About: GOA Common Entrance Test or GCET/GOA CET is a national level entrance examination that is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Goa.
Courses: The Institute provides admission to courses in engineering, medicine, allied health sciences, nursing, and Ayurveda in the state of Goa.
Seat availability: The GCET/GOA CET examination is conducted in May and there are around 1300 seats all across Goa.
Registration: Candidates have to register for GCET/GOA CET 2018 exam through online mode.
Level: Goa CET or GCET is a National Level Examination Conducted by the State Govt. of Goa.

Admissions to MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, Allied Health Sciences (Para Medical) & B.Sc. in Nursing Courses shall be based on NEET(National Entrance cum Eligibility Test) - 2018 to be conducted by CBSE and eligibility criteria prescribed by respective regulatory authority.
Admissions to B.Arch. course shall be on the basis of scores obtained at NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture), conducted by Council of Architecture, and qualifying exam(Std. XIIth /HSSC.)
Information regarding the admission process, schedule, eligibility criteria, merit list preparation, and other relevant details shall be duly notified.
Application Form: GCET/GOA CET 2018 application form commences on 22nd March 2018 to 3rd April 2018.
Examination: GCET 2018 Exam will be conducted on 8th May 2018.

Qualifications: The candidate who has passed his/her 10+2 from state board or any other recognized board with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as the compulsory subjects are eligible.
Age: The candidate should be at least 17 years of age for UG courses.

Mode: GCET/GOA CET 2018 Examination is Pen-paper based exam that is conducted in offline mode.
Duration: Time duration for GCET/GOA CET 2018 is 2 hours.

Credentials: The candidates should have to enter the name, mail ID, phone number, and state.

B.E: The Syllabus for B.E includes the topic from Physics, maths, and chemistry of Class XI and Class XII.
B.Arch: The Syllabus for B.Arch will be Prescribed by NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture).

Main Purpose: Dates are very important aspects of any entrance examination, the candidate will get know about the proper schedule for fill in the application form and entrance examination dates and any other important dates.
GCET application form availability: The GCET online application form will be available from 22nd March 2018 to 3rd April 2018.
GCET admit card: The GCET admit card will be available on 30th April 2018.
GCET exam date: The GCET examination will be held on 8th May 2018.
GCET result: The GCET result will be published on 17th May 2018.
GCET counselling: The GCET counseling process will begin on 1st June 2018.
The candidates must be a citizen of Goa for applying for this exam.
The candidates not having the valid Domicile or the citizenship certificate will not be eligible to apply for the exam.
Candidates must be of 17 years of age before the 31st December of the academic year for applying for the Medical courses i.e. MBBS/BDS.
There is no age limitation for the candidates for applying for any of the medical courses as per the norms of Eligibility Criteria of GCET 2018.
Candidates applying for concession in this must submit proof as specified.
Candidates must have passed secondary education (12th) from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC will have to secure a minimum of 45% marks. In case of and physically handicapped candidates, they are required to secure minimum of 40% marks.
Candidates who are appearing in the exam of the class 12th can also apply for the exam and they have to submit all the required documents till the date provided by the institution if they got selected.
Candidates not having the required percentage will not be able to take the exam and got selected for the admission process.
Registration of applicant:
Visit the official GCET website and download the form.
Choose your preferred GCET exam center.
Complete details about your education.
Check the information you entered once again and then submit it at the center along with three identical photographs. The candidate is required to submit Class 10 and 12 passing certificate along with Class 12 hall ticket.
The GCET forms are accepted until last week of April 2018 with a late fee of INR.1000/-.
The GCET application fee is INR. 1500/-.
The registration for this examination has to be physically done.

The candidate needs to download the form from the official website and then submit it, duly filled along with the application fees at the Center mentioned.
Two application forms will be issued for GCET/Goa Cet 2018 exam.
It will be distinguished as Form-A and Form-B.Candidates are required to fill Form-A, to apply for the entrance examination.
Whereas, Form-B will be filled for the admission into professional degree courses.
The forms are accepted up to last week of April 2018 along with the late fees of INR.1000/-.
The candidates also have the option of collection the GCET/GOA CET application forms from the designated centers in Goa.
The form is to be submitted along with three photographs of the candidate.
Follow the steps given below to download the admit card of GCET/GOA CET 2018:
Candidates have to submit the application number in person
Candidates must also collect the ‘photo GCET/GOA CET admit card’ on the same day after submitting application form
Check all details and get two to three photocopies of GCET/GOA CET hall ticket and keep it safe for further use.
The candidates will find the following details printed on the admit card:
Name: Full name of the candidate entered while filling up application form
Photograph: Photograph submitted along with the application form
Roll number: Candidates will be provided with a roll number to appear in GCET 2018.
Exam venue details: Address of GCET exam center.
Exam code: Centre code will be printed on the admit card
Exam Date and Time: It is compulsory to appear for GCET in two days
Date of birth of the candidate: Candidate’s age as provided in the application form.
The GCET examination is in English and is conducted in a pen paper mode.
Candidates need to carry a black ballpoint pen to answer the questions.
It will be a multiple choice examination with four options available for each question.
Each correct answer will fetch you one mark.
The GCET examination will be conducted over a period of two days.
The questions in the exam will be asked from the syllabus of class XI and XII, as according to the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
The GCET examination has four papers consisting of two hours each.
The papers consist of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science.
There will be 75 questions for one mark each.
Thus, there will be 225 questions in total for a duration of 2 hours.
There is no negative marking.

Step to download GCET 2018 results:
The result of GCET 2018 will be announced tentatively in the third week of May 2018.
The given steps can be followed by the candidates to check the GCET 2018 result:
The view the individual result of GCET 2018, the candidates will have to select “GCET Number” option.
Next, the candidates will have to enter their roll number.
The individual GCET Result 2018 will be displayed on the screen.
The candidates can check the GCET result and print it out for future use.
Note: The candidates will also be able to view the result of all candidates which will be uploaded online in downloadable PDF format.
The successful candidates will have to take part in the counseling process which will in June 2018 and go on until July 2018.
The counseling will be held for Goa GCET 2018 admission for the candidates into the various engineering programs. Candidates must attend two rounds for counseling. The application Form B must be produced at the time of counseling.
Candidate must fill the form by their own handwriting. They must fix one passport size photograph in the form and another on the acknowledgment card.
Candidates must produce all the necessary documents required along with Form B without which they will not be allowed to take admission.
Candidates must note the scheduled dates allotted for counseling and attend the counseling process without failure.
At the time of counseling, candidates will be allotted seats on the basis of their rank.
The admission will be completed only after the candidate has deposited his/her original documents and paid the fees.

The candidate must clear the GCET exam and must have passed the 12th from a recognized institute. Minimum 60% cutoff mark is required.
People had to go through rounds of admission based on the scores of the GCET (Goa Common Entrance Test) wherein the cutoff scores were taken into account for filling up of seats in the desired colleges.
