About: Common Law Admission Test is one of the most important entrance examinations to gain admission in the top law colleges in India. It is also known as CLAT 2018 nationwide by law aspirants. It is conducted as per a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the Benefit of the students searching admission to various National Law Universities in the country.
Authority: The responsibility of Conducting the examination is given to a particular NLU Institution every year. CLAT 2018 is conducted by National Law Universities (NLUs) in India. There is a total of 19 NLUs in the country.
Courses: CLAT 2018 is conducted to grant admission to LLB and LLM courses offered at various institutes/universities across India.
Frequency: CLAT 2018 will be conducted once a year.
Seats and Exam Pattern: There are around 1100 seats in NLUs all over the country. The CLAT 2018 examination is conducted every year by 19 Law Universities in India in which a candidate’s skills are tested based on multiple choice questions(MCQ) asked from different subjects such as General Knowledge, Mathematics, English, Legal, and logical reasoning. CLAT 2018 Registration: Candidates can fill the CLAT 2018 Application form by paying fees from 1st January 2018.

Exam Date: The online exam for CLAT 2018 will be held on 13th may 2018 from 3 PM to 5 PM. Candidates who want to apply can check the details given below.
Offline Payment: The offline payment option will be available only till 28th of February 2018. Those who have generated challans through the payment gateway of HDFC bank on or before 28/02/2018 are required to remit the fees to the bank on or before 07/03/2018.
Application form: Candidate can fill the application form for CLAT 2018 Exam from 1st January 2018 on the official website.
Admit Card: Candidates can download CLAT 2018 admit Card from the official website on 20th April 2018.

Minimum marks: Candidates who have passed Class XII with a minimum of 45% marks are allowed to appear for CLAT 2018.
Age Criteria: There will be no upper age limit for UG Programme in CLAT 2018.

Documents Required: In CLAT 2018 Application form, applicants need to upload the Scanned copy of Photograph and Signature. Size of the Image should not be more than 100 KB. It should be in JPEG or PDF format. The photograph and signature of the candidate need not be attested while submitting the Online Application Form.

Mode & Maximum Marks: CLAT 2018 will be conducted in online mode and the examination will be for 200 marks.
Duration: The candidates will get 2 hours to complete CLAT 2018 examination.
ID Proof: Candidates need to carry ID Proof (Aadhar Card, Pan Card, License) along with the CLAT 2018 Admit Card.
Authorization: Any discrepancies in the Admit Card should be brought to the examination authorities immediately.

Reporting Time: The candidate is Advised to report to the exam venue as per the reporting time mentioned on the admit card.
Note: Candidates are not allowed to enter in the examination hall after the commencement of examination.
Rough Work: Scratch papers are provided to all candidate for rough work at the examination hall. Rough work cannot be done any other paper sheet, as nothing will be allowed inside the testing room. Upon completion of the test, candidates will have to hand back all the scratch paper to the administrator.
Personal Belongings: The candidate is not allowed to carry any personal belongings to the CLAT 2018 exam centre including but not limited to wrist-watch, cell phones, calculators, etc., In case of candidate carry the personal item, it will have to be kept outside the examination hall at your own risk. The examination centre will not responsible for any loss or damage of such items.
Punctual: If the candidate completes the exam before the scheduled end time, he/she will not be allowed to leave the exam hall. The candidate is allowed to leave the exam only after the scheduled three hours of the exam are over.
Photograph and Signature: Candidates should ensure that the signatures appended and photographs uploaded by them in their Application Form and Admit Card should be identical and there should be no variation of any kind.
Application dates: Registration for CLAT 2018 start on 1st January 2018 to 31st March 2018.
Admission: CLAT 2018 admission Start in the Fourth week of May 2018 to First Week of July 2018.

CLAT 2018 Counselling process includes the following steps:
Step 1: The university-wise first indicative list based on merit-cum-preference will be published on the CLAT 2018 official website.
Step 2: Payment of CLAT 2018 Counselling fee.
Step 3: The publication of the second list having the names of the finalized candidates will be done after the payment of counselling fee.
Step 4: Publication of third list allotting seats to candidates.
Step 5: Completion of admission formalities at the allotted NLUs.

I took admission in the college on the basis of class result where I scored 108...cut off was 100...people who don't qualify through CLAT..they can take admission through LSAT or on the basis of CLAT which their own entrance test. after clearing test followed by Personal interview.

Is there any way that I could practise for CLAT 2017?
The Mock Test will be available on the Official Website (www.clat.ac.in) shortly.
The candidate can use the same and practise as many times as he/she wants. This will give look and feel of the format of online examination (Computer Based Test) in a simulation environment.
It can also be downloaded and can be installed on a stand-alone computer with NO COST.
Is the CLAT exam a National level exam?
Yes, the CLAT exam is a National Level exam.
What is the age criteria for the CLAT 2017?
To be eligible to appear for the CLAT examination 2017, candidates from general category must not be older than 20 years as on July 1st, 2017. Candidates from SC and ST category should not be less than 22 years as, on July 1st, 2017 or they aren't eligible. There is no upper age limit specified and candidates above the specified age limit are eligible to apply for the CLAT exam.
