Eligibility Criteria for KEAM 2018

The applicants of KEAM 2018 must fulfil the eligibility criteria mentioned by the specified authorities conducting KEAM 2018. The eligibility criteria for KEAM 2018 is given below:

  • Applicants should have successfully completed their Higher Secondary Examination (12th grade) or equivalent from a recognised board. 
  • Applicants should be an Indian citizen, an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) or a Person Indian Origin (PIO).  
  • Applicants should have a minimum of 50% marks in their 12th standard qualifying exam.
  • Applicants should have chosen PCM in their higher secondary examination if they want to join the courses based on engineering and architecture.
  • For opting course based on medicine, applicants must have chosen Biology as the main subject in their Higher Secondary Course. 
  • Special considerations are provided for scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, backwards classes and physically handicapped candidates. Under these categories, the applicants should have an aggregate score of 50%.  
  • The aggregate score must be 40% for reserved quota candidates.
  • If the applicants are physically challenged, they should have a minimum aggregate of 45% for appearing in KEAM 2018.
  • When it comes to the age limit, no relaxations are permitted. The applicant must be 17 years old for appearing in KEAM 2018.
