About: The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is an independent body in charge of planning agrarian training and research in India. It reports to the Department of Agricultural Research and Education, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare, Government of India. Formerly known as Imperial Council of Agricultural Research.
History: The Indian Council of Agricultural Research was established on 16 July 1929 as a registered society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 in pursuance of the report of the Royal Commission on Agriculture. The ICAR has its headquarters in New Delhi.
Conducting Authority: The Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR), New Delhi conducts All India Entrances Examination for Admission (AIEEA) to Undergraduate, Postgraduates and Doctoral degree programmes in agriculture and allied science for filling 15 % #seats in bachelor and 25 % seats each in Master.
Nationally Accredited: Today, the nation has a huge ICARAU system with a sum of 73 Agricultural Universities (AUs) including 61 State Agricultural, Veterinary, Horticulture, and Fisheries Universities.
Frequency: Indian Council of Agricultural Research conducts AIEEA Entrance Exam every year.
Entrance Exam: ICAR 2018 AIEEA exam is a qualifying examination which is necessary to be cracked by applicants for getting admission into UG/ PG Courses in Agriculture stream.
Seat allotment: Candidates appearing for AIEEA PG exam are offered admission to fill 25% seats in masters programmes [100% seats in ICAR-Deemed to be Universities (DUs)] as well as doctoral programmes offered at accredited Agricultural Universities.
Campuses: 3 Central Agricultural Universities (CAU Imphal; DR. RPCAU, Pusa, and RLBCAU, Jhansi), 5 DUs and 4 Central Universities having the rural personnel (Banaras Hindu University, Aligarh Muslim University, Viswa Bharati University and Nagaland University) granting different sorts of degrees in various orders of agrarian, Veterinary and partnered sciences.
University accepts AIEEA: At present, there are 59 (Tentative) Accredited Agricultural Universities (AUs) under ICAR-AU system under which admission would be conceded in licensed programs.
Overall graduates every year: Agriculture education system is delivering important human asset and every year around 15,000 graduates, 11,000 Masters, and 2,500 Ph.D.s are admitted.
Subjects: Under ICAR the undergraduate degree can be done in 10 subjects of agriculture and allied sciences and Master's degree in about 95 subjects awarded by universities associated with the ICAR and well recognized and accepted for higher education worldwide.
Counselling Fees: Applicants will have to register for ICAR counselling 2018 by paying INR.2000 after declaration ICAR AIEEA UG Exam result as the counselling fee using Credit Card/Debit Card or Net Banking.

Candidate can change the university or college even after the 3rd round of counselling.
It's mandatory for the candidates to pay the prerequisite fee for counselling.
The candidate is not allowed into the examination hall without valid government ID proof.
Undergraduates Courses: The candidate must have completed 10+2 with not less than 50% marks in aggregate for General, (40% for SC/ST and PWD).
Postgraduates Courses: The candidate must have secured at least 60% marks for General, for SC/ST/PH the requirement is 50% marks in any recognized university equivalent to the bachelor's degree.
Required Documents: In the application form, candidates have to upload scanned images of the photograph with name & date, signature & left-hand thumb impression (for boys) & right-hand thumb impression (for girls).
Credentials: The candidates are required to enter their Application Number and Password to download the admit card for ICAR AIEEA 2018.
Instruction: The candidate will not be allowed in the examination without self-attestation of Photo, Signature, and Thumb Impression on the e-Admit card.

Exam Pattern for UG:
Paper Pattern for UG courses: The exam pattern consists of single question booklet comprising of five subjects Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, and Agriculture. The Paper will have 180 multiple choice type questions for each subject

Syllabus pattern for UG: The ICAR AIEEA 2018 undergraduates syllabus has consisted of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, and Agriculture.
Syllabus Pattern for PG: The ICAR AIEEA 2018 postgraduates syllabus has consisted of subjects like Entomology, social sciences, statistical sciences, horticulture, forestry science, water science technology, etc.
Results Date: On the official website ICAR AIEEA 2018 results will be declared on 28th May 2018 along with the answer key and Merit List.
Merit List: The seats will be offered based on the merit obtained by the candidates in UG and PG All India Entrance Examination. On the basis of candidate’s merit in AIEEA UG, the National Talent Scholarships (NTS) will be awarded.
Mode of Counselling: Aspirants need not visit the campus or any other venue as the counselling process is online only. Only those candidates will be able to log in to counselling who have registered.
Seat Allotment: The courses and the institutions displayed to the candidates for admission will be according to their scores and eligibility. Download the provisional allotment letter and the printout has to be presented at the allotted University.

