  • No LLB seat cuts: A major relief to those aspiring to join the Delhi University (DU) Law Faculty, the Delhi High Court asked that 2,310 students should be admitted in the LLB course.

  • Fewer seats for general category students: General category students will face tougher competition while vying for LLB seats in Delhi University this academic session.


DU LLB 2018 Eligibility Criteria:

  • Qualifications: For General and OBC candidates, a minimum Graduate/Post-Graduate Degree from any of the Universities in India or in Foreign Universities with at least 50% marks. However, there's 10% relaxation offered for OBC students.

  • Note: 5% relaxation is offered to the candidates belonging to physically handicapped (PH) and widows/wards of defence personnel (CW) category.

  • Exam Pattern: DU LLB 2018 Examination pattern consists of total 175 questions in the DU LLB examination all questions are multiple choice questions and medium of the examination is English.

  • Marking Scheme: There is negative marking in the DU LLB 2018 examination pattern. There will be 4 marks are given to the candidate for each correct answer and 1 mark is deducted for each wrong answer.

DU LLB 2018 Counselling process:

  • Procedure: There can be around five counselling sessions for students. The discussion will be done between the counselling members and shortlisted candidates. DU LLB 2018 Counselling will be done in the offline mode.

  • Payment: Candidates will be shortlisted and called out to attend counselling according to their merit in the examination. After all the formalities, the candidate is then required to submit the college course fee.

  • Eligibility criteria regarding education: Candidates who have completed their graduation and post-graduation from an Institution that is affiliated with them.

  • Eligibility criteria for General category candidates: Candidates who are planning to appear for the DU LLB 2018 examination are required to complete their graduation or post-graduation from Delhi University or UGC accredited institution or from a foreign university. Candidates should have scored a minimum of 50% in the exam.

DU LLB 2018 Admit Card

DU LLB Admit card 2018 Summary: 

  • Availing the admit card: The DU LLB admit cards are sent to the candidate's registered address. In case candidates do not get they admit cards then they can receive it from the Office of Admission Committee DU. To receive an admit card personally the candidate should submit two recent passport size photographs with a fee of Rs. 50/-

  • Procedure: The DU LLB admit card will be available on the official website and candidates can download it from the website. The admit card will not be mailed to the candidates. Candidates can go to the Existing User tab on the official website and enter their login ID and password. The candidate's profile will open. Now click on the "Download DU LLB Admit Card" button. Save and take a print out of the admit card.

  • Details: The DU LLB admit card contains the Name of the candidate, Roll Number, Exam Venue, Category, etc.

  • Identity Proof: Candidates have to carry an identity proof along with their admit card.

  • The photograph should be clear. The detail should be correct.

  • Tampering with the admit card will lead to disqualification of the candidate. Plagiarism is a serious offense and will have consequences.

  • Counselling date: The counselling the process will begin in the second week of July and will end in the first week of August 2018.

  • Mode: The counselling process will be held in offline mode at the university campus.

  • Procedure: The DU LLB 2018 counselling begins with verification of documents and verification of seats. The documents are kept in place. Counselling is based on the merit list.

  • There will be around five sessions of the counselling schedule, candidates are required to be present with their documents. session in person when the counselling schedule is announced then the seat is given to another candidate with merit. The candidate is required to pay the college fees once the process is completed.

  • Delhi University grants 2611 LLB seats in three different centers of the University based on the entrance examination of 2016.

No, a student cannot be transferred from one Law Centre to another in the first year of study. The transfer of a student in the third or fifth term shall be considered by the Admission Committee which comprises of the Dean and the Professors-in-charge of the Law Centers, within two weeks of commencement of teaching for DU LLB.
