CMAT 2019 Application form, Dates, Syllabus and Pattern:

CMAT Overview

Introduction to CMAT 2019:  

  • About: CMAT (Common Management Admission Test) is a national level test. CMAT is conducted for granting Admissions to Management courses in India.

  • Conducting Authority: CMAT is conducted by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education). CMAT 2019 test will be conducted as per the guidance of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.

  • Mode of exam: Common Management Admission Test 2019 is a Computer-based test. The examination is conducted in Online mode.

  • Frequency: CMAT is conducted by AICTE once every year.
  • Admissions: CMAT 2019 will grant admission to courses such as MBA, PGCM, PGDM and Executive PGDM in India and also to Top Management Colleges in India.

  • Colleges accepting CMAT scores: All AICTE-Approved Institutions, Universities, Affiliated colleges will accept CMAT 2019 Score.

  • CMAT Fees: The Application fee for CMAT 2019 is Rs.1400 for Gen/OBC and Rs.700 for SC/ST/PWD/Female candidates.

  • Merit list: CMAT 2018 All India Merit list has been released, candidates can check the merit list here.
  • Results Declared: CMAT 2018 result has been declared by AICTE on 15th February 2019

CMAT 2019 Important Dates:

  • Exam: CMAT 2019 will be conducted from 20th January 2019.

  • Application Dates: CMAT 2019 Application form can be filled online from 20th October 2018 and the deadline for the same is 25th December 2018.

CMAT 2019 Eligibility:

  • Age limit: There is no age limit specified for attending CMAT 2019.

  • Qualification criteria: The candidate must be a graduate (10+2+3) from any recognized university. The candidates who are in final year of their study can also apply for CMAT 2019.

CMAT 2019 Application Form Details:

  • Registration: In order to register for the CMAT 2019 test, the candidate will have to access the site as a new user. The self-registration form will have to be uploaded to the website with basic and correct details of the candidate.

  • Essentials: Documents required for Application process are- personal documents for address and identification, SSLC/10th Std/Equivalent Details, 12th/Equivalent/Diploma Course Details, Graduation Details, Other Professional Degree Details, Postgraduate Details.

CMAT 2019 Admit Card:

  • Issue date: If the candidate has registered their email address during registration, they will receive the Admit card via email.  CMAT 2019 Admit card will be available on 12th January 2019. 

  • Downloading the Admit Card: Admit card should be downloaded from the official website using registration number and password.

CMAT 2019 Exam Pattern:

  • Paper Pattern: CMAT 2019 will have 100 questions which are divided into 4 sections with 25 questions each. 4 marks are given for each correct response and 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. 

  • Duration: 3 hours will be given for a candidate to complete examination.

CMAT 2019 Results:

  • Result date: CMAT 2019 results will be announced on 15th February 2019 and will be available on the official site.

  • Process: The CMAT 2019 result can be checked by candidates by entering application ID and password.

CMAT 2019 Counselling:

  • Counselling Start Date: Counselling process of CMAT 2019 starts from 15th March 2019.
  • Documents Required: To attend CMAT 2019 counselling a candidate has to qualify the written and interview round. CMAT Admit card, CMAT Call letter, Degree certificate, Marksheets, CMAT Payment Challan copy are required for counselling.

CMAT 2019 Application Fee:

  • CMAT 2019 Fee: The CMAT 2019 Exam Fees for OBC and General category candidates is 1400 INR.

  • Payment mode: The fee can be paid through Net banking, Credit card or Debit card, the candidate might also deposit the fees as cash deposit at any State Bank of India branch against the challan that is generated online on the CMAT 2019 website.
  • Fee for Reserved category: For reserved quota, the CMAT 2019 Application form costs 700 INR. Candidates should bear the additional bank charges.

  • Non-refundable: Examination fee is non-refundable.

CMAT 2019 Paper Analysis:

Paper Analysis of CMAT 2019 : 

  • Overall Difficulty Level: The candidates who wrote CMAT 2018 felt that the overall difficulty level of the examination was Moderate. Less than 50% of questions in CMAT 2018 are termed as difficult.

  • Section wise Analysis: Students who attended the CMAT 2018 found the Language comprehension and the Quantitative section the toughest followed by the Logical reasoning section for both the Slots.

  • Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation: In Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation section almost all the areas were covered including Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry etc. Highest weight was given to Arithmetic.

