About Us: Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) is a government-owned self-governing university. It has 3 campuses: two in Kochi district and one in Kuttanad, Alappuzha District of Kerala in India
Courses Offered: CUSAT offers more courses, which includes engineering, environmental studies, marine sciences, humanities, law, medical sciences and technology, science, social sciences and technology and also, has 27 departments for UG, PG, and research programs.
CUSAT CAT 2018 entrance exam is an important key factor for admission, as the applicant is placed on the basis of their exam performance.
Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) offers Dual Degree Programmes, B.Tech Lateral Entry Programmes and Certificate Programmes.
Admission: Based on this test performance, the candidates are shortlisted for admission to the UG, PG and PhD programmes of the CUSAT.

Admit Card: The admit card will be received by the candidates after filling the application form. The admit card will be available on the official website of CUSAT CAT 2018 on 15th April 2018.
Examination Date: The CUSAT CAT 2018 Exam will be scheduled on 28th April 2018.
Result: The result of the CUSAT CAT 2018 will declare on 18th May 2018.

Application Form: CUSAT CAT 2018 application form will be available from 8th February 2018 to 28th March 2018.
Examination: CUSAT CAT 2018 Exam will be conducted on 28th April 2018.
Result: CUSAT CAT 2018 results will be announced on 18th May 2018.
Before applying for the entrance exam, candidates must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria of CUSAT CAT 2018 exam.
Qualification: Among the key eligibility criteria include a pass in 12th examination in 10+2 system from a recognized board or its equivalent, with minimum 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for UG courses.
Application Form Dates: The application form for CUSAT CAT 2018 will be available from 8th February 2018 to 28th March 2018.
Application Fee: The candidates have to pay the CUSAT CAT 2018 application form fees through online, the application fee is INR 1000 for general category candidates and for SC/ST Category Candidates it is INR 500.

Availability: The admit card will be available for CUSAT CAT 2018 from 15th April 2018.
Exam Mode: CUSAT CAT 2018 Examination is the Computer-based exam. The exam will be conducted in online mode.
Time Duration: The time duration for CUSAT CAT 2018 exam is 3 hours. Each course has a different number of questions.
Candidates must have to be prepared for syllabus of CUSAT CAT 2018 before appearing in the examination.
The syllabus of CUSAT CAT 2018 will be based on the syllabus of Class XI and Class XII of the state board.
Credential: The Candidate should have to enter his/ her name, roll, number, course, and rank.
Declaration: The result of CUSAT CAT 2018 will be declared on 18th May 2018 at the official website.
The University shall be hosting the exam cutoffs for different categories which will form the basis of the merit list generation for different courses.
Date: The process of counselling starts from 22nd May 2018.
Those candidates who have cleared the entrance exam, they will be called for the counselling round.
The seats will be allotted on the basis of rank obtained in the entrance exam.
The notification of (CUSAT/CAT/LET/DAT) will be released in the second week of January 2018.

