Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test (GGS IPU CET ) is a national level entrance exam conducted every year by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) for admission into B.Tech./ B.Com / MCA /LLB /MBA /BBA courses offered in colleges of Delhi NCR. The university offers admission into one of the top-ranked courses in the country and is extremely competitive.

Refund Procedure for Online Counseling:
On submission of withdrawal option online in the candidate's login ID for withdrawal of admission within stipulated dates, as after first counseling, second counseling, and as the procedure for withdrawal notified in the counseling schedule(s), an amount of Rs. 1,000/, will be deducted and a refund will be carried out accordingly for eligible cases.
IPU CET 2017 schedule, venue and other details will be displayed on the official site of the university before one week from the counselling starts. Candidates are required to report to the counselling venue along with the required documents at the prescribed date and time. The counselling will be conducted in three rounds. The counselling process will be conducted through both modes i.e. offline and online modes. The counselling fee will be Rs.1000/-. Candidates note down that the counselling fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.
The Counselling Fee's for IPU CET 2017 will Rs. 40,000, which has to be paid by the candidate before or at the time of First Round of Counselling.
The IPU CET 2017 Counselling will be conducted in three rounds.
The Counselling/Admission for all the other programs will be conducted offline by the University for all CET qualified candidates.
The candidates must also fulfill the eligibility criteria of the qualifying examination.
On the basis of merit of rank obtained in the Common Entrance Test (CET) 2017 programs are offered for candidates.
However, the candidates who will qualify CET 2017, must also fulfill the eligibility criteria of the qualifying examinations.
Admissions for IPU CET 2017 will be held for eleven programs such as, B.Tech, Lateral Entry to B.Tech for diploma Holders/Lateral Entry to B.Tech for B.Sc. Grads, BBA, BCA, MBA, MCA, LLB, B.Ed (Excluding B.Ed. Spl. Edu.), BJMC, B.COM (H)
The university will be conducting online counselling for eleven programs and also offline counselling for the rest of the programs.
All the admissions for IPU CET 2017 will be made through counsellings to be conducted by the University as per the procedure prescribed in this admission brochure, strictly on the basis of inter-se merit of the qualified candidates.
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) conducts IPU CET for admission into B.Tech./B.Com/MCA/LLB/MBA/BBA courses offered in colleges of Delhi NCR.
The conversion of seats reserved for SC, ST, Defence, Physically Handicapped and Minority to General Category shall be done only after the allotment during 2nd counselling for reserved category as per the University Reservation policy.
No such conversion will be allowed in the 1st round of counselling.
In case of students who have passed the qualifying examination through distance/open education system of any recognised university/board/institution, the necessary documentary evidence related to location of his/her study centre i.e. study centre proof, certificate from the university imparting open/distance education certifying the location of study centre must be submitted at the time of verification of documents.
All the candidates who wish to seek admission through online process for the respective CET Codes for which Online Counselling is being held and should log on to http://www.ipuadmissions.nic.in at the time of admission.
The following steps are to be followed to avail seats online:
a) Seats will be allocated only after the candidates will have filled their choices in the application form.
b)Who have not registered or have not filled the choice, in such cases the candidates will not be allowed to take part in the IPU CET 2017 Seat Allotment process.
c) On the basis of IPU CET 2017 Merit List, the seats will be allotted to the candidates.
d) It is mandatory to pay the counselling fee and a candidate fails to pay the application fee cannot proceed further.
e) After the choice filling round, the candidates will be allotted seats as per the merit list and respective category and region.
f) The result of Seat Allotment of IPU CET 2017 will be available online and can be checked by the candidate through his/her account.
g) Candidates can download the Provisional Allotment Letter. The option of printing the allotment letter will be provided only for the respective round and for the specific period.
h) After the Allotment of Seat, aspirants have to pay the part Academic Fee of Rs. 40,000/- to confirm. Any candidate fails to attend the counselling session, the candidate will lose any claim to the allotted seats and will not be considered further for any IPU CET 2017 Seat Allotment process.
i) After the payment will be done, if the candidate is satisfied with the seats allotted to them, they can click on “Freeze”, if they do not want to participate in other subsequent rounds.
j) Or, if the candidate does not click on “Freeze”, the seat allotted to him/her will automatically be allotted to the next higher preference. The particular candidate will not be allowed to participate in the counselling session under any circumstances.
k) The candidate can use “Withdraw” option, in the case of withdrawal from the allotted seat. After the withdrawal and refund of fees, the candidates will not be considered in the subsequent rounds, except “Spot Counselling”.
l) In the last round of online seat allotment, the region-wise and category wise seats will be converted to the unreserved category after doing seat allotment for the reserved category.
m) Only the candidates, who have paid Part Academic Fees of Rs. 40,000/- or have not confirmed their seats, and have not withdrawn will be eligible for the sliding round of online seat allotment.
n) After the sliding round of counselling, the candidates must report to the allotted college for document verification and payment of balance fees.