  • Cut-off: If a student answers around 75 questions with 85 to 90 percent of accuracy, then he/she may get a call for PI or GD from top colleges.

  • Answer Key: Candidates can refer to the Answer keys for both Slot-1 and Slot-2 here.

CMAT 2019 Important Guidelines:

  • Admit card is mandatory: The candidate has to carry the CMAT 2019 admit card to the examination.

CMAT Guidelines

  • A photograph must be pasted on the Admit card: The Candidates whose Admit card doesn't have a Photograph pasted on it will not be permitted to appear for the CMAT 2019.

  • Report Early: The candidate has to report to the exam centre as per the reporting time mentioned on the admit card.

  • Should not be late: Candidates are not allowed to enter the examination hall after the commencement of exam.

  • Take an attested copy of 10th mark sheet: Candidate is advised to take an attested copy of 10th Mark sheet or equivalent. It is mandatory that the candidate name in the respective document matches the name in the admit card.

CMAT Guidelines

  • Scratch papers: Rough sheets are provided to all candidate for rough work at the CMAT 2019 examination hall. Rough work cannot be done any other paper sheet, as nothing will be allowed inside the testing room. Candidates will have to hand back all the scratch paper to the administrator on completion of the exam.

  • Personal belongings shouldn't be carried: The candidate is not allowed to carry any personal belongings to the CMAT 2019 exam centre including but not limited to wrist-watch, cell phones, calculators, etc., In case of candidate carry the personal item, it will have to be kept outside the examination hall at your own risk. The examination centre will not responsible for any loss or damage to such items.

CMAT Guidelines

  • Candidates cannot leave early: If the candidate completes the exam before the scheduled end time, he/she will not be allowed to leave the exam hall. The candidate is allowed to leave the exam only after the scheduled three hours of the exam are over.

  • Application Form: Candidates can register for exam from 20th October 2018. The last date to submit the application will be 25th December 2018. Hopefuls can pay the fee when they enrol, remember the last date to present the fee would be on the specified date.

  • Admit Card Date: Admit card will be released on 12th January 2019.

  • Exam Date: Exam will be held on 20th January 2019. The trial test will be available 2nd week of January 2019 (tentative). 

  • Result Date: The results of CMAT 2019 will be announced on 15th February 2019 (tentatively).

CMAT 2019 Eligibility Summary:

  • Domicile: Candidates' nationality should be Indian to appear for test.
  • Qualification Criteria: For a candidate to be eligible for  a n exam, the candidate must have passed his/her 10+2+3 from any recognized board.

  • Course wise eligibility: 

    • PGDM and MBA: A Bachelor's degree of minimum duration of 3 years. PGDM and MBA: A Bachelor's degree of minimum duration of 3 years. A minimum qualification of 50% (for general category) and 45% (for reserved categories) 

    • Executive PGDM: A Bachelor's degree of minimum duration of 3 years. Must have at least of 5 years relevant experience in managerial and supervisory capacities. A minimum qualification of 50% (for general category) and 45% (for reserved categories).

  • Documents Required: Caste certificate (if applicable), Dependent Certificate (if applicable), Income Certificate, Proformas etc., whichever applicable, according to the guidelines of the particular college/ institute are required to avail reservation in CMAT 2019.

CMAT 2019 Application Process

CMAT 2019 Application Process Summary:

  • Registration: The Application form can be filled from 20th October 2018 until 25th December 2018. Candidates must visit AICTE - CMAT official website as a new user to register for exam.

  • Self-registration form: Candidate has to upload self-registration form with some basic details of candidates .

  • Credentials: After submitting the form a six-digit password will be created. Password will be sent via Email or SMS to the registered mail id or phone number.
  • Fee: Application fee can be paid either in Online or Offline mode. The Application fee for CMAT 2019 is INR 1400/- and for SC/ST/PD it is INR 700/-.

  • Details Required: Candidate has to enter CMAT 2019 ID along with the password received to fill the main CMAT 2019 application form.

CMAT 2019 Exam Pattern

CMAT 2019 Exam Pattern Summary:

  • Subjects: CMAT 2019 has the following subjects: Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation, Language Comprehension,  Logical Reasoning and General Awareness.

  • Question Type: CMAT 2019 exam will have the objective type (MCQs) questions.

  • Marking System: Candidates have to answer 100 questions. For every right answer, a candidate will be awarded 4 marks while 1 mark will be reduced for every wrong answer.

