JEE Main 2018 Results:

  • The result of JEE Main 2018 indicates the score, All India Rank (AIR), state rank, cut off, and condition for qualifying for JEE Advanced 2018.
  • Once the JEE Main 2018 exams have been conducted, the answer keys for all sets (A, B and C) will be released.
  • Students can clear any discrepancies or challenge the JEE Main 2018 answer key, paying Rs. 500/- per clarification via Demand Draft drawn in favor of The Secretary, CBSE and payable at New Delhi.
  • After the clarifications are done, the final JEE Main 2018 answer keys will be released by the end of April 2018.
  • Candidates will be able to view their JEE Main 2018 OMR sheets and the marks obtained.
  • Candidates can view the marks by entering the JEE Main 2018 registration number and date of birth.
  • A final list of All India Ranks for JEE Main 2018 will be issued in the month of June.
  • Only the candidates who qualify in the JEE Main 2018 will be eligible for JEE Main 2018 for counseling and B.Tech admissions.
  • The JEE Main 2018 scorecard must be downloaded and printed for further use. It will be required for the counseling procedure and until the B.Tech admissions are completed.
  • Those who qualify in JEE Main 2018 with the required eligibility marks will be shortlisted for JEE Advanced.

How To Check JEE Main 2018 Results:

Step 1 : All students must visit the Official Website of JEE Main:

Step 2 : Enter Details:

All candidates must click on “Results for JEE Main 2018”. All users can enter their JEE Main 2018 Roll Number and Date of Birth (DOB) to check results.

Step 3 : Result Card:

An example Result Card is shown below, which shows how JEE Main 2018 Result Card going to look like.

 Cut offs for JEE Main 2017 for different categories were as follows:

  • For General category (GM), the minimum score required was 81.
  • For OBC Category, the minimum candidate score required was 32
  • For SC and ST categories, the minimum score required was 32 and 27 respectively.

Score and Result for JEE (Main) - 2018

The score and rank of Paper-I of JEE (Main) – 2018 for all candidates will be declared in April 2018 (tentative).

This score shall comprise the actual marks obtained in Paper-I of JEE (Main) – 2018 along with the status of those who qualify for appearing in JEE (Advanced) – 2018 provided and the rank shall comprise All India rank and All India category rank.

Note: Only the All India Rank (AIR) is used for admissions through Central Seat Allocation Board to NITs/IIITs/CFTIs/SFIs/Others, while other ranks are for information purposes.

All the candidates are advised to download their score/rank cards from the JEE (Main) website (http://jeemain.nic.in) only.

In case of a tie, i.e. when two or more candidates obtain equal marks, inter-merit of such candidates shall be decided in the order mentioned below:

  • Resolution by marks obtained in Mathematics in JEE (Main) – 2018. Candidate obtaining higher marks will be given better rank.
  • Resolution by marks obtained in Physics in the JEE (Main) – 2018. Candidate obtaining higher marks will be given better rank.
  • Resolution by finding the ratio of positive marks and negative marks. Candidate having higher absolute value of the ratio will be given better rank. If the resolution is not possible after this criterion, candidates will be given the same rank.
  • Resolution by marks obtained in Aptitude Test in Paper-2 (B. Arch./B. Planning.) in JEE (Main) – 2018. Candidate obtaining higher marks will be given better rank.
  • Resolution by marks obtained in Drawing Test in Paper-2 (B. Arch./B. Planning.) in JEE (Main) – 2018. Candidate obtaining higher marks will be given better rank.
  • Resolution by finding the ratio of positive marks and negative marks. Candidate having higher absolute value of the ratio will be given better rank. If the resolution is not possible after this criterion, candidates will be given the same rank.

Candidaates will have to log into the JEE MAIN 2017 examination website using their register number and password. Upon availability of the admit card, candidates can download it from the website.

What if I qualify for JEE Main and still does not make it in the merit list?

It doesn't work that way.

When you clear the JEE Mains, you will automatically be qualified for JEE Advanced.

Then you need to clear your JEE Advanced also to make it in the merit list.

This gets you ready for the counselling process.
