  • The Government of Maharashtra conducts the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test, commonly known as MHT CET 2018, annually, for screening candidates who are seeking admission into various courses for Engineering and Pharmacy across the colleges in the State of Maharashtra.
  • The institutions that are part of the MH CET 2018 umbrella include government-aided institutes as well as some private institutes.
  • The Applications Forms will be open by March 2018 and all detailed information about the test may be found herewith.
  • All disputes pertaining to the conduct of examination and selection shall fall within the jurisdiction of Courts, at Mumbai. The Commissioner State CET CELL shall be the person in charge of MHT CET 2018 
  • The Commissioner of State CET Cell has been designated as Competent Authority for conducting MHT CET 2018 and selection of candidates for admission to 4 Year Duration Full Time Under Graduate Degree courses in Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy and 5 Year Duration Full Time Under Graduate Degree course in Pharm D.

MHT CET 2018 Important Dates

The Applications for MHT CET 2018 will be available from the 4th week of March 2018. Candidates interested can visit the official web page for MHT CET 2018 to start their Application Process.

The applicants can fill out the required details in the application form and pay the fee until the end of March 2018. The Candidates who have applied successfully can log onto the MHT CET 2018 website on the 4th week of April 2018 to download the Admit Card.

The MHT CET examination will commence in the month of May 2018, the Candidates who appeared for the examination can expect the results on the official website by the 1st or 2nd week of June 2018.

MHT CET 2018 Eligibility

The Eligibility Criteria for the MHT CET 2017 depends on the Degree the Candidate is appearing for as follows:

  • Candidates appearing for MHT CET 2017 Health Science Degree, should be born on or after the 31st of December 2000 to satisfy the Age Eligibility Criteria. Candidates should be medically fit as per the standards of the respective medical body. A Medical Certificate in this regard should be submitted for the Candidate to be considered eligible. The applying candidate should have passed the 10th Final Examination from a school under the Maharashtra State Board as well as the 12th Final examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English as subjects.
  • Candidates appearing for MHT CET 2017 Engineering and Pharmacy, must be citizens of India and are required to have passed the 10th Final Examination from a school under the Maharashtra State Board as well as 12th Exam from any board. Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, however, candidates belonging to the SC/ST category of the society need to have at least 45% aggregate to be eligible. However, there is no age limit for candidates applying. 

MHT CET 2018 Application Process

The interested Candidates can visit the official website for the MHT CET 2018 examination. During the application process, the Candidates will have to specify his/her qualifications and the last qualifying examination before filling in the other details on the form. Once this has been completed the Candidates will be directed to a page where they have to fill in their Personal Details such as Contact Information, Age of the candidate, etc.

The Candidate will also be asked to choose a valid password consisting of an upper case, lower case, alphanumeric and special characters and a security question for logging in. The Candidates will also be asked to upload a Digital Signature before finishing up the Application Process.

Candidates are advised to have a thorough check on the provided information in the Application Form since no further changes can be made in the case of errors once the Application Form has been submitted.

The final step of the Application Process is the payment for the application which can be done using a Credit  Card / Debit Card / Net Banking or using an E-Challan payable via cash at a State Bank Of India Branch near you.

Once this has been completed the Candidates will have to stay updated on the website for the availability of the Admit Card.

MHT CET 2018 Application Form Details

Candidates applying for the MHT CET 2018 examination have to note that the examination fees for the candidates belonging to the Reserved Quota is INR 600/- however Candidates who belong to the below-mentioned categories are applicable of INR 800 (+60 Bank Charges).

The payment can be made using a Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking or using an E-Challan which is payable via cash.

  • Outside Maharashtra Resident candidates.

MHT CET 2018 Admit Card

The Admit Card for the Candidates who have applied for the MHT CET 2018 examination will be available on the official site of MHT CET in April 2018. The Admit Card is an important document to be carried by the Candidate on the day of MHT CET 2018 examination. Candidates who do not have the Admit Card with them on the day of the Examination will not be allowed to write the exam. 

