  • ABOUT: Jammu AND Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JK CET) is the Entrance Examination Conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) for admissions of Professional Courses such as BDS, BE, BAMS BUMS, MBBS.

  • Grandiosity: JK CET is the only Entrance Exam Conducted by the State Govt of Jammu and Kashmir for the admissions in the Professional Courses.

  • Frequency: It is conducted once in a year for admission in Engineering and Architecture (B.Tech & B.Arch) programmes.These programmes are offered by the various government and private institutions situated in J&K state.

  • Courses: JKCET is held for candidates seeking admission into various professional courses such as MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, Physiotherapy, Diploma Dental Hygiene and B.E. in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) State.

  • Exam level: Jammu & Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET 2018) is a state level entrance exam.

  • Qualification: Candidates should have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized school or institution with 50% aggregate and in case of reserved category then 40%v aggregate

JKCET 2018 Application Form:

JKCET 2018 Exam Pattern:

  • Paper Pattern: The JKCET 2018 Exam Pattern will consist of 60 multiple choice questions per subject and will be asked from subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and Biology.

  • Negative Marking:  One mark will be allotted to the candidates for correct answers and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

JKCET 2018 Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria Summary for JKCET 2018:

  • Eligibility criteria regarding citizenship: The candidates must hold citizenship of Jammu and Kashmir.

  • Eligibility criteria regarding age limit: The candidates should be 17 years on or before December 31st, 2018.

  • Eligibility criteria regarding education: The candidates should have passed their 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from a recognized Board or University of Jammu and Kashmir.

  • Eligibility criteria regarding qualifying marks: Candidates should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in English, Physics, Chemistry or Biology. (40% for the SC/ST candidates).

  • Reservation of seats: Candidates have to upload an attested copy of their reservation category certificate. The seats will be allotted on the basis of merit. Only JKCET candidates will be considered for allotment of seats. An affidavit has to be submitted stating that no other member of the family has got the benefit of this category.

Procedure to submit the JKCET 2018 application form:

  • The candidate has to login to the official website and clicks on the "Common Entrance Test 2018" link.

  • The candidate has to fill in their personal details, educational details, etc.

  • The candidate has to re-check the details and upload a recent passport size photograph and signature.

  • Finally, the candidates have to submit the form and pay the fees.

Payment mode for JKCET 2018 application form:

  • The JKCET application fees can be paid through online and offline mode.

  • The application fees can be paid online using a Debit/Credit card and offline by generation an online Bank Challan.

  • The candidates have to pay INR 1000 as application fees.

  • Date: The JKCET 2018 admit card can be downloaded from the official website 11th April 2018.

  • Details: The JKCET 2018 admit card will have the following details namely Name, Adress, Category, State of residence, photo and signature, roll number, date, time and venue.

  • The admit card is a mandatory document and all the details have to be correct. If there are any corrections it should be rectified before the commencement of the exam.

  • The admit card should be kept until the end of the admission process.

JKCET 2018 Exam Pattern

Exam Pattern Summary for JKCET 2018:

  • Exam mode: The JKCET exam is an offline exam.

  • Number of papers: There shall be two papers for each stream (PCB/PCM).

  • Paper A: This paper consists of questions from Physics and Chemistry. There will be 60 questions from each section.

  • Paper B: This paper consists of questions from Biology for PCB candidates. There will be 60 questions.

  • Paper C: This paper consists of questions from Mathematics for PCM candidates. There will be 60 questions.

  • Number of questions: There will be a total of 180 questions.

  • Duration: The exam will be for a duration of 3 hours.

  • Tye of questions: The JKCET exam will consist of objective type questions.

  • Exam medium: The JKCET exam will be in English.

  • Marking scheme: For every correct answer 1 mark will be awarded and for every wrong answer 0.25 marks will be deducted.

  • Procedure: The JKCET 2018 Result will be declared on the official website. Candidates have to visit the official website of "The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE). Candidates have to fill up their name, roll number and date of birth to access the results. The candidate has to click on the submit button to view the result.

JKCET 2018 Counselling

  • Signature and Thumb impression size should not exceed 200 KB.

Follow given steps below, to fill JKCET application form:

Step-1 Registration:

Candidates have to go through to the official portal & click on the “Common Entrance Test 2017” link. Now, candidates have to register themselves by clicking the “Register” link. Candidates have to fill all the required details & click on “Submit” button. Note down the application number for further process.

Step-2 Login & Make Payment:

Now, candidates have to login with the ‘Application Number’ & ‘Date of Birth’ & click on “Login” button. First, candidates have to pay the application fee through online or offline mode. This is mandatory.

Step-3 Fill the Application Form:

After the fee payment, candidates have to fill the other details in the application form. Candidates have to fill the Personal & Education details.
