About JCECE 2018:

  • JCECE 2018 Brief: JCECE stands for Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Exam. It is organized by the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) for admission to B.Sc. Agriculture, B.V.Sc. & Animal Husbandry and BHMS. Candidates having domicile proof of being from Jharkhand are the only ones eligible to apply. 

  • J.C.E.C.E.B: The Government of Jharkhand has delegated the authority to the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) for conducting entrance tests and to facilitate the intakes to various Institutions within the state.
  • Courses offered: Through JCECE 2018 candidates can enrol and get admission to the following courses: B.tech, M.B.B.S, Agriculture & Animal Husbandry [B.V.Sc. & A.H.].

JCECE 2018 Pattern :

  • The JCECE 2018 is conducted for three different subject combinations as a prerequisite to apply for different undergraduate programmes viz (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) for Engineering, (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) for Medical, and (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology) for both Engineering and Medical aspirants.

 JCECE 2018 News:

  • JCECE Exam 2018: The official date for JCECE 2018 exam is declared by the Jharkhand Board. The exam will take place on 26.05.2018.

  • Where to Apply: Candidates can fill the JCECE 2018  application form through the official website of JCECEB.

  • Results: The JCECE 2018 results will be published by the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) on its official website. 


 JCECE 2018 Eligibility Criteria: 

  • Eligibility: Candidate must have a pass in the 12th standard with a minimum aggregate of 45% in PCM(Physics, Chemistry, Maths) (40% for reserved category) to qualify in the examination.

  • The candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized Central/State board or its equivalent to be eligible for the JCECE 2018 Exam.

JCECE 2018 Application Form:

  • Availability: The JCECE 2018 application form is available online from 16th April 2018 to 10th May 2018 on the official website.

  • Application Details: Candidates who are applying online need not send the hard copy of the application form to the conducting authority, JCECEB.

  JCECE 2018 Admit Card:

  • Availability: The JCECE 2018 admit card will be available online on the official website from 16th May 2018.
  • Important documents: It is compulsory to carry the admit card/hall ticket along with a government approved id card to the examination hall, failing to do the same will prohibit the candidate from entering the examination hall.

 JCECE 2018 Exam Pattern:

  • Mode of Examination: The JCECE 2018 will be conducted in pen and paper mode (offline) only.

  • Marking Scheme: JCECE exam pattern 2018 is such that it will have 50 multiple-choice questions and each correct answer will award the candidate 1 mark.

JCECE Results 2018 : 

  • Date of declaration: The JCECE Results 2018 will be announced on 11th June 2018.

  • Scorecard:  The marks scored in each subject, total marks obtained, qualifying status and rank secured by the candidate will be mentioned in JCECE 2018 result/scorecard.

 JCECE 2018 Counselling:

  • Counselling: Candidates can participate in the JCECE 2018 counselling process as per the ranks obtained by them in the JCECE 2018 results.

  • Validation process: Candidates have to be present in person along with fee receipt of counselling, his/her original documents on the day of counselling for document verification and validation purpose.

 

JCECE 2018 Important Dates

  • JCECE online notification: The initial JCECE Online notification will be given in April 2018.

  • JCECE online registration: The JCECE online registration process will begin in Mid April 2018.

  • JCECE Admit Card: The JCECE admit card will be released in the last week of May 2018.

  • JCECE exam date: The JCECE exam will be held in the first week of June 2018.

  • JCECE result date: The JCECE result will be published in the month of July 2018.

  • JCECE counseling date: The JCECE counseling process will begin in the month of July and end in the month of August 2018.

JCECE 2018 Eligibility

Eligibility Summary for JCECE 2018 

  • Eligibility criteria regarding Nationality: The candidate should be the permanent resident of Jharkhand or Indian.

  • Eligibility criteria for the B.Tech course: The candidate should have passed their SC/10+2 or any equivalent examination with 45% marks. The applicant should be a resident of Jharkhand. There is no age limit.

  • Eligibility criteria for the MBBS course: The candidate should be 17 years old as on December 31st, 2018 to be eligible for the MBBS course. The applicants should have fulfilled the educational criteria according to the guidelines of M.C.I., Delhi. The candidates should have passed with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually.

  • Eligibility criteria for the Agriculture and Forestry course: The candidate should be from 17 to 22 years old as on July 1st, 2018 to be eligible to apply for the Agriculture and Forestry course. The candidates should have cleared their SC/ 10+2 or any equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects and one of the subjects should be Mathematics or Biology.

