About: KEAM, whose full form is Kerala Engineering, Architecture, Medical is a state level entrance exam for candidates who are seeking admission into courses such as Engineering in the colleges in Kerala conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination or CEE Kerala annually.
Authority: The exam is conducted by the CEE (Commissioner of Entrance Examinations) Kerala. The Allotments of this exam are done through a single window system and centralized allotment processes (CAP).
Courses: It acts as a judging medium for eligible candidates to acquire admissions into professional courses in the fields of agriculture, medicine, engineering, and forestry.
Applications: Students compete for around 59,000 seats that are available across all courses in KEAM 2018.
Allotment process: The Allotments of KEAM 2018 exam are done through a single window system and centralized allotment processes (CAP).
Compulsory: It is abbreviated as KEAM 2018 and it is a mandatory exam for all the candidates who would like to join any of the colleges in Kerala for engineering courses.
There have been few changes made in the KEAM 2018. The changes brought in the exam are:
Admissions: Admissions to medical and relating programs will be based on the NEET Result score.
Sessions: For admissions in the architecture program, the NATA 2018 scores obtained will be considered for admissions. Henceforth, KEAM 2018 will now be conducted for Engineering only in 2 sessions.

Qualification: The candidates aspiring to get admission into the engineering colleges in Kerala through KEAM 2018 must have passed the class 12 exam from the HSE board or any other equivalent board.
Minimum marks: Aspiring candidates must have scored at least 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination to satisfy the eligibility criteria to answer KEAM 2018. There is 5% relaxation in minimum marks for the candidates belonging to the reserved category.
Payment structure: The general category candidates have to pay the KEAM 2018 application fee of INR 800, and the candidates under the SC/ST category are required to pay a fee of INR 400. The ST candidates whose family income is less than INR 40,000 and below are exempted from paying the application fee for the exam but will have to submit the income and caste certificate as a proof of the same.
Duration: Candidates will be having a duration of 150 minutes to complete each session in KEAM 2018 examination.
Subjects: For engineering courses, KEAM 2018 Exam pattern consists of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects taught in the 11th and 12th standard. KEAM 2018 examination consists of two papers. Paper 1 will combine physics and chemistry and paper 2 will be mathematics.

Qualification: KEAM 2018 is a competitive exam in which the questions are based on class 10+2 science stream syllabus. KEAM 2018 exam syllabus includes topics from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
Level: The questions related to class 11th & 12th standard syllabus will be asked in KEAM 2018 exam.
Result date: The KEAM Result 2018 will be announced online on 25th May 2018 and result will be available on the official website of the KEAM 2018 examination.
Rank list scheduling: The exam authority uploads the KEAM 2018 rank list according to which the counselling process is scheduled.
Counselling date: After the KEAM 2018 results are announced, the counselling session will be announced on the website.The candidates are required to look out for the counselling schedule and attend the same with the necessary documents. The process of counselling starts from 20th June 2018.
Allotment: The final seat allotment will be done via Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) through Single Window System (SWS). The allotment will be done on the basis of rank secured by the candidate and options filled in.
Reference Books: Candidates get many books available in the market for KEAM 2018. The candidates are required to reference books which cover the topic for KEAM 2018.
Suggestions: Candidate should solve the previous year question papers to get an idea about the difficulty level of the exam.
Sample test paper: Candidates have to Work on Mock/sample test papers it will speed up the time and accuracy of the solving papers of the KEAM examination.
Syllabus: Candidates must go through each and every topic of the Syllabus is important to gather all the topics on your study plans of the KEAM examination.
Candidates should bring Admit card, ballpoint pen (either blue or black ink) and a cardboard/clipboard for the Examination.
Candidates will not be permitted to take items such as pencil, eraser, correction fluid, calculator, logarithm table, electronic gadgets, mobile phones etc, into the examination hall.
Candidate should be present at the examination hall, 30 minutes before the prescribed time for the commencement of the examination.
No candidate will be permitted to enter the examination hall, 30 minutes after the commencement of the examination.
The candidate has to show his/her Admit card to the invigilator and the Board appointed officials as and when required.
Candidate without Admit card or with Admit card having defigured soiled or distorted photographs will not be allowed to sit for the examination.
Candidates will be permitted to leave the examination hall only after completion of the examination.
Scratch papers are provided to all candidate for rough work at the examination hall. Rough work cannot be done any other paper sheet, as nothing will be allowed inside the testing room. On completion of the test, candidates will have to hand back all the scratch paper to the administrator.

Fill the necessary details: Once the form is available, candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria for KEAM 2018 has to fill in details regarding their identity, qualifications and contact details.
Photograph and signature: For KEAM 2018 candidates should make sure that a recent passport-sized photograph and the digital signature is uploaded in the form.
Payment mode: The payment can be made either through online mode or offline through Demand Draft.

Questions: Each paper will have 120 questions. Every correct answer will fetch the candidate 4 marks and there will be negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer.

A state-level examination, the Kerala Engineering, Medical and Engineering Exam is conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination or CEE Kerala annually. It is popularly referred to as KEAM.
It offers scope for eligible candidates to study professional courses that range from agriculture to medical to engineering to even forestry. It is a highly popular examination and finds a huge number of takers every year. A number of seats are available across the many disciplines in the state colleges in Kerala.
During the scrutiny of the application form, if any discrepancy is found in the applicant’s claim or in the certificates such as failure of producing Nativity, defects in certificate produced and more, then a memo while trying to download the admit card will be obtained. All of the defects will be mentioned in the memo.
The necessary documents for correcting the defects should be sent to CEE office on or before the specified date along with the printout of the memo sheet for the KEAM 2017.

The applicants will have to contact the respective branch of SBT and it must be ensured that the bank official collected the cash and the corresponding entry had been updated in “online fee collection portal” meant for CEE. If not, then the applicants should ask the bank official to update the payment status in “online fee collection portal" for the KEAM 2017.
How can I know whether the application has reached the CEE office of the KEAM?
There is an “Application Status” bar on the home page of the online application. When the application is received by the CEE office then the “Received by CEE” status will become in a light green colour background. It will be updated only when the application will be taken for scrutinising and not at the time of receiving. Also, a message will be sent to the registered mobile number regarding the status for KEAM 2017.

During the time of filling up of application, it shows “Session Time Out” and the filled information has been lost. How to avoid this situation in KEAM 2017?
The specified period of time when the user doesn’t work with the application is called session timeout. The applicant will have to log in again to proceed further. To avoid this session time out, the applicants are requested to use “Save” button frequently, available in the application page which will facilitate to save the entered data so far for KEAM 2017.
What documents have to be submitted for – Scouts & Guides, Sports, NCC Cadets for the KEAM 2017?
The applicants will have to submit the following documents for each category:
Scouts & Guides: Copy of Rashtrapathi Guide Certificate signed by the President of India.
Sports Quota: A photocopy of the filled application form has to be submitted to the Secretary, Kerala State Sports Council, Thiruvananthapuram – 695001
NCC Cadets: A photocopy of the filled application form has to be submitted to the Deputy Director General, NCC (Kerala), PB No.2212, Thiruvananthapuram-695010 through the respective NCC Unit Officers where the candidates have been enrolled as cadets.
It is beneficial for all applicants (except SC/ST) to submit their income certificate to avail many advantages such as fee concession/scholarships and more for the KEAM 2017.
The village officer denied me providing the Income and Community certificate in the prescribed format of KEAM. Instead, an Income Certificate in e-district format was given. Are they acceptable?
