Eligibility Criteria for IBSAT 2017

  • Candidates have to satisfy the following eligibility under any circumstances to be allowed to write the IBSAT Exam.
  • Even if one of the eligibility criteria is not satisfied, the candidate will not be eligible to write the IBSAT Exam.
  • Eligible candidates can fill the application form for IBSAT exam. 

Eligibility Criteria for two-year Management Program:

  • The candidate has to finish their Graduation (any discipline) with 50% and above marks (as calculated by respective University) with English as a medium of instruction.
  • All applicants should have completed a minimum of 15 years of education (on 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 basis).
  • Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria of English medium in graduation have to submit the TOEFL/ NELT/ IELTS score by May 31, 2017.
  • Applicants in their final year bachelor’s degree course are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their graduation requirements (including practical examinations /viva /assignments) before May 31, 2017.
  • The last date for submission of proof of graduation is November 01, 2017.

Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D. Program in Management (Full-time/ Part-time):

  • The candidate has to complete their Graduation (any discipline) with 50% and above marks with English as a medium of instruction

And

  • The candidate has to complete their Postgraduation in Management (Full time with specialization in Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, and Operations from a UGC approved University with 55% and above marks);

OR

  • The candidate has to have a professional qualification like CFA/CA/CWA/CS with 55% and above marks.

Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D. Program in Economics (Full-time):

  • The candidate has to complete their graduation with 50% and above marks AND post-graduation in Economics or allied discipline with 55% and above marks
  • All applicants should have completed a minimum of 17 years of education (on 10+2+3+2 or 10+2+4+2 basis).
  • Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria of English medium in graduation and/or post-graduation have to submit the TOEFL/ NELT/ IELTS score by May 31, 2017.
  • Applicants who have completed their Graduation/ Post graduation on part-time, distance mode or online mode are not eligible for Ph.D. program of IBS Hyderabad.
  • Candidates who qualify on the basis of IBSAT/ GMAT/ CAT/ NMAT by GMAC will be called for Selection process at IBS Hyderabad in February 2017.
  • The final selection is based on performance in Group Discussion, Personal Interview, and the past academic record.

What is the eligibility criteria for the IBSAT exam?

The eligibility criteria for the IBSAT exam is as follows: -

  • The candidates must have a recognised bachelor’s degree of three years. 
  • The candidates should have obtained minimum 50 per cent marks in the qualifying exam.
  • The candidates should have a recognised Master’s degree of two years.
  • The candidates should have obtained minimum 60 per cent marks in the qualifying examination.
  • The subjects are Management, Mathematics, Economics, Psychology, Commerce, Sociology, Stats, Public Administration as well as allied subjects.
  • Those who have a professional qualification such as CA, CS, CFA or CWA with 60 per cent plus marks are also eligible for IBSAT 2017.
  • The medium of study must have been English for the candidate to be able to apply for IBSAT. In case the medium of study is not English then the candidate will need to provide the score for NELT, IELTS or TOEFL by May 2017.
  • The candidates appearing for their final year exam are also eligible. The mark sheets and documents for the same must be provided by November 2017 at the most.
  • The candidate should have completed 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 pattern of education.
  • Those who have part time or correspondence degrees are not eligible to apply for IBSAT.
