The IIFT 2017 Eligibility Criteria 

The candidate before filling up the Application Form has to go through the factors of Eligibility criteria of IIFT 2017. The eligibility criteria  is as follows:

Eligibility Criteria for IIFT 2017 for General/ SC/ST/OBC/PH category:

  • The Candidate must have a Bachelors degree in any discipline with a minimum duration of 3 years.
  • There is no age limit for taking up the IIFT 2017 examination
  • Indian citizens as well as citizens of a foreign nation, can apply for IIFT 2017 
  • Candidates in their final year of Graduation are eligible to apply provided they submit the proof of the required eligibility criteria before the deadline. 

Eligibility Criteria for IIFT 2017 for NRI/Foreign Candidates:

  • Seats are reserved for Foreign Nationals/NRIs/Children of NRI candidates who will be considered based on their GMAT score.
  • A candidate will be considered ineligible to write IIFT 2017 if the applying candidate fails to clear the Bachelor's exam.
  • The candidates who are NRI- Sponsored are not considered.

        If the candidates fulfill the eligibility criteria which is given above.The candidate can start filling the application form of IIFT 2017.

  • Candidate should have obtained recognised Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration.
  • Candidates appearing for a qualifying examination can also apply subject to proof of prerequisite qualification by October 7, 2017, for IIFT.
  • No age limit.

The Eligibility criteria in terms of Nationality is given below:

  • Indian candidates, as well as the foreign candidates are eligible to apply for the post graduate program offered by the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade.
  • The terms and conditions applied to the Indian candidates are also applicable for Foreign candidates.
  • The foreign candidates can avail the application form till 15 February 2017. They will have to pay Rs. 4,500 as the application form fee.
  • The candidates can appear for the exam either from New Delhi or Kolkata.

How are seats allotted for IIFT?

The seats are allotted after the following process:

  1. Shortlisting: After the IIFT exam, candidates will be shortlisted based on the marks obtained in the exam.
  2. Final Selection: After the candidates are shortlisted, they would have to do essay writing and group discussion.
  3. Interview: The last process is personal interview, after which the candidates will be allotted seats.