The last Date for Online CUSAT Registration is 28th March 2018.
The last week of April 2018 is the last date for the CUSAT online registration for Indian & NRI Candidates.
The last date for the online registration for the International Candidates/PIO/ Children of Indian Gulf Workers is in the last week of April 2018.
The last date for the CUSAT Payment of Fees (For Indian & NRI Candidates) is in the last week of February 2018.
The CUSAT Admit card Download Date (only for CAT/LET) will be 15th April 2018.
The CUSAT examination is scheduled on 28th April 2018.
The CUSAT results will be announced(CAT) on 18th May 2018.
There is a separate eligibility criterion for every programme.Candidates satisfying the eligibility criteria can fill the Application Form.
The eligibility criteria for CUSAT CAT 2018 is as follows:
The candidates belonging to the Kerala Scheduled Tribe (KST) and Kerala Scheduled Cast (KSC) communities are eligible only if they have minimum passing marks in the qualifying examination except for Marine Engineering to satisfy the eligibility criteria for CUSAT CAT.
For all UG courses (except Marine Engineering), the eligibility criteria for SEBC candidates with Non-Creamy Layer Status of Kerala State into B.Tech programme is minimum 45% in Mathematics and 45% in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) put together in the qualifying examination for candidates to satisfy the eligibility criteria.
For PG Courses, SEBC-NCL candidates of Kerala state are given a relaxation of 5% in the minimum marks for or unless otherwise specified.
The candidates applying for M.Tech Programmes with a valid GATE score card are eligible for 5% relaxation in the qualifying examination marks.
The candidates who want to pursue a B.Tech programme should have qualified class 12th from the state of Kerala or any other equivalent board with PCM.
The candidates applying for MBA programmes should clear MAT 2018/ C-MAT 2018/ CAT 2018 examination to satisfy the eligibility criteria for CUSAT CAT 2018.
Those candidates who want to get admission into the M.Tech programme (except Marine engineering), have to clear GATE 2018 or DAT 2018 (conducted by the university) to satisfy the eligibility criteria.
The CUSAT CAT application process is as follows:
The candidates have to register online for being able to fill up the CUSAT CAT application form.
The candidates have to enter their basic details such as name, date of birth, valid email ID, phone number, etc. to create their CUSAT CAT account.
A user-id and password will be created which will be sent to the candidate via mail or SMS.
The candidates will need to log in with the given user CUSAT CAT ID and password.
The candidates will have to enter all the details as asked in the CUSAT CAT application form.
After entering all the relevant details, candidates will require uploading the scanned images of their recent passport size colored photograph and signature.
The candidates will require paying the CUSAT CAT application fee online through Debit card/ Credit card/ Net banking or through Challan (SBI or SBT bank only).
The candidates must ensure to take a print out of the “Confirmation Page” and retain it for future reference.
It has been updated by the university that CUSAT CAT online registration will start from 8th February 2018.
The last date for online registration will be the 28th March 2018.
The last date for NRI candidates and for international Candidates/PIO/ Children of Indian Gulf Workers will lie in the last week of April 2018 After CUSAT CAT registration, a candidate can save the confirmation page for the future use. There is no need to send any documents by post.
Application Fee for CUSAT CAT:
The Candidates are required to pay the CUSAT CAT application fee through an online payment gateway or offline mode.
Applicants who are applying for the Post-Doctoral, Ph.D., M.Phil, Diploma & Certificate Programmers, are required to submit the CUSAT CAT application fee at the concerned departments in the form of DD from SBT or SBI drawn in favor of The Register, CUSAT, and Payable at Ernakulam.
The categories and the Application fees:
The general candidate's Application form will cost INR 1000/-
The SC/ST candidates Application form will cost INR 500/-
The International candidates like /PIO/ Children of Indian Gulf Workers Application form will cost US$ 100.
The NRI candidate's Application form will cost INR 6000/-
The additional Fee paid by the Candidates opting for Dubai as Test Centre Application form will cost INR 10000/-
The Ph.D. and M.Phil. Programmes Application form will cost INR 1000(INR 500 for the SC/ST candidates).
The Ph.D., Diploma, certificate Programmes Application form will cost INR 100(INR 50 for the SC/ST candidates).
All the candidates who have submitted the CUSAT CAT 2018 Application form successfully get entitled to receive their Admit Card, before appearing for the CUSAT CAT 2018 examination.

How to download the CUSAT CAT 2018 admit card:
Go to the official CUSAT CAT 2018 website.
Log in using the CUSAT CAT 2018 register number and password given at the time of CUSAT CAT application.
The CUSAT CAT admit card will be displayed on the screen, download the CUSAT CAT admit card and print it.
Important details about the CUSAT CAT 2018 admit card:
It is important for all candidates to verify the details mentioned on the CUSAT CAT 2018 admit card and any wrong information should be reported to the concerned authorities and the inconsistency should be removed.
All candidates must carry the CUSAT CAT 2018 admit card to the exam hall without fail.
Tampering with the admit card is not allowed. If a admit card is found to be tampered with, the candidate to whom the admit card belongs will be barred from writing the CUSAT CAT exam.
The CUSAT CAT 2018 will be conducted through an online test and the questions are based on the syllabus.
For every correct answer 3 marks will be awarded and for an incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted.

The results for CUSAT 2018 to be held in May 2018 will be declared by the Cochin University. The results will be declared on the official site of the conducting body.
Candidates can enter the roll number on their CUSAT CAT Admit card to view the results. A CUSAT CAT merit list will be prepared on the basis of the performance of the candidate.

A new page opens up. Enter the required details and click on submit.
The results will be displayed on the screen.
Print a few copies of the CUSAT CAT result for future reference.
The declared CUSAT CAT result will show the following:
Name of the candidate
Aggregate scores in the exam
Marks in individual section
Category wise cut off marks.
NOTE: The CUSAT CAT merit list for admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate courses will be published on the official portal of the University.
The counselling schedule will be updated on the official CUSAT CAT website.
Call letters or any other communications is never sent to the candidate by post, they are informed through SMS on the number registered. During the counselling session, candidates have to register themselves for the specific academic programmes of the University.
Also, at the time of counselling, candidates will be provided with a link that will help them in registering through the login portal. The registered candidates will be allotted seats as per their rank and availability of the seats.
