Eligibility Criteria for KEAM 2018:

Candidates willing to apply for KEAM 2018 must have the following qualifications as specified by the relevant authority-

  • Candidates who have passed 10+2 from HSE Board.
  • Candidates must be an Indian national or Person of Indian Origin or Overseas citizen of India.
  • Candidates must have scored at least 50 per cent aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
  • He/she must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of taking KEAM for technology and agriculture courses. He/she must have had Biology as the main subject if interested to apply for medical courses via KEAM.
  • The University has reserved quotas for scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, other backwards classes and physically handicapped candidates. For such candidates, the aggregate marks required for the graduate level qualifying exam is 50 per cent.
  • Reserved quota candidates need to have scored 40 per cent in the qualifying examination. For Physically Handicapped candidates these marks stand at 45 per cent.

  • The minimum age for KEAM 2017 is 17 years as on 31st December of the year of admission. There is no provision for upper age limit. Age relaxation will not be permitted.

What is the KEAM eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualification?

The Educational Qualification for KEAM is given below:

  • Candidates who have passed their Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala with 50% marks in Mathematics separately and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together will be eligible for admission in KEAM 2017.
  • Candidates who have passed their Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala with 45% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry will be eligible for admission under Management Quota seats in Private Self-financing Engineering colleges/Government Controlled Self Financing Engineering Colleges.
  • The Higher Secondary Examination in Kerala where their Board exam are held for both the years, their marks for both the years will be counted/if the Board exam is held at the end of Class XII then marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics will be considered/for other courses marks shown in the mark list will be considered as eligibility for applying.

  • Once the candidate is eligible to apply for KEAM 2017, he/she can fill in the Online form on the official website for notifications about the form release.  
  • The form release date will be in the month of January 2017.
  • Once the form is available, the candidate has to fill in details regarding his/her identity, qualifications and contact details.
  • Candidates will receive a password and login details via SMS and email that were put in the form during registration.
  • Make sure a recent passport sized photograph and digital signature is uploaded with the form. Read the complete Official Brochure and the eligibility norms mentioned before filling in the form.

The candidate from the reserved category appearing for KEAM should have scored 40% in the qualifying examination or equivalent.

For Physically Handicapped candidates the marks required is 45%.
