About LSAT Exam:

  • LSAT 2018 is an entrance exam conducted by Pearson VUE India on behalf of Law School Admission Council (LSAC) for admissions to different undergraduate and postgraduate law courses such as B.A LL.B., B.Sc LL.B. and B.Com LL.B.
  • The candidate becomes eligible to take admissions to multiple law colleges across India that recognize LSAT – India scores.
  • The LSAT exam is conducted during the month of May in 16 different cities across India.
  • This LSAT entrance exam is conducted to check the aptitude, verbal reasoning skills and subject knowledge of the candidate.
  • LSAT is an exam that tests the reading and verbal reasoning skills of the candidates.
  • The exam is conducted by USA based Law School Admission Council (LSAC).

LSAT 2018 Important Dates

  • The commencement of the online LSAT applications submissions is on 14th September 2017.

LSAT 2018 Eligibility

The LSAT conducting authority has not specified any eligibility criteria as such.  There is no age restriction either. They must fulfil the criteria of the specific college that they are applying to.

The eligibility criteria for admission will be based on the university the candidate wishes to apply to but the candidate must fulfil the basic Eligibility Criteria before applying for LSAT

No candidate will be allowed to write the LSAT Exam without satisfying the basic eligibility.

LSAT 2018 Application Process

Application Process for LSAT 2018:

The aspiring LSAT Applicants must register online by logging onto the official LSAT website and submit their basic details.The applicants need to enter their personal details, education and other details correctly as mentioned in the LSAT form and submit it, to complete the LSAT registration process.

LSAT 2018 Application Form Details

The candidates interested who are has to apply online. Candidates can click on  “Apply” link online on the official LSAT website to begin the application process. The candidates can start applying for LSAT from 14th September 2017.

Pearson VUE India does not accept any other mode of registration for LSAT other than online.

The registration fee for LSAT 2018 is Rs 3800.

LSAT 2018 Admit Card

Once the applicant has filled the LSAT Application Form correctly and registers, the LSAT Admit card becomes available online at the official LSAT website of Pearson VUE India.

Without the LSAT Admit card, an applicant is not allowed to enter the LSAT examination hall. An aspiring LSAT applicant can download the admit card by signing into the official LSAT website. It is advised that the applicant must take a printout of the LSAT Admit Card, preserve it carefully and later present it at the time of the LSAT exam.


LSAT 2018 Exam Pattern

General LSAT Exam Information:

LSAT Exam mode: Offline (pen-paper mode)

    • LSAT Exam duration: 2 hours and 20 minutes.
    • Total no. of questions in the LSAT exam: 100.
    • Each LSAT test section contains 25 marks.
    • There is no negative marking for wrong answers.

    Questions will be asked on the following sections:

    • Analytical reasoning
    • Logical reasoning (Part – 1)
    • Logical reasoning (Part – 2)
    • Reading comprehension
  • The LSAT test sections include Analytical Reasoning and it will have an approximate 24 questions and must finish within 35 minutes.
  • The LSAT test sections include 1st Logical Reasoning and it will have an approximate 24 questions and must finish within 35 minutes.
  • The LSAT test sections include 2nd logical Reasoning and it will have an approximate 24 questions and must finish within 35 minutes.
  • The LSAT test sections include Reading Comprehension and it will have an approximate 24 questions and must finish within 35 minutes.
  • The total test sections are 4 and include 92-100 questions and the time limit is 2 hours and 20 minutes.

LSAT 2018 Syllabus for Analytical Reasoning:

  • These LSAT questions are based on the student’s ability to understand the structure of relationships and to arrive at logical conclusions about these structures.
  • Your reasoning should be accompanied with a provable set of rules and principles that explain the relationships between persons, things, or events.
  • The questions in this LSAT Test section are based on complex analysis that a law student is expected to perform during the course of legal problem-solving.

LSAT 2018 Syllabus for Logical Reasoning:

  • The questions in this LSAT test section are designed to test your ability to analyse, evaluate, and complete arguments in most ordinary and understandable language (layman terms).
  • You will be required to attempt comprehension based passages where you are required to read the passage and answer the questions that follow.
  • These questions are designed to test the student's ability to think critically and in the legal context of affairs.
  • The skills required to score well with this section include drawing well-supported conclusions, reasoning by analogy, determining how additional evidence affects an argument,     applying rules and principles and also identifying flaws in the argument.

LSAT 2018 Syllabus for Reading Comprehension:

  • The questions in this LSAT Test section are designed to examine the student's ability to read, understand, and describe insight complex material identical to the ones asked in law school.

  • The Reading comprehension section comprises of four sets of reading passages.

  • The students are given reading material followed by four to nine questions that judge reading and reasoning abilities.

LSAT 2018 Results

LSAT 2018 Result:


  • The results of the LSAT 2018 exam will be declared on the official LSAT website on 9th June 2018.
  • The applicants can see the LSAT result online by entering details such as LSAT login ID and password.
  • Pearson VUE does not provide a LSAT result rank lists.
  • They pass the results to the LSAT participating colleges. The aspiring LSAT applicants who have scored high marks will be preferred in comparison to the candidates having low marks in the Results given by the LSAT organising body. The participating institutes will then shortlist the LSAT applicants and send those invites for counselling sessions.
  • The name of the finalists will be declared only once the LSAT counselling process gets over.

LSAT 2018 Counselling

LSAT 2018 Counselling:

  • The counselling process and allotment of seats for LSAT India 2018 are decided by various law schools that participate in the law school admission test (LSAT).
  • These law schools receive the LSAT scores and they shortlist the applicants on the basis of the percentile scores.
  • For the LSAT counselling sessions, the applicants must bring original documents and certificates.
  • If the applicants fail to bring the required documents and certificates then their admission gets cancelled.
  • The applicants are not allowed to bring downloaded mark sheets and certificates.
  • Note that the LSAT counselling session is done for applicants who have cleared the LSAT exam.
