CAT Exam Centers:

  • Details of CAT 2018 test centres will be accessible from the official website.
  • While filling a CAT 2018 Application form, the candidate can choose up to 4 preferred exam centres, depending upon nearest exam centres to the candidate.
  • There are more than 2 lakh candidates who attend CAT exam every year.
  • The CAT 2018 will be conducted in around 140 cities.
  • The CAT exam centres are increased from 300 to 650.
  • The conducting authority will not accept requests for change of exam centre once it is allocated for CAT 2018. 

CAT Exam Centers in India:

  • There are 138 cities where CAT 2018 will be conducted.
  • This year, there might be some changes in the number of cities and examination centres. The decision depends on  IIM Lucknow and the list of cities can be changed or updated at any time.
  • Candidates are thus advised to keep on checking the official CAT website i.e. iimcat.ac.in to keep themselves updated.

How to Choose CAT Exam Center?

Candidates have to choose their preferred CAT test city from the above-mentioned test cities in India. For choosing the test centre, they will have to create a profile on the official CAT website and register themselves for CAT 2018. The exam authority tries to allow the first preferred CAT test centre to all candidates but there may be some circumstances where they might allow another test centre to the candidate, depends on the number students applying for CAT 2018. The procedure to choose their preferred test centre are given below:

  • Create a profile on the official CAT website i.e. iimcat.ac.in
  • Log in to your profile with the user id and password
  • Go to link to fill up the application form online
  • Now, select their preferred exam centre very carefully in the Application form.
  • Candidates will be able to select up to 4 test centre based on their preference.

Note- Candidates will not be allowed to change their preferred test centre under any circumstance. Hence, they must select the exam centres very carefully.
