  • The state of Karnataka organizes a common entrance test for medical, engineering, dental, architecture and pharmacy courses under various institutions in Karnataka.
  • KCET 2018 Exam is a state level examination and is conducted every year in May.
  • In order to obtain admission in undergraduate medical or dental courses through KEA, a candidate must appear in KCET 2018 and fulfill the pre-requisites for the KCET 2018 with the required percentage as per their category.
  • The KEA has planned to not conduct a separate entrance test for MBBS/BDS.The counselling process continues to take place based on the scores of the NEET UG 2018. However, the KCET 2018 will take place for the other UG courses as usual.
  • Candidates can seek admissions through KCET 2018 for bachelors programs in Medical, Dental, Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Unani, Naturopathy, Yoga, Engineering, B.Sc Agriculture, Sericulture, Forestry, Horticulture, B-Pharma, and D-Pharma.
  • Non-Karnataka candidates cannot appear for this examination.

KCET 2018 News:

  • On the KEA official website kea.kar.nic.in KCET seat allotment results round 2 Declared on the.
  • KCET 2018 online registration begins on 8th January 2018  and late date to submit KCET 2018 admit card is 1st March 2018.
  • From 2018, KEA will not conduct the  KCET exam for the aspiring candidates of Medicine and Dental courses, and these students will be allocated seats to the courses based on the NEET scores.
  • Karnataka Government plans single entrance exam for all engineering colleges from 2018. 

KCET 2018 #Eligibility Criteria :

  • The candidates who want to write KCET 2018 examination must have completed their class 12 or Second PUC exam with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics are compulsory subjects along with other subjects as per the requirement of the course they wish to pursue.
  • The Aspiring candidates from other states can also take up the exam for the various courses.

KCET 2018 Application Form :

  • Through the online application form available on the official website of KEA the candidates who are eligible as per the criteria set by the KEA can apply for the exam.
  • In the KCET 2018 application form the candidates have to fill in their personal and academic details.
  • Candidates have to upload the scanned images of the photograph, signature and thumb impression in the specified file size as per KEA.
  • The candidates will have to pay the application fee through either online or offline modes after filing all the details in KCET 2018 application form.
  • The students from Gadinadu and Horanadu Kannadiga are required to take a Kannada test compulsorily.
  • For latest news, notifications, and updates the candidates are required to access the KCET official website regularly.

 KCET 2018 Admit Card:

  • Admit cards are made available through the official website once the application forms have been filled by the candidates.
  • By logging into the KEA website with the user id and the password set while filling in the application form the candidates can download their admit cards.
  • Roll number, exam center, the papers opted to answer etc will be in the KCET 2018 Admit Card.
  • From 16th April 2018 candidates can download KCET 2018 admit card form KEA official website. 

 KCET 2018 Result:

  • On 28th May 2018 KCET 2018 examination results will be announced.
  • KEA uploads the answer keys for the papers answered by the candidates after the KCET 2018 examination got over
  • The candidates can also avail the previous year question papers and the respective answer keys on the official website.
  • In KCET 2018 official website students can access their results by logging in with registration number and the date of birth.
  • The brochure will be released by KAE which contain the colleges to which the students can get admissions through the KCET 2018 exam along with the courses offered.

Mode of KCET 2018  Entrance Exam 

In order to obtain admission to any of the professional courses through KEA, a candidate must appear for the Common Entrance Test as per their choice of courses, which will be conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore (Herein after referred to as KEA). The Common Entrance Test- 2018  will be conducted at 54 places, spread over Karnataka. Candidates who have passed or are appearing for Qualifying Examination within Karnataka should write 'CET-2018' in a test center assigned by the KEA within the district in which the candidate has studied 2nd PUC or 12th standard.

KCET 2018 Important Dates

The Important dates for KCET 2018 exam:

  • Form 8th January 2018 candidates can register to KCET 2018. 
  • KCET 2018 last date to register is 1st March 2018. 
  • Candidates can alter their KCET 2018 application form on 4th May 2018. 
  • February 26 2018 is the last date to pay KCET 2018 fee. 
  • Admit card for KCET 2018 will be available from 16th April 2018.
  • KCET 2018 exams will be from 2nd May 2018 to 4th May 2018. 
  • KCET 2018 results will be announced on 28th May 2018. 

