Eligibility Criteria for IPU CET 2018

The foremost Eligibility Criteria for applying for IPU CET 2018 is that the candidates should be a class 12th pass recognized from CBSE Board or equivalent. However, there are other criteria's too, which a candidate must fulfil in order to be eligible for IPU CET. The respective course-wise eligibility criteria are as follows.


Eligibility for IPU CET 2018 for B.Tech:

  • Candidates must have passed 12th Class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent.
  • Candidate must secure a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
  • Candidates must have passed English as a subject in the qualifying exam.
  • The age of the candidate should not be above 21 years on August 01, 2018.

Eligibility for IPU CET 2018 for BCA:

  • Candidates must have passed 12th Class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent.
  • Candidate must secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in the qualifying exam.
  • Candidates must have passed English and Mathematics (or Computer Science or Informatics Practice or Computer Applications) as the subjects in the qualifying exam.
  • The age of the candidate should not be above 21 years on August 01, 2018.

Eligibility for IPU CET 2018 for BBA:

  • Candidates must have passed 12th Class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent.
  • Candidate must secure a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in the qualifying exam.
  • Candidates must have passed English as a subject in the qualifying exam.
  • The age of the candidate should not be above 21 years on August 01, 2018.

Eligibility for IPU CET 2018 for MBA:

  • Candidate must secure a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in bachelor's degree or must have passed the final examination from any of the following institutes - Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England, Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England, Institute of Company Secretaries of India
  • The age of the candidate should not be above 35 years on August 01, 2018.

Eligibility for IPU CET 2018 for MCA:

  • Candidate must secure a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in bachelor's degree.
  • Candidates must have passed English & Mathematics as the subjects in 12th Class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent if the bachelor's degree is not B.Tech, B.E., BIT, BIS, BCA.
  • The age of the candidate should not be above 35 years on August 01, 2018.

Eligibility for IPU CET 2018 for LLB:

  • Candidates must have passed 12th Class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent.
  • Candidate must secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in the qualifying exam.
  • Candidates must have passed English as a subject in the qualifying exam.
  • The age of the candidate should not be above 21 years on August 01, 2018.

What is the provision for the age relaxations for admission in the University?

  • The upper age limit may be relaxed up to a maximum of five years in exceptional cases by the Admission Officer (designated) of the concerned programme (except MBBS/BDS/PGMC/SSMC) if he/she is satisfied with the merit of the case. Candidates exceeding the upper age limit upto five years may provisionally apply/appear in the Common Entrance Test. However, they would be required to submit to the satisfaction of the Admission Officer an explanation regarding the gap period, i.e., the details of the period spent by him/her after passing the qualifying examination to justify the relaxation. Such explanation should be in the form of an application to the concerned Admission Officer along with supporting documents (if any). Any relaxation of age beyond this shall be given by the Registrar of the University. The candidates desirous of applying for age relaxation should apply in writing to Registrar, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. The application should reach the Admission Division of the University on or before the date specified at the address:
