  • About: KCET is abbreviated as Karnataka Common Entrance Test, which KCET 2018 is a state level engineering entrance exam for all the streams of B.E./B.Tech programs.

  • Conducting Authority: KCET 2018 is conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) for various undergraduate programmes offered by government and private institutions of Karnataka.

KCET 2018 News:

  • KCET Date: KCET 2018 online registration begins on 8th January 2018  and the last date to submit KCET 2018 admit card is 1st March 2018.
  • Examination Authority: From 2018, Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will not conduct the  KCET exam for the candidates aspiring for Medicine and Dental courses, and these students will be allocated seats to the courses based on the NEET scores.

  • Single Entrance exam: Karnataka Government plans single entrance exam for all engineering colleges from 2018 and for the latest news, notifications, and updates the candidates are required to access the KCET official website regularly.

KCET 2018 #Eligibility Criteria :

  • Minimum Qualification: The candidates who want to write KCET 2018 examination must have completed their class 12 or Second PUC exam with a minimum of 50% marks.

  • Main Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics are compulsory subjects along with other subjects as per the requirement of the course they wish to pursue.The Aspiring candidates from other states can also take up the exam for the various courses.

KCET 2018 Application Form :

  • Enter details: In the KCET 2018 application form the candidates have to fill in their personal and academic details.

  • Documents: Candidates have to upload the scanned images of the photograph, signature and thumb impression in the specified file size as per KEA.

KCET 2018 Exam pattern : 

  • Mode & Time: KCET2018 is an offline mode examination. The candidates will be having a duration of 2 hours 40 minutes to complete the Examination. 

  • Marking Scheme: KCET 2018 examination consists a total of 180 questions. Each question carries 1 marks and there is no negative marking.

  • Subjects: KCET 2018 includes Physics, Chemistry as common subjects for all and Mathematics or Biology as optional based on their choice towards various Undergraduate programs. 

 KCET 2018 Admit Card:

  • Availability: Admit cards are made available through the official website once the application forms have been filled by the candidates.

  • Filling up: By logging into the KEA website with the user id and the password set while filling in the application form the candidates can download their admit cards. The Roll number, exam centre, the papers opted to answer etc will be in the KCET 2018 Admit card.

  • Date of Registration: Candidates can register for KCET 2018 on 8th January 2018.

KCET 2018 Eligibility

KCET 2018 Eligibility Summary:

  • Eligibility to take KCET 2018 exam: Candidate should clear their 12th standard or its equivalent examination.

  • Subjects: Candidates need to study Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Mathematics subjects for KCET 2018 examination.

  • Aggregate: Candidates should secure a minimum aggregate of 50%.

  • Candidates seeking architecture exam: Candidates opting for KCET 2018 -Architecture should have appeared for NATA.

  • Minimum marks in the Kannada language: Candidates have to score minimum 12 out of 50 marks in the Kannada Language Test conducted by KEA for candidates appearing from Horanadu and other conflicted Kannada speaking regions in Karnataka.

  • Not necessary: Candidates need not appear for the Kannada Language Test if they completed schooling in Kannada medium.

KCET 2018 Exam Pattern Summary:

  • Exam Pattern: Objective type questions will be asked in KCET 2018 exam.

  • Number of days: Examination span for KCET 2018 will be for two days with four sessions in it.