KCET 2018 Eligibility

The Eligibility Criteria for KCET 2018 exam:

  • Candidate should have been cleared their 12th standard or its equivalent examination.
  • Candidates need to study Biology, Chemistry, and Physics subjects for KCET 2018 examination.
  • Minimum 50% aggregate should have secured by candidates.
  • For KCET 2018 - Architecture candidates have to appear for NATA examination.
  • Candidates have scored a minimum 12 out of 50 marks in the Kannada Language Test conducted by KEA for candidates appearing from Horanadu and other conflicted Kannada speaking regions in Karnataka.
  • Candidates need not appear for the Kannada Language Test if they completed schooling in Kannada medium.
  • Minimum aggregate should be 50% is mandatory for MBBS/BDS course.
  • Minimum marks required is 40% in NATA for KCET 2018 B.Arch course.

KCET 2018 Application Process

Application Procedure for KCET:

  • KCET 2018 application form is available from 8th January 2018 on the official website.
  • KCET 2018 registration ends on 1st March 2018. 
  • Fields to an application form are mandatory and it should be correct.
  • Candidates can select required exam center in KCET 2018 application form.
  • Strong password and a security question need to be filled in registration form.
  • After filing all fields candidate has to click on the Final Submit button.
  • Candidates need to upload Signature, Photograph and Thumb Impression.
  • Application fee of KCET 2018 should be paid through demand draft.

KCET 2018 Application Form Details

The Application form KCET 2018:

  • From 8th January 2018 KCET 2018 application form will be available.
  • 1st March 2018 is the last day to fill the KCET 2018 application form online.
  • 26th February 2018 is the last date to pay KCET 2018 fee.
  • Application form can be filled online only by eligible for KCET 2018.
  • INR 650 is the registration fee for General category candidates. 
  • INR 500 is the registration fee for SC/ST/Category-1.
  • INR 750 is the registration fee for PU/12th standard candidates studied in Karnataka.
  • INR 750 is the registration fee for PU/12th standard candidates studied in another state.
  • INR 10 should be paid by all candidates as bank charge.

KCET 2018 Admit Card

KCET 2018 Admit Card:

  • KCET 2018 admit card can be downloaded online from 16th April 2018. 
  • KCET 2018 application number, password, and date of birth are needed to download admit card.
  • KCET 2018 admit card printout has to be taken by candidates.
  • Admit card of KCET 2018  usually consists of the information of the student and is verified with an additional proof of identity before entering the exam hall.
  • A hard copy of the KCET 2018 Admit card is mandatory to enter exam center.
  • KCET 2018  Admit card will be sent through the post or any other mean, it can only be downloaded online.
  • For counselling and admission, KCET 2018 Admit card is required for processing.

KCET 2018 Exam Pattern

The exam pattern for KCET exam:

  • Objective type questions will be asked in KCET 2018 exam.
  • Examination span for KCET 2018 will be for two days with four sessions in it.
  • Biology and Mathematics exams will be conducted on the first day.
  • Physics and Chemistry exams will be conducted on the second day.
  • KCET 2018 exam will not be having negative marking. 
  • Biology, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry on these topic questions will be asked
  • KCET exam will be for 80 minutes duration.
  • In KCET 2018 every correct answer will gain 1 mark.

KCET 2018 Syllabus

 KCET 2018 Syllabus:

  • The 11th and 12th standard syllabus of PUC university topic will be covered in KCET 2018 exam.
  • Algebra, Analytical Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus are the topics covered in KCET 2018 mathematics exam.
  • Topics like Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Motion of System of Particles and Rigid Body, etc from first year PUC physics syllabus.
  • Topics like Electrostatics, Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism, Electromagnetic waves, etc from second-year PUC physics syllabus. 
  • Some Basic Concepts of Chemistry, Structure of Atom, etc from first year PUC chemistry syllabus.
  • Topics like Chemical Kinetics, General Principles, and Processes of Isolation of Elements, etc from second-year PUC chemistry syllabus. 

KCET 2018 Results

KCET 2018 Results: 

  • On the official website, candidates can check their KCET 2018 results.
  • On 28th May 2018 KCET 2018 results will be announced.
  • The results will be accessible and can be downloaded by entering the roll number and birthdate of the candidate.
  • Until the end of the admission procedure, KCET results are required.
  • The cut-off list will be released by the KCET after the KCET result is announced.
  • KCET 2018 examination board will be announced rank list after the result.
  • For counselling process downloaded result card is mandatory.

KCET 2018 Counselling

KCET 2018 Counselling:

  • After the declaration of the results, KCET counselling procedure will start.
  • From 4th June 2018 KCET 2018 counselling process will begin. 
  • As per the rank obtained in the exam, the counselling is scheduled for the verification of the documents.
  • The candidate clearing the criteria and cutoff has to participate in the counseling.
  • The candidates have to provide the necessary documents who have registered under the various clauses during the verification round. 
  • KCET 2018 admit card is mandatory during the counseling procedure.
