The application form for UGC NET 2018 commence on 17th October 2017 till 16th November 2017.  
The Exam date for UGC NET 2018 Exam is announced on 22nd January 2018.
The UGC-NET exam is split into three different papers.

About UGC NET Exam:

  • CBSE conducts National Eligibility Test (N.E.T) for the eligibility of Assistant Professor in Indian Universities & Colleges and Junior Research Fellowship. CBSE conducts NET in 84 subjects. This Exam is conducted twice a year.
  • Candidates who have cleared UGC NET Exams can be a part of teaching profession and research on several subjects of Humanities (including Indian and some foreign languages), Social Sciences, Computer Science and Applications, Electronic Science, Forensic Science and Environmental Sciences. The UGC NET examination is conducted by CBSE in 84 subjects at 90 selected NET Examination Cities spread across India.
  • Candidates qualifying JRF will be eligible to recieve fellowship from UGC or other institutions under various schemes. During the period of Research there is monthly stipend of Rs. 25,000. The validity period of the offer is 2 years with respect to the date of issue of JRF Letter. 
  • UGC NET exams are generally conducted in the month of January and July. The candidates must pay Rs.600 (for General Category), Rs. 300 (for OBC Category)/ Rs. 150 (for SC/ST/PWD Category) as the application form fee. UGC NET exams are conducted twice a year so that the candidates can make use of the opportunities in the right way.

 

                                         

UGC NET Exams are held in several cities. There is no particular Syllabus for UGC NET 2018. The candidates can choose the subjects from their field of excellence and a General Aptitude Test will be held. UGC NET 2018 consists of 3 papers. Paper-I is common for all candidates; Paper II and Paper III consists questions from the selected subjects. Detailed notification would be available on the official website in the month of October.   

CBSE will conduct the next UGC-NET for Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor on 5th November, 2018 . The candidates who desire to appear in the test may see the detailed notification available on the website, from 24th July, 2018. The candidates are required to apply online from 1st August, 2018. The last date for applying online is 30th August, 2018 and fee can be paid up to 31st August, 2018.

CBSE conducts and gives the result for the exam. The E-Certificates of the qualified Candidates are provided by UGC-NET Bureau.

 Details Regarding the Aadhar Card

  • Accordingly, CBSE has decided to use Aadhaar for the applicants of UGCNET(November) 2018 , and hereby notifies the following:  
  • Applicants who are in possession of Aadhaar, shall enter Aadhaar number, name, date of birth & gender in online application for UGC-NET(November) 2018 for the purpose of his/her identity and authentication thereof.  
  • Applicants not yet enrolled for Aadhaar, are hereby required to make application for Aadhaar enrolment in case he/she is entitled to obtain Aadhaar. Such applicant may visit any Aadhaar enrolment center  to get enrolled for Aadhaar.
  • Applicants from J&K, Assam & Meghalaya need to enter the Passport number, ration number, bank account number or any other Government identity number provided they should select the city of examination in these states.

  • Candidates in final year of the Master's Degree can Apply.
  • Those candidates must complete their Master's Degree within two years from the date of NET results with required percentage of marks.

Rectification of OMR Sheet

Board has released notice regarding release of Photocopy of OMR Sheet and rectification in that, there are some points that are important to to note down.

  • The fee for rectification is Rs500.
  • The Application should be sent in the name to The Director, UGC NET.
  • Candidates must write the Names with Address & Roll number correctly. In case of payment through Demand Draft the Name & Roll Number should be mentioned on the backside.
  • The Photocopy will not be allowed for commercial purposes in any colleges or institutes.

UGC helps NET qualified candidates to bring their academic profile to the attention of universites/colleges to get them a suitable job. UGC helps them through their portal to get them a suitable job.  

  • Candidates looking for Jobs can always register & login with their respective password.  
  • The portal allows the candidates to browse and search for Jobs.
