Application process for CLAT 2018 Examination

  • Candidates need to go to the official CLAT 2018 website to register for the online entrance test clat.ac.in

Registration Process:

  • Click on the “Apply Online” button that is present on the right-hand corner of the website
  • Applicants will be redirected to a new tab on clicking this button
  • Here you will be able to find the “Register Yourself” button, which you need to click in order to apply

  • In case candidate faces any issue or needs any clarification on how to fill the application form online, he/she can simply click on “How to Apply?” link to get step-by-step instructions on how to fill the application form online.
  • Once candidate proceed he/she will find the following page, candidate has to enter all the details
  • Candidate has to select the course and should continue by entering his/her name as per it mentioned in the Id Proof and the same Id Proof has to submit at the entrance of the examination
  • Candidate has to mention his/her Date of Birth and Parent's name
  • Next need to provide contact details such as Email Id, Mobile Number, Nationality etc
  • The candidate has to provide their own Email Id which he/she uses frequently. Any communication with the candidate will be done through email only.
  • After entering the security code candidate should click on submit button
  • After successful registration, the candidate will be provided with CAPS User Id and password through Email and SMS.

Filling the Application Form:

  • Once candidate successfully finish the Registration process, he/she should proceed to the application form
  • The candidate has to log in with given User Id and Password. Candidate can log in on clicking ‘Already Registered’ Tab

  • Before starting the application process candidate has to keep ready information such as- Personal Detail (Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, Parent’s Name, Parent’s Mobile Number etc), Address, Choice of CLAT Examination Centre, Candidates Photograph and Signature, Scanned copy of SAP Certificate, Scribe Declaration form for SAP candidates
  • Once candidate fills the necessary information, the candidate now should upload the Image file of Photograph and Signature (in JPG / JPEG Format), scanned copy of SAP Certificate in PDF format (if applicable) and in case of SAP candidates Declaration form. CAPS website allows saving of partially filled application form by log out, the candidate can resume filling the application form by logging in. Candidate should not SUBMIT the application form unless it filled completely. Incomplete will be rejected

  • Candidate should be aware that the application fee is non-refundable.
  • The candidate has to make payment through online mode only. Additional charges form bank might be applied during the transaction by the candidate
  • Candidate can make payment through net banking, debit card, credit card and any other payment option available on the payment gateway of the CLAT online application form. Depend on payment option charges will vary.

  • Once candidate make the successful payment of the application fee through online, the candidate can download the application form along with fee payment details in PDF format
  • Candidate will receive the message that his/her application form is successfully submitted
  • Candidate can print the application form for his/her personal records. Hard copy of application form should not send to CLAT Office
