The GPAT score is universally accepted by all the colleges/ Institutes/ Department/ Affiliated Colleges/ University approved by AICTE.

Application Form for GPAT 2018:

  • The application form for GPAT 2018 begins on the 10th October 2017  to 25th December 2017.
  • Candidates can fill the application form online from the official website.
  • The candidates should fill the correct details in the forms.
  • Candidates are requested to recheck the filled details before submitting the forms.
  • The process of filling application form will be completed only after paying the registration fee.
  • The registration fee is INR 1400/- for general category and INR 700/- for reserved category.

Admit Card for GPAT 2018:

  • The admit card is equivalent to the hall ticket.
  • The admit card will be uploaded on the official website on 16th January 2018.
  • Candidates can download the admit card from the official website of AICTE-GPAT using candidate’s login ID and password.
  • Candidates can click on admit card for more details about the admit card.
  • It is mandatory to carry admit card along with identity card to the examination hall.
  • failing in it the candidate will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.

Eligibility criteria for GPAT 2018:

  • The candidate must satisfy the eligibility criteria to write GPAT 2018.
  • Candidates must pass his/her 10th and 12th from any recognized board.
  • The candidate must be a graduate in pharmacy from a recognized Board or University.
  • There is no age limit for GPAT.

GPAT 2018 Scholarship:

  • Candidates who qualify the set cut-off of GPAT, AICTE provides the scholarship to them.

GPAT 2018 Important Dates

Important Dates Summary for GPAT 2018 

  • Commencement of application process: The GPAT online application process will begin on 10th October 2017.
  • Last date for online application: The GPAT online application process will end on 25th December 2017.
  • Last date for submitting GPAT application form: The GPAT application form should be submitted by December 2018.
  • Availability of GPAT admit card: The GPAT admit card will be made available on 16th January 2018.
  • GPAT exam date: GPAT exam will be held on 28th January 2018.
  • Result Date: The GPAT results will be declared on 8th February 2018.

GPAT 2018 Eligibility

Eligibility Summary for GPAT 2018 

The minimum eligibility criteria for GPAT 2018:

  • The candidates must be an Indian national.
  • The candidates must have completed their Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (4 years after 12th standard, including lateral entry applicants).
  • Those applicants who are in the final year of B.Pharma are also eligible to apply for GPAT 2018.
  • There is no age limit for appearing examination.

GPAT 2018 Application Process

Application Process Summary GPAT 2018 

  • GPAT application procedure: The candidates must go to the official website of GPAT and click on the application form link. Students are requested to fill in the required details in the GPAT application form.
  • Payment of GPAT application fee: After the GPAT application form is filled up, candidates must pay the application fee. The application fee is Rs. 1,400 for general category students and Rs. 700 for reserved category students. The fee can be paid either online or through SBI Challan. If the application fee is not paid, candidates will not be able to submit the application form.
  • Generation of login ID and password: On successful submission of the GPAT application form, a login ID and a 6 digit password will be generated.

Application Fee:

  • The GPAT application fee is INR 1,400 for general/ OBC students and it is INR 700 for SC/ST/PWD/Female students.
  • The application fee is subject to bank charges.

Mode of payment of application fee:

  • The GPAT application fee can be paid in online or offline mode.
  • In the case of online mode, the application fee can be paid through debit card or credit card, net banking or SBI bank challan.
  • In Offline mode, the application fee can be paid through E-challan of SBI.

Confirmation message: Students will get a confirmation message on their registered mobile number on successful payment of application fee.

GPAT 2018 Admit Card

Admit Card Summary for GPAT 2018 

Downloading of GPAT admit card:

  • The GPAT admit card must be downloaded from the official website using the login ID and password generated to the candidate.
  • The admit card for GPAT 2018 will be available from 16th January 2018.
  • In case the candidate forgot their password, they can retrieve it by using the password recovery question.
  • GPAT admit card will not be sent by post hence candidates must download it from the official website.
  • Students will not be allowed to enter the exam hall without the GPAT 2018 hall ticket.

  • The screen will display the admit card details.
  • Candidate needs to print the admit card and retain it till admission.

GPAT 2018 Exam Pattern

Exam Pattern Summary for GPAT 2018 

  • Paper Pattern: The GPAT exam will be an objective type exam. It will consist of MCQs.
  • Number of Questions: There will be around 125 questions for GPAT exam.
  • Time Duration: The exam will be held for 3 hours.
  • Marking Scheme: The candidate will be awarded 4 marks for every correct answer. There will be negative marking of 1 mark for every incorrect answer. The GPAT exam will be for 500 marks.
  • Parts in GPAT paper: There will be 4 parts in the GPAT exam i.e Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, and Pharmacognosy.

GPAT 2018 Syllabus

The GPAT exam will comprise of 4 major sections a brief of which is given below:

  • Syllabus for Pharmaceutics: Physical Pharmacy, Microbiology in Pharmacy, Stoichiometry etc.
  • Syllabus for Pharmaceutics Pharmaceutical Chemistry: Biochemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis etc.
  • Syllabus for Pharmacology: Immunopathophysiology, Fundamentals of general pharmacology etc.
  • Syllabus for Pharmacognosy: Sources of Drugs, Tannins, Fibers etc.

Steps to check results:

  • Candidates must go to the official website of GPAT and click on the result link.
  • The login ID and password must be entered and the results will appear on the screen.

Merit List:

  • The merit list will be prepared based on the score and rank of the candidates.
  • The percentile will be calculated based on the total number of candidates who appeared for the exam and the score of the candidates.

 The pre requisites before registration for GPAT 2017 are:

  • A Computer with good Internet connectivity so that there is no malfunction during registration
  • All your qualification details as you need to enter them while registering for GPAT exam
  • You need to upload your scanned photo while registering, hence keep ready a scanned clear photo of yours taken on a white background. The size of this photo should be 140 x 160 (60Kb)
  • You need to upload your scanned signature while registering, hence keep ready your scanned clear signature done on a white background. The size of this signature file should be 60 x 90 (30Kb)
  • A Valid e-mail id which you will be using at least for the next 6 months. All communication will be done on this e-mail id which you will enter while registering for GPAT exam
  • A Valid mobile number as all information via SMS will be sent to this number
  • A valid Credit / Debit card in case you want to pay ONLINE
  • A Printer connected to your system as you will have to PRINT 3 copies of CHALLAN in case you are planning to pay by CASH at the bank