Candidates should use their Date of Birth provided during the Application Process and the Password to log in and download the Admit Card. Candidates are advised to preserve the Admit Card for future references. Candidates should note that the Admit Card will not be sent via post or E-mail. Once downloaded Candidates are advised to check all the details mentioned on the Admit Card, to make sure no errors have been made. 

Any discrepancies in the admit card should be reported to the exam conducting body immediately. A downloaded copy of the Admit Card will be considered valid. The Admit Card should not be Tampered with, as this will result in the Candidate getting Barred from writing the MHT CET 2018 Examination.

MHT CET 2018 Exam Pattern

The Examination of MHT CET 2017 is pen-paper based, the candidates applying for the examination will have to take up the exam at offline centres.

The Candidates are tested via three papers according to their stream. Candidates from Health Science will have to pick Paper 01 and Paper 02 where the former consists of Physics and Chemistry for a total of 100 marks (50+50) whereas the latter consists of Biology for a total of 100 marks as well.

Candidates from Engineering will have to select Paper 01 and Paper 03 where the latter consists of Mathematics for a total of 50 marks.

The Examination Paper will be in OMR format and Candidates will have to complete the same in 1.5 hours. Each question carries 1 mark for a right answer except for Mathematics wherein each right answer will fetch 2 marks, there are no negative markings in the MHT CET 2017 Examination Paper.

All papers will be available in Marathi, Urdu apart from English. Candidates are allowed to use black ball pointed pens only.

MHT CET 2018 Syllabus

The Syllabus for the MHT CET 2018 examination will consist of all the key concepts that the Candidates have already covered in the HSC examination of the Maharashtra Board.

Candidates should have a look at Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for their respective papers.

MHT CET 2018 Results

The Results for the MHT CET 2018 examination will be announced in the month of June 2018 on their official website under the Results Tab. Candidates will have to use their application number, password and security code to access the Result. Candidates are advised to take a hard copy of the Results in .pdf format.

Candidates should note that the Results will not me emailed or posted to them.

Candidates who have discrepancies with their Results and are willing to verify their marks will have to submit a written request to the concerned authority, along with a Demand Draft of INR 1000/- in favour of the Commissionaire, State CET cell, Mumbai, payable at Mumbai. 

If any changes are made, the candidates will be notified. The answer sheet will be sent to the candidate via post after the results have been changed. The decision of the concerned authority will be final and no representations will be entertained after the specified period.

MHT CET 2018 Counselling

Candidates selected for the Counselling Process will be informed via a notification on their registered E-mail address or Mobile number.

Candidates who have qualified for MHT CET will have to appear for the Counselling process that is conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education and Research for health sciences and pharmacy courses. For Engineering courses, the Board has a separate body. Candidates appearing for the Counselling Process are advised to get all the necessary documents.

The process will commence in the mid of June 2018, depending on the merit rank obtained by the Candidate as well as seat availability, the final allotment takes place. The candidate must mandatorily carry the Score Card and Admit Card for MHT CET 2018 to the Counselling venue as specified by the authority.

MHT CET still offers admission to B.Pharm courses in various institutes across Maharashtra.

The access to the results of MHT CET:

  • The result for MHCET will be announced in the month of June. The same will be available at (www.mhcet.co.in) under Result tab.
  • The candidates will have to use their application number, password and security code to access the result.
  • A PDF version and hard copy of result needs to be saved by the candidate for future use and reference.
  • No mark sheet copy will be separately emailed or posted to any candidate.

Verification of the results:

  • Candidates who want to verify their marks will have to submit a written request to the concerned authority. The written request along with the demand draft of 1000 INR should be submitted within 4 days of the declaration of the results. The demand draft should be in favour of the commissionaire, State CET cell, Mumbai, payable at Mumbai.
  • If any changes are made, the candidates will be notified. The answer sheet will be sent to the candidate via post after the results have been changed. The decision of the concerned authority will be final and no representations will be entertained after the specified period.
