Eligibility Criteria for IBPS RRB 2018

Candidates must necessarily produce the relevant documents in original and a photocopy in support of their identity and eligibility pertaining to category, nationality, age, educational qualifications, etc. as indicated in the online application form.The candidate will see major differences between IBPS RRB Officer eligibility criteria and IBPS RRB office assistant eligibility.


Nationality/Citizenship: 

Participants must have this citizenship which is given below:

  • Citizen of India
  • Citizen of Nepal
  • Citizen of Bhutan
  • A Tibetan refugee
  • Migrated Peoples from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, The United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

 


Eligibility for IBPS RRB Officer Scale I Post: 

  • Candidates must obtain a Degree in any discipline from a recognized University to be eligible for this exam.
  • Preferred degree criteria Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy.
  • Proficiency in local language.
  • Computer Knowledge.

Eligibility for IBPS RRB Officer Scale-II (General Banking Officer) Post:

  • Candidates must have a Degree in any discipline from a recognised University to be eligible.
  • Candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate to be eligible to apply.
  • Preferred degree criteria – Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics, and Accountancy.
  • Required Experience – Two years as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.

Eligibility for IBPS RRB Officer Scale-II (Specialist Officers) Post:

  • Information Technology Officer (IT Officer) – Must have Degree in Electronics / Communication / Computer Science / Information Technology or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
    Desirable: Certificate in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP, etc.
    Required Experience: One year.
  • Chartered Accountant – Certified Associate (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
    Required Experience: One year.
  • Law Officer – Degree in Law or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
    Required Experience: Two years as an advocate or should have worked as Law Officer in Banks or Financial Institutions for a period, not less than two years.
  • Treasury Manager – Certified Associate (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or MBA in Finance from a recognised university/ institution. 
    Required Experience: One year.
  • Marketing Officer – MBA in Marketing from a recognised university.
    Required Experience: One year.
  • Agricultural Officer – Degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Dairy/ Animal Husbandry/ Forestry/ Veterinary Science/ Agricultural Engineering/ Pisciculture with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
    Required Experience: Two years.

Eligibility for IBPS RRB Officer Scale III Post:

  • Candidates must have a Degree from a recognised University to be eligible.
  • Candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks to be eligible.
  • Preference Criteria having Degree/ Diploma in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Co-operation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics, and Accountancy.
  • Required Experience: Minimum 5 years experience as an Officer in a Bank or Financial Institutions.

Eligibility for IBPS RRB Office Assistant (Multipurpose) Post: 

  • Participant must have a Degree in any discipline from a recognised University or its equivalent to be eligible for this exam.
  • Proficiency in the local language as prescribed by the participating RRB/s.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of Computer skills.

IBPS RRB Age Criteria:

All aspirants required checking their age limit for IBPS RRB for all category posts. Age Criteria is different for all posts. Age will be calculated as on 01-09-2018.

  • Officer Scale-I: 18 – 30 Years (DOB between 3rd September 1987 to 30th August 1999)
  • Officer Scale-II: 21 – 32 Years (DOB between 3rd September 1985 to 30th August 1996)
  • Officer Scale-III:21 – 40 Years (DOB between 3rd September 1977 to 30th August 1996)
  • Office Assistant (Multipurpose):18 – 28 Years (DOB between 2nd September 1989 to 1st September 1999)

 

The candidates should check their educational eligibility criteria for IBPS RRB CWE before applying for the post. Educational Qualification criteria are different for each post in IBPS RRB Recruitment Process.

The required education qualification should be from a University/ Institution/ Board recognised by Govt. Of India/ approved by Govt. Regulatory Bodies and the result should have been declared on or before the date of application for IBPS RRB Office Assistants and Officers Exams.
