Application form, Dates, Syllabus and Pattern of UGC NET 2018:
National Eligibility Test (NET) is an entrance exam conducted at National level by CBSE under the guidance of UGC to pick the eligible candidates who can get posted as Assistant Professors.
This exam is also considered as the minimum eligibility to take part in Junior Research Fellowships (JRF).
Candidates who have cleared UGC NET Exams can be a part of teaching profession and research on several subjects of Humanities (including Indian and some foreign languages), Social Sciences, Computer Science and Applications, Electronic Science, Forensic Science and Environmental Sciences.
The UGC NET examination is conducted by CBSE in 83 subjects at 89 selected cities throughout the country.
UGC NET exams are generally conducted in the month of January and July.
The candidates must pay Rs.600 (for General Category), Rs. 300 (for OBC Category)/ Rs. 150 (for SC/ST/PWD Category) as the application form fee.
UGC NET exams are conducted twice a year so that the candidates can make use of the opportunities in the right way.
UGC NET Exams are held in several cities.
There is no particular Syllabus for UGC NET 2018. The candidates can choose the subjects from their field of excellence and a General Aptitude Test will be held.
UGC NET 2018 consists of 3 papers. Paper-I is common for all candidates; Paper II and Paper III consists questions from the selected subjects.