Completed (10+2) with an equivalent degree. Candidates should have cleared their qualifying examination with not less than 50% aggregate if they belong to General, OBC and UPS categories.
The minimum percentage to be scored in qualifying examination by SC, ST, and PC category students for admission is 40%.

Candidates need to fill the application form carefully, no correction is made once after the submission form.
Candidates have to upload scanned images of the photograph with name & date, signature & left-hand thumb impression (for boys) & right-hand thumb impression (for girls).
Candidates are allowed to submit only one application, more than one application will be rejected.
Before sending the hard copy of the application form, candidates must check the proof of fee payment has been attached.
Candidates have the option for payment of examination fees either using credit card, debit card, or Net Banking using Payment Gateway of Canara Bank

Candidates have to apply for ICAR only through online from the official website and are also downloadable.
The online application is available from 2nd April 2018 to 26th April 2018.
Candidates name should be given as per the 10th standard marks certificate and enter required details like category, academic details.

Examination Pattern for UG AIEEA:
UG AIEEA exam pattern consists of only single question paper containing 180 multiple choice questions. 60 question will be asked of each subject.
The questions will be asked in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Agriculture and duration of examination for 2 1/2 hours.
The overall paper has five subjects, but candidates have to attempt only three.
A total number of question paper will be of 720 marks and medium of examination is English and Hindi.
For the correct answer, 4 marks will be allotted to the candidates and there is a negative marking of 1 mark for every incorrect answer.
Examination Pattern for PG AIEEA:
The question paper of AIEEA PG admission test for each of the 20 major subject-groups consists of 150 MCQ type questions and 10 cross-matching type questions and question paper will be 650 marks.
The medium of the question paper will be English only.
For the correct response, 4 marks (for MCQ) & 5 Marks (for cross-matching type questions) will be awarded to the candidates.
There is the provision of negative marking of 1 mark for every MCQ incorrect answer and 0.2 marks for incorrect matching type sub-question/pairing.

ICAR declares the result of AIEEA UG 2018 and AIEEA PG 2018 on 30th June 2018.
Aspirants can check the result online through the official website of the council.
In case of candidates getting equivalent checks in the Entrance Examination, a relative merit-rank list will be resolved on the premise of marks acquired in the fundamental subjects Mathematics(PCM)/Biology(PCB)/Agriculture (ABC/PCA) in AIEEA-UG Examination.
In case if both candidates get equal marks candidate with higher age is preferred.Category-wise final merit-rank list for counseling might be prepared based on the reservation category data given by the candidate in OMR Answer sheet.
The seats will be offered based on the merit obtained by the candidates in UG and PG All India Entrance Examination.
On the basis of candidate’s merit in AIEEA UG, the National Talent Scholarships (NTS) will be awarded.
The counselling for UG & PG courses starts from 7th July 2018 and organized through online mode.
Candidates have to enroll in the counselling procedure. Only qualified candidates will be considered for admission to the Agricultural Universities.
Candidates have achieved a minimum of 50% marks for General and UPS categories and a minimum of 40% marks for SC/ST/PC categories in the Entrance examination.
List of original documents to be produced at the time of counselling is as follows:
All certificates and mark sheets/grade reports, in original related.
Candidates from SC, ST and non-creamy layer of OBC categories, Original Certificate as per Central Govt. requirements and issued by Competent Authority.
Medical Certificate in case of Physically Challenged (PC) candidates issued by Medical Officer.
Date of Birth (DOB) Certificate issued by Government of India or else proof of age(voter card).
Admit Card, hard copy of Online Application Form and letter issued by the ICAR to qualified candidates related to admission.
Passport size color photographs with name and photocopy of the Application Form.
Aadhaar card or Residence certificate.
The candidate must clear the ICAR 2018 exam and must be a graduate in B.Sc in relevant field from a recognized institute.
The candidate must clear the ICAR 2018 exam and must have passed the 12th from a recognized institute. Minimum 450/640 cutoff mark is required.
The admission at our college can be done in two ways; one is by the entrance exam which will be conducted by the college and another one is by the ICAR 2018.