  • Exam Duration: Duration of the exam is 3 hours(180 minutes).

  • Session: CMAT 2019 examination will be one-day single session exam.

CMAT 2019 Syllabus Summary:

  • Subjects: Syllabus consists of 4 sections: Data Interpretation and Quantitative Techniques, General Awareness, Language Comprehension and Logical Reasoning.

  • Logical Reasoning: The topics included in Logical Reasoning are Analogy, Coding and decoding, Analogy, Statement assumption etc.

  • Data Interpretation and Quantitative Techniques: The topics included in Data Interpretation and Quantitative Techniques are Algebra, geometry, fractions, decimals, Number systems etc.,

  • General Awareness: Some part of the exam paper will be based on general knowledge. General Awareness includes topics like current affairs, Geography, literature etc.,

  • Language Comprehension: The topics included in Language Comprehension are Paragraph completion, sentence completion, Reading comprehension, Jumbled paragraphs etc.,

CMAT 2019 Results

 CMAT 2019 Results Summary:

  • Result Date: Results can be viewed online on the official website. The CMAT 2019 Results will be declared on 15th February 2019.

  • Cut-off: CMAT 2019 result comes with details like total score as well as section-wise scores. The minimum cut-off might be 97-99 percentile for CMAT 2019.

  • Rank: CMAT result will also have national percentile CMAT 2019 rank.

  • Counselling: The candidates who clear the cut-off are eligible for the counselling process.

IBA takes into consideration, entrance examinations like CAT, MAT, CMAT. The admission procedure goes through one or two face to face interactive sessions with the faculty or the PRO or the CEO, it depends on the availability of the people. If the face to face is not possible as the candidate might belong from other states, then a telephonic cum Skype chat is made possible. The results come within one week. The Cutoff for the course is 60% in 10th, 12th and graduation degree.

In higher secondary school if having extra skills college will provide many other facilities and no boundation on admission if a percentage is low if some others skills in the student. When I took admission MHT CET, CMAT, CAT were the entrance test for admission. Admission procedure consists of gd pi rounds. I took cet for entrance. Normally the cut off is around 88 percentile.

There is no such eligibility criteria. A basic pass percentage is enough for getting through to BIMS. Entrance exams were not required back in 2015 but according to latest updates a CMAT entrance exam is required to be taken for admission. The typical cut offs for BBA(H) range from a 50-60% depending on the results of the year.

Yes, IFMR accepts CMAT score. The cutoff for CMAT 2017 was 91 percentile. However, IFMR follows profile-based shortlisting. Work experience, achievements and an overall academic record will also be given consideration.

Goa Institute of Management, Goa is one of the pioneer institutes in Management Training in India.

Getting an admission for any Management Course in Goa Institute of Management is an achievement there itself. 

In 2016, the cut-off scores for CMAT were set at about 99.85% for the Institute.

That means an individual should score a nearly perfect score in CMAT to be even considered for admissions at Goa Institute of Management.

This year, you can expect the CMAT cut-offs to be pretty much the same for admission purposes.

Candidates will need to bring the following identification documents on the test day:

 a) CMAT 2017 Admit Card with recent passport sized photo posted on it.

 b) At least one original (not photocopied/scanned copy) and valid (not expired) photo identification. The name on your photo identification must match your name as entered in the CMAT application. Acceptable forms of photo identification types are limited to Driver’s license, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, UID card or a notarized Affidavit (in English) with Photo, Signature, Date of Birth and Residential Address. Photocopies of the original are not acceptable. Candidates will not be permitted to take the test if photo identification is not presented.

 c) Notarized copy of Xth Mark sheet or equivalent Important: Admit Card and one photo identification, mentioned above, are mandatory in order to take the test.

Note: You will have to store all other personal items at the test centre at your own risk. Please do not bring any other items to the test centre, as they are not permitted into the testing centre for CMAT 2017.

At the test centre, each candidate will be seated at a desk with a computer terminal and he/she will be provided with a scratch paper for calculations. Rough work cannot be done on any other paper/sheet, as nothing will be allowed inside the testing room. On completion of the test, candidates will have to hand back all the scratch paper to the Administrator for CMAT 2017.

Yes, you can select up-to 3 cities giving an order of preference towards your test city. The first choice of a city will be given due consideration and weightage. However, actual allotment as per order of choice will be subject to availability of the slot in the particular city for CMAT 2017.
