Eligibility Criteria for UPTU 2018

  • Candidates must be permanent citizens of UP to be eligible to appear for UPTU 2018.
  • There is no age limit specified for candidates to be eligible for UPTU 2018.
  • The eligibility to appear for UPTU 2018 is a 12th level examination or its equivalent thereof and securing minimum 45% marks in aggregate in the required three subjects without grace.
  • In addition, the candidates must have studied Physics and Mathematics as their main subjects to be eligible for UPTU 2018. Candidates who are appearing for the qualifying examinations are eligible to appear for UPTU 2018 provided they have cleared the examination at the time of Counselling or they are not eligible.
  • For eligibility to gain admission to the first-year program of MBA/MCA/MAM, the candidate should have passed the Bachelors degree from a recognised institute and must have secured minimum 50% marks in aggregate or he/she is not eligible.
  • Candidates satisfying the eligibility criteria can fill the Application Form for UPTU 2018.
  • All candidates who are eligible for B.Tech are also eligible for B.Tech (Agriculture Engineering) and B.Tech (Biotechnology)
  • The candidate must have qualified CMAT/CAT/MAT to be eligible for UPTU 2018.

Eligibility criteria for UPTU 2018 (NRI Candidates):

  • The candidate must have secured 50% aggregate marks without grace marks in the degree programme from any recognised university to be eligible for UPTU 2018.
  • Admission to the first year of B.Tech/ B.Pharm, the candidate must have clearly passed 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognised Board / University securing minimum 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST Category candidates) in aggregate in required three subjects or he is not eligible for UPTU 2018.
  • Admission to the first year of B. Arch, a candidate must have clearly passed 10 + 2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognised Board / University and securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate to be eligible for UPTU 2018.
  • Admission to the first year of BHMCT/BFAD/BFA, candidate must have clearly passed 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognised Board / University and securing minimum 45% marks without grace (40% marks for SC/ST category candidates) in aggregate to be eligible for UPTU 2018.