  • Eligibility criteria for the Animal Husbandry course: The candidate has to be 17 years old as on December 31st, 2018 to be eligible for the Animal Husbandry course. The candidates should have followed the guidelines mentioned by V.C.I. The candidates should have passed their SC/10+2 or any equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects.

JCECE 2018 Application Process

Application Process Summary for JCECE 2018

  • Registration fee: The registration fee for the General/BC-1/BC-2 category candidates for the PCM group(Engineering) is INR 1100, PCB group(Medical) it is INR 1200 and for PCMB(Medical and B.tech). The registration fees for the SC/ST category candidates for the PCM group(Engineering), PCB group(Medical) is INR 550 and for the PCMB(Medical and B.tech) group, it is INR 650.

  • Online process: The candidate has to visit the official website and click on the application form link. Candidates have to fill in their details. They will get an SMS with their registration number and login details. They have to log in and enter the details received. Candidates have to upload their scanned photograph and signature and pay the fees. Finally, they should click on the submit button to submit the form.

  • Online payment: The candidates can pay online using debit/credit card.

  • Offline payment: Candidates can download the application form from the downloads column of the official website. They will have to submit the form along with the DD/Challan to the following address:

  • Date: The JCECE initial online notification will be given in April 2018.

  • The JCECE application form can be filled in the month of April 2018.

  • Mode: The JCECE application form can be filled through three modes which are online, ICR application form and OMR application form.

  • Exam Mode: The JCECE 2018 examination is a pen and paper-based exam.

  • Type of questions: The JCECE exam consists of objective type questions.

  • The number of papers: There will be three papers which are Physics and Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology, Biotechnology.

  • Question base: The questions will be based on the CBSE Class 11 and Class 12 syllabus.

  • Subject groups: The subject groups are PCM, PCB and PCMB.

  • Marking scheme: Each section has 50 questions and each question carries 1 mark.

Syllabus Summary for JCECE 2018 

The main topics are as follows:

  • Physics: The main topics are as follows Introduction & Measurement, Description of Motion in One Dimension, Description of Motion in Two & Three Dimension, Laws of Motion, etc.

  • Chemistry: The main topics are as follows Basic Concepts and Atomic Structure, Bonding and Molecular Structure, States of Matter, Periodic Properties of Elements & Hydrogen, etc. The important topics are as follows Organic Compounds Containing Oxygen, Equilibrium, Chemical Kinetics, d & f block Elements, etc.

  • Mathematics: The main topics are as follows Sets, Relation & Functions, Complex Numbers, Quadratic Equations, etc. The important topics are as follows Integrals, Probability, Conic Sections, Straight Lines, etc.

  • Biology: The main topics are as follows Diversity in the Living World, Plant Kingdom, Cell and Cell Division, Physiology of Plants, etc.

JCECE 2018 Results

Results Summary for JCECE 2018

  • Date: The JCECE 2018 results will be declared in the month of July 2018.

  • Required: Candidates will be able to get the result from the official website using roll number or registration number.

  • Merit list: On the basis of candidate’s score in the written exam, a merit list will be prepared and accordingly the concerned authority will invite candidates to attend counselling process.

Procedure:

  • The results will be published on the official website.

  • The candidate has to go to the official website and click on the JCECE 2018 result link and enter their registration number and password.

  • The result will be displayed. The candidates must download the admit card.

JCECE 2018 Counselling

Counselling Summar for JCECE 2018 

  • Date: The JCECE counselling process will be conducted in the month of July and August.

  • Number of rounds: There will be two rounds of counselling.

  • First round of counselling: The candidates will be selected on the basis of the rank obtained. Once the certificates and documents have been verified the candidate will be allowed to select the desired stream.

  • Second round of counselling: If there are any non-allotted seats then there will be a second round of counselling.

  • Counselling fee: The General category candidates have to pay INR 300 and the SC/ST candidates have to pay INR 250 as counselling fee.

  • The eligibility criteria in Birsa Institute of Technology, Dhanbad is you must be a PCM student and you must apply for JCECE. The best college through this exam is Birsa Institute of Technology which has discipline. 
  • The Entrance examination for Birsa Institute of Technology is JCECE.
  • I got 85 /150 and took Chemical engineering but Information Technology was also available. In order to get mechanical or electrical engineering, The cutoff for General category is 95-100 marks.
