  • Karnataka State Entrance Examination (KCET) is conducted for degree level course admission to various institutes in the State of Karnataka.

KCET 2018 News:

  • From 2018, KEA will not conduct the  KCET exam for the aspiring candidates of Medicine and Dental courses, and these students will be allocated seats to the courses based on the NEET scores.
  • Karnataka Government plans single entrance exam for all engineering colleges from 2018.
  • Registration for KCET 2018 begins on 8th January 2018  and late date to submit KCET 2018 admit card is 1st March 2018. 
  • KCET seat allotment results round 2 Declared on the kea.kar.nic.in website.

KCET 2018 Eligibility Criteria:

  • The candidates who wish to answer the exam must have completed their class 12 or Second PUC exam with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • They should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics compulsory along with other subjects as per the requirement of the course they wish to pursue.
  • The Aspiring candidates of the various courses from other states can also take up the exam.

 KCET 2018 Application Form:

  • The candidates who are eligible as per the criteria set by the KEA can apply for the KCET 2018 exam through the online application form available on the official website of KEA.
  • The candidates have to fill in their personal and academic details in the KCET 2018 application form.
  • The application form also requires the candidates to upload the scanned images of the photograph, signature and thumb impression in the specified file size as per KEA.
  • After filling the application form completely, the candidates will have to pay the application fee through either online or offline modes.
  • The Gadinadu and Horanadu Kannadiga students are required to take a Kannada test compulsorily.
  • The candidates are required to access the KCET 2018 official website regularly for latest news, notifications, and updates.

KCET 2018 Admit Card:

  • Once the application forms have been filled by the candidates, their admit cards are made available through the official website.
  • The candidates can download the admit cards by logging into the website with the user id and the password set while filling in the application form.
  • The admit card has the details such as the roll number, exam center, the papers opted to answer etc.
  • Candidates can download their KCET 2018 admit card from 16th April 2018.  

KCET 2018 Result:

  • After the exam is conducted, KEA uploads the answer keys for the papers answered by the candidates.
  • The candidates can also avail the previous year question papers and the respective answer keys on the official website.
  • The results can be accessed by the students through the official website by logging in with their registration number and the date of birth.
  • The KEA releases the brochure containing the colleges to which the students can get admissions through the exam along with the courses offered by them.
  • The results of KCET 2018 will be declared on 28th May 2018.

Mode of KCET 2018  Entrance Exam 

In order to obtain admission to any of the professional courses through KEA, a candidate must appear for the Common Entrance Test as per their choice of courses, which will be conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore (Hereinafter referred to as KEA). The Common Entrance Test- 2018  will be conducted at 54 places, spread over Karnataka. Candidates who have passed or are appearing for Qualifying Examination within Karnataka should write 'CET-2018' in a test center assigned by the KEA within the district in which the candidate has studied 2nd PUC or 12th standard.

KCET 2018 Eligibility

The Eligibility Criteria for KCET 2018 exam:

  • The KCET 2018 form will be available online on the official website
  • The candidate has to pass 12th standard or its equivalent examination 
  • Biology, Chemistry, and Physics subjects should have been studied by the student along with English.
  • Should have secured minimum 50% aggregate
  • Candidates applying for KCET 2018 - Architecture have to appear for NATA examination
  • Candidates belonging appearing from Horanadu and other conflicted Kannada speaking regions in Karnataka should score a minimum 12 out of 50 marks in the Kannada Language Test conducted by KEA.
  • Candidates completed schooling in Kannada medium need not appear for the Kannada Language Test

Candidates applying for KCET 2018 MBBS/BDS:

  • Minimum aggregate should be 50%
  • Should have passed 12th or 2nd PUC or its Equivalent exam

Candidates applying for KCET 2018 Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy, and Yoga

  • No minimum marks required
  • Should have passed 2nd PUC or 12th standard or Equivalent exam

KCET 2018 Application Process

Application Procedure for KCET 2018:

  • The online form for KCET 2018 is available from 8th January 2018 on the official website.
  • Registration of KCET 2018 ends on 1st March 2018. 
  • The candidate has to fill the personal details.
  • Choose the location for the KCET exam center.
  • Create a unique password and a security question.
  • Information once filled, the candidate has to click on the Final Submit button.
  • Signature, Photograph and Thumb Impression has to be uploaded.
  • The KCET application fee should be paid through demand draft.

KCET 2018 Application Form Details

The Application form KCET 2018:

  • KCET 2018 application form will be available from 8th January 2018.
  • Last day to fill the KCET 2018 application form is on 1st March 2018.
  • Candidates should pay the KCET 2018 registration fee within 26th February 2018.
  • Eligible candidates can fill the application form online for KCET 2018.
  • General category candidates should pay INR 650 fee.
  • SC/ST/Category-1 candidates should pay INR 500 fee.
  • PU/12th standard candidates studied in Karnataka should pay INR 750 fee.
  • PU/12th standard candidates studied in another state should pay INR 750 fee.
  • Bank charge of INR 10 should be paid by all candidates.

KCET 2018 Admit Card

KCET 2018 Admit Card:

  • The candidates will be able to download their KCET 2018 admit card from 16th April 2018. 
  • Candidates have to enter the KCET 2018 application number and their date of birth.
  • A printout of the KCET 2018 Admit card has to be taken.
  • The admit card usually consists of the information of the student and is verified with an additional proof of identity before entering the exam hall.
  • The candidate has to carry a hard copy of the admit card of KCET 2018 exam.
  • No, Admit card will be sent through post or by any other means.
  • KCET 2018 Admit card has to be preserved for a later procedure.

KCET 2018 Exam Pattern

The Exam Pattern for KCET exam:

  • KCET 2018 exam will be objective type.
  • Exam will be conducted in two days with four sessions
  • The first day will be for Biology and Mathematics
  • The second day will be Physics and Chemistry
  • No negative marking is not valid in KCET 2018. 
  • The questions will be in Biology, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry
  • Duration of the KCET exam is 80 minutes.
  • The correct answer will carry 1 mark.

KCET 2018 Syllabus

 KCET 2018 Syllabus:

  • KCET covers syllabus from the 11th and 12th standard PUC university topics.
  • The first year PUC physics syllabus consists of Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Motion of System of Particles and Rigid Body, etc.
  • The second-year PUC physics syllabus consists of Electrostatics, Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism, Electromagnetic waves, etc.
  • The first year PUC chemistry syllabus consists of Some Basic Concepts of Chemistry, Structure of Atom, etc.
  • The second-year PUC chemistry syllabus consists of Chemical Kinetics, General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Elements, etc.
  • KCET 2018 mathematics syllabus consists of Algebra, Analytical Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus.

KCET 2018 Results

KCET 2018 Results: 

  • Candidates can check their KCET results on the official website.
  • KCET results will be announced 28th May 2018 onwards.
  • By entering the roll number and birthdate of the candidate, the results will be accessible and can be downloaded.
  • KCET results have to be kept until the end the end of the Admission Procedure.
  • After the KCET results, the cut-off will be released by the KCET.
  • Rank list for colleges will be announced after the KCET 2018 examination.
  • Downloaded result card in mandatory for counselling process.

KCET 2018 Counselling

KCET 2018 Counselling:

  • The KCET counselling procedure will start after the declaration of the results.
  • KCET 2018 counselling begins from 4th June 2018. 
  • The counselling is scheduled as per the rank obtained in the exam for the verification of the documents.
  • The candidate clearing the criteria and cutoff has to participate in the counseling.
  • The candidates who have registered under the various clauses have to provide the necessary documents during the verification round.
