About JKCET Exam:

  • Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test popularly called as JKCET 2018 is a renowned state level medical entrance test conducted by J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations. The test is conducted to shortlist the eligible students for various medical courses in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. JKCET 2018 will be conducted as per the dates notified by the exam conducting authority The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE).
  • JKCET is held for candidates seeking admission into various professional courses such as MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, Physiotherapy, Diploma Dental Hygiene and B.E. in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) State.

JKCET 2018 Important Dates

  • JKCET Application forms: The JKCET application forms will be available from 2nd January 2018 to 7th February 2018.
  • JKCET Admit Card: The JKCET Admit cards will be available on 23rd April 2018.
  • JKCET Exam date: The JKCET exam will be held in the 6th May 2018.
  • JKCET Result date: The JKCET results will be published on 28th May 2018.
  • JKCET counseling date: The JKCET counseling process will be on 2nd July 2018.

JKCET 2018 Eligibility

  • Eligibility criteria regarding citizenship: The candidates must hold citizenship of Jammu and Kashmir.
  • Eligibility criteria regarding age limit: The candidates should be 17 years on or before December 31st, 2018.
  • Eligibility criteria regarding education: The candidates should have passed their 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from a recognized Board or University of Jammu and Kashmir.
  • Eligibility criteria regarding qualifying marks: Candidates should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in English, Physics, Chemistry or Biology. (40% for the SC/ST candidates).
  • Reservation of seats: Candidates have to upload an attested copy of their reservation category certificate. The seats will be allotted on the basis of merit. Only JKCET candidates will be considered for allotment of seats. An affidavit has to be submitted stating that no other member of the family has got the benefit of this category.

JKCET 2018 Application Process

  • Procedure: The candidate has to login to the official website and clicks on the "Common Entrance Test 2018" link. The candidate has to fill in their personal details, educational details, etc. The candidate has to re-check the details and upload a recent passport size photograph and signature. Finally, the candidates have to submit the form and pay the fees.
  • Payment mode: The JKCET application fees can be paid through online and offline mode. The application fees can be paid online using a Debit/Credit card. The application fees can be paid offline by generating an online Bank Challan of a J&K bank/HDFC bank in order to pay the fee amount in any branch of a J&K bank. The candidates have to pay Rs. 1000 as application fees.

JKCET 2018 Application Form Details

  • Date: The JKCET application forms will be available on 2nd January 2018.
  • Procedure: The JKCET application forms will be available online only. The application fee is Rs. 1000. The application fees can be paid using debit/credit card or net banking or by challan or demand draft from J&K/HDFC bank.
  • Important dates: The JKCET application forms will be available from February 2018 till March 2018. The test center will be allotted in March 2018. The candidates can reserve the test dates in March 2018. The admit card can be downloaded in March 2018. The JKCET examination will be held in the month of May 2018. The JKCET results will be declared in the month of September 2018.

JKCET 2018 Admit Card

  • Date: The JKCET admit card can be downloaded from the official website 23rd April 2018.
  • Details: The JKCET admit card will have the following details namely Name, Adress, Category, State of residence, photo and signature, roll number, date, time and venue.
  • The admit card is a mandatory document and all the details have to be correct. If there are any corrections it should be rectified before the commencement of the exam.
  • The admit card should be kept until the end of the admission process.
  • Any plagiarism will lead to debarment and serious consequences.

JKCET 2018 Exam Pattern

  • Exam mode: The JKCET exam is an offline exam.
  • Number of papers: There shall be two papers for each stream (PCB/PCM).
  • Paper A: This paper consists of questions from Physics and Chemistry. There will be 60 questions from each section.
  • Paper B: This paper consists of questions from Biology for PCB candidates. There will be 60 questions.
  • Paper C: This paper consists of questions from Mathematics for PCM candidates. There will be 60 questions.
  • Number of questions: There will be a total of 180 questions.
  • Duration: The exam will be for a duration of 3 hours.
  • Tye of questions: The JKCET exam will consist of objective type questions.
  • Exam medium: The JKCET exam will be in English.
  • Marking scheme: For every correct answer 1 mark will be awarded and for every wrong answer 0.25 marks will be deducted.

JKCET 2018 Syllabus

The main topics are as follows:

  • Physics: The topics include Physical World and Measurement, Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Work, Energy, and Power etc.
  • Chemistry: The topics include Chemical Arithmetic and Atomic Structure, Chemical Equilibrium, Chemical Kinetics, Solutions, etc.
  • Biology: The topics include Diversity and Classification of Plants, Morphology, and Anatomy of Plants, Plant Physiology, Reproduction in Flowering Plants, etc.
  • Mathematics: The topics include Sets, Relations and Functions, Complex Numbers; Linear in Equation; Linear Programming, Sequence and Series, Permutation and Combination & Binomial Theorem, Trigonometry, and Inverse Trigonometric Functions, etc.

JKCET 2018 Results

  • Result Date: The JKCET Result will be declared on 28th May 2018.
  • Procedure: The JKCET Result will be declared on the official website. Candidates have to visit the official website of "The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE). Candidates have to fill up their name, roll number and date of birth to access the results. The candidate has to click on the submit button to view the result.

JKCET 2018 Counselling

  • Result Date: The JKCET results will be declared on 2nd July 2018.
  • Counselling Fee: The candidates have to pay Rs. 500 as counselling fee.
  • Merit list: The JKCET merit list will be prepared on the basis of the performance of the candidate. The qualified students will be called for counselling on the basis of the merit list.
  • Documents: The documents required for the JKCET counselling process is as follows Domicile Certificate, 10th Mark sheet & passing certificate of the candidate, 12th Mark sheet & passing certificate of the candidate, Caste certificate of the candidate and Challan copy of the candidate who satisfied the eligibility criteria of JKCET.

  • Scanned Images of Photograph, Signature and Thumb-impression.
  • Photograph size should not exceed 500 KB.
  • Signature and Thumb impression size should not exceed 200 KB.
  • Self-Attested copy of Permanent Resident Certificate, Birth Certificate, Marks Sheet (if applicable) and Category Certificate (if applicable).
  • All the scanned images are in a JPG/JPEG Format.
  • Valid Email Id & mobile Number.

Follow given steps below, to fill JKCET application form:

Step-1 Registration:

Candidates have to go through to the official portal & click on the “Common Entrance Test 2017” link. Now, candidates have to register themselves by clicking the “Register” link. Candidates have to fill all the required details & click on “Submit” button. Note down the application number for further process.

Step-2 Login & Make Payment:

Now, candidates have to login with the ‘Application Number’ & ‘Date of Birth’ & click on “Login” button. First, candidates have to pay the application fee through online or offline mode. This is mandatory.

Step-3 Fill the Application Form:

After the fee payment, candidates have to fill the other details in the application form. Candidates have to fill the Personal & Education details.

Step-4 Upload Scanned Images:

Now, candidates have to upload the scanned documents in a given format. Make sure you have to upload correct images, no changes allowed after the form submission. Click on the “Submit” button. Candidates keep the printout of the JKCET application for future admission procedure.
