Drive.’

    Speaking about this unique youth summit, Abanti Sankaranarayanan, Chief Strategy and Corporate Affairs Officer, United Spirits said “Each of us and especially the youth, the biggest drivers of change, have a crucial role to play as responsible citizens to reduce road fatalities in the country.
    At Diageo – United Spirits, we are committed to the cause of road safety. We are proud of our association with the Delhi School of Economics for driving the cause of road safety amongst its students and for taking this initiative further to other educational institutions.

    Addressing the Youth Summit, Mr Sanjay Kumar (IAS), Excise Commissioner, Delhi said “I believe the issues of road safety can be addressed with the collaborative effort of government bodies and citizens especially the youth. Though millennials are sensitised to the alarming state of road accidents their involvement is very critical.
    Initiatives such as the Diageo – United Spirits Road to Safety programme will definitely bring about a behavioural change in millennials who are the future users of road infrastructure.

IIFT 2017 Important Dates

  • Application Form: The last date for obtaining the application form online as well as at the counter at IIFT is on the 5th of September 2017.
  • Payment for the Application: The payment has to be done on the 5th of September 2017.
  • Examination Dates: The Examination will commence on the 25th of November 2017.
  • Availability of the Answer Keys: The results will be released on the 04th of January 2018.
  • Commencement of Course: The course will commence on the 1st week of January 2018 
  • Payment dates for NRI Candidates: The last date for obtaining prospectus and receipt of applications for Foreign Nationals/NRIs/Children of NRIs is on the 15th of February 2018.

IIFT 2017 Eligibility

  • Minimum Education Qualification: Recognised Bachelors Degree of 3 years.
  • Nationality: Indian or NRI.
  • Age Limit: No age limit.

IIFT 2017 Application Process

The Application Process for IIFT 2017 is open until the 5th of September 2017 for the General/SC/ST/PH/OBC (NCL), and 15th of February 2018 for Foreign Candidates/NRI. The Application Process is conducted Online and Offline, candidates can choose the category they wish to apply in and start filling out the basic information on the Application Form for IIFT 2018 Examination. Once the application has been submitted successfully the Application Number will be sent to the registered email address. 

Log in to the website using the Application No. and Password entered by you during the time of submission of the application. Complete the application process by following the links. You will then receive intimation regarding the completion of the application form and your successful registration for the exam. Candidates will now select the mode of payment, the options are Online Payment Gateway (Debit/Credit card) and Demand Draft (DD has to be made in favour of INDIAN INSTITUTE OF FOREIGN TRADE payable at NEW DELHI details of which has to be filled in the online application form). Upload your scanned photograph and signature. Candidates are advised to take a printout of the application and keep it with them for Future Reference.

  • Application Fee: General/OBC- INR 1550/-, SC/ST- INR 775/-, NRI- USD 80 (INR 4500 approx).


IIFT 2017 Admit Card

  • Admit Card Availability(both online and via post): On the 1st week of November 2017  
  • Valid ID Proofs: Driving License, Voter ID, Adhar Card, Pan Card, 
  • Guidelines: The candidate needs to go to the official IIFT site where there will be a link to download the Admit card.The candidate must enter his/her name and IIFT Application number in the page that opens.All the details asked must be filled in correctly to proceed. Once the correct details are submitted, the admit card will appear on the screen. Download and Print the admit card. Carry the printout along with an ID proof to the Examination Hall.



IIFT 2017 Exam Pattern

  • Type of Exam: Objective Type.
  • Sections in Question Paper: 4-sections namely, English Comprehension, General Knowledge & Awareness, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Analysis.
  • Language Medium of Paper: English.
  • Duration: 02 Hours.

IIFT 2017 Syllabus

Candidates are advised to have knowledge about the various topics present in Quantitative Ability (25 questions to answer), Logical Ability (20-25 questions to answer), Data Interpretation (19-25 questions to answer), Verbal Ability (20 questions related to language and vocabulary to answer), General Awareness ( 25-10 questions to answer).

  • Announcement of Results: First week of January 2018
  • Availability: Online, PDF format
  • Instructions: The results pdf file will contain the roll numbers of only those candidates that are selected will be listed, Candidates have to enter their IIFT 2018 Application number and DOB to download the .pdf scorecard. Candidates are advised to take a printout of the scorecard, as it is an important document which has to be shown during the Counselling and the Admission Process. 

IIFT 2017 Counselling

Candidates are required to make the payment of the counselling fee to IIFT. After the payment is done, the candidate will have to put in his/her choice of campus (either Kolkata or New Delhi). The candidate will receive their campus on the basis of the IIFT written examination.The candidates who have secured a higher rank in the IIFT written exam will be given priority in choice of campus. A few days after the IIFT Counselling, IIFT will release their list of seat allotmentsDownload the seat allotment letter from the official portal of IIFT. Report to the allotted campus within the given dates with a copy of the allotment letter.

For an NRI candidate to get admissions in IIFT, he must fulfil all the Basic Eligibility Criteria and he must clear GMAT as well.

Seats are reserved for Foreign Nationals/NRI's/children of NRI candidates who will be considered solely based on their GMAT score.

The number of seats offered by the IIFT Delhi & Kolkata is:

How will the seats be allotted to the candidates after IIFT 2017 examination?

The admission process for IIFT is categorised in two stages:

Stage 1- Short Listing of Candidate: After IIFT examination, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of marks obtained in IIFT 2017 examination.

Stage 2- Final Selection:  After short listing, candidates will be called for Essay Writing, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview to be held in January/February 2017. The IIFT GD/PI will be held at Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai.
