About MAH CET:

  • MAH CET  is a State Level entrance exam which is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra for the admission in B.Tech, B.Pharm, Pharm D., MBA and MMS courses.
  • The score of this test will be accepted by all colleges participating in the Counselling Process.
  • The mode of the entrance exam will be Online and it will be held in March.
  • The DTE, Maharashtra is in charge of conducting the MAH CET examination every year.

MAH CET 2018 Important Dates

Exam wise Important Events for MAH CET:

The Applications for MHT CET 2018 will be available from 21st January 2018. Candidates interested can visit the official web page for MHT CET 2018 to start their Application Process.

The applicants can fill out the required details in the application form and pay the fee until 13th February 2018. The Candidates who have applied successfully can log onto the MHT CET 2018 website on 23rd February 2018 to download the Admit Card.

The MHT CET examination will commence 4th March 2018. The Candidates who appeared for the examination can expect the results on the official website on 10th March 2018.

 

MAH CET 2018 Eligibility

The Eligibility Criteria for the MHT CET 2018 depends on the Degree the Candidate is appearing for as follows:

  • Candidates appearing for MHT CET 2018 Health Science Degree should be born on or after the 31st of December 2000 to satisfy the Age Eligibility Criteria. Candidates should be medically fit as per the standards of the respective medical body. A Medical Certificate in this regard should be submitted for the Candidate to be considered eligible. The applying candidate should have passed the 10th Final Examination from a school under the Maharashtra State Board as well as the 12th Final examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English as subjects.
  • Candidates appearing for MHT CET 2018 Engineering and Pharmacy must be citizens of India and are required to have passed the 10th Final Examination from a school under the Maharashtra State Board as well as 12th Exam from any board. Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, however, candidates belonging to the SC/ST category of the society need to have at least 45% aggregate to be eligible. However, there is no age limit for candidates applying. 
 

 

MAH CET 2018 Application Process

Application Process for MAH CET:

 

The interested Candidates can visit the official website for the MHT CET 2018 examination. During the application process, the Candidates will have to specify his/her qualifications and the last qualifying examination before filling in the other details on the form. Once this has been completed the Candidates will be directed to a page where they have to fill in their Personal Details such as Contact Information, Age of the candidate, etc.

The Candidate will also be asked to choose a valid password consisting of an upper case, lower case, alphanumeric and special characters and a security question for logging in. The Candidates will also be asked to upload a Digital Signature before finishing up the Application Process.

Candidates are advised to have a thorough check on the provided information in the Application Form since no further changes can be made in the case of errors once the Application Form has been submitted.

The final step of the Application Process is the payment for the application which can be done using a Credit  Card / Debit Card / Net Banking or using an E-Challan payable via cash at a State Bank Of India Branch near you.

Once this has been completed the Candidates will have to stay updated on the website for the availability of the Admit Card.

MAH CET 2018 Admit Card

  • Open the Official Website for MAH CET 2018.
  • Go to the section for Admit Card downloads.
  • Fill in your Registration Number and Password.
  • Download and print the Admit Card.

The Admit Card contains details and instructions regarding the exam. It is essential that candidates verify the details on the Admit Card. Authentication of the details on the Admit Card is essential. Any discrepancies in the Admit Card should be reported to the exam conducting body immediately.

A downloaded copy of the Admit Card will be considered as valid. Candidates must preserve the Admit Card until the admission process is over for the purpose of verification.

It is advisable that candidates have a few extra copies of the Admit Card.

Plagiarising the Admit Card is a punishable offence. Action will be taken against any candidate found to be tampering with the Admit Card.

If an Admit Card is found to be tampered with, the candidate might be barred from writing the exam.

MAH CET 2018 Exam Pattern

The examination would be conducted on-line on a computer.

All the questions will have Multiple Choice Section of the five answers to a question only one will be the correct answer.

Candidate will receive 4 marks for every correct answer and for every wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted for PG exams while there will be no negative marking for UG exams.

Unanswered questions will get no marks.

The candidate has to select the most appropriate answer and ‘mouse click’ that alternative which he/ she feels is appropriate/ correct. The alternative/option that is clicked on will be treated as the answer to that question.

The answer to any question will be considered for final evaluation, only when candidates have submitted the answers by clicking on “Save & Next” or “Mark for Review & Next”.

The clock has been set at the server and the countdown timer at the top right corner of your screen will display the time remaining for you to complete the When the clock runs out the exam ends by default - you are not required to end or submit your exam.

To select a question to answer, you can do one of the following:

  1.  Click on the question number on the question palette at the right of your screen to go to that numbered question Note that using this option does NOT save your answer to the current question.
  2.  Click on ‘Save & Next’ to save answer to current question and to go to the next question in the sequence
  3.  Click on ‘Mark for Review and Next’ to save answer to current question, mark it for review, and to go to the next question in sequence

To select your answer, click on one of the options

To change your answer, click another desired option button

To save your answer, you MUST click on Save & Next.

To deselect a chosen answer, click on the chosen option again or click on the Clear Response button.

To mark a question for review click on Mark for Review & Next. If an answer is selected for a question that is Marked for Review, the answer will be considered in the final answer.

To change an answer to a question, the candidate must first select the question and then click on the new answer option followed by a click on the Save & Next button.

Questions that are saved or marked for review after answering will ONLY be considered for evaluation.

  • Test name(s) will be displayed on the top bar of the Questions in a test can be viewed by clicking on the test name. The test you will view will be highlighted.
  • After clicking the Save & Next button on the last question for a test, you will automatically be taken to the first question of the (next)
  • You can move the mouse cursor over the test names to view the status of the questions for that
  • You can shuffle between test and questions anytime during the examination as per your
  • The candidates are requested to follow the instructions of the “Test Administrator” If any candidate does not follow the instructions/rules, it would be treated as a case of misconduct/ adoption of unfair means and such a candidate would be liable for debarment from appearing for examinations for a period as decided by CET Cell.
  • The candidates may ask the Test Administrator about their doubts or questions only before the commencement of the No query shall be entertained after the commencement of the examination.
  • After the expiry of 150 minutes, the candidates will not be able to attempt any question or check their The answers of the candidate would be saved automatically by the computer system even if he/ she has not clicked the “Submit” button.

Note:

  • Candidates will not be allowed to “finally submit” unless they have exhausted the actual test time duration.
  • Under no circumstances should a candidate click on any of the ‘keyboard keys’ once the exam starts as this will lock the entire exam process.

MAH CET 2018 Results

The results will be published on 10th March 2018. The result will be published only online.

How to check the Results:

  • Log on to the Official Website. (http://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/approvedinstitues/StaticPages/HomePage.aspx.)
  • Fill in the required details.
  • Access the results.

The results will be declared only once and will not be changed. The results show's scores as well as the percentile obtained by the student.

Each candidate will be assigned a merit number based on his results. Admission and seat allotment will be done on the basis of merit.

It is compulsory to confirm the Application Form at the ARC's.
