Introduction to MHT CET 2018:

  • About MHT CET: Common Entrance Test is an annual entrance exam conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra. Candidates will get an admission into the first year of full-time degree courses in building and innovation, well-being sciences and drug store courses like B.Tech, Pharmacy, and Pharm.D through MHT CET 2018.

  • Application Trend: Over 4 lakh candidates take part in MHT CET every year.

  • Level: MHT CET 2018 is a State Level selection test.
  • Courses Offered: Admissions for the courses offered through MHT CET are Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) and Pharmacy (B.Pharm/Pharm.D.) as well as some allied health sciences programs in the Government aided and private universities/institutions in Maharashtra. Candidates can also apply for MBA through MHT CET 2018.

MHT CET 2018 Latest News:

  • MHT CET 2018 Application: MHT CET 2018 Application form can be submitted without late fee by 25th March 2018. The last date to submit MHT CET 2018 application form with late fee of Rs.500 is 31st March 2018. The registration portal has now been closed.
  • Changes in MHT CET Syllabus: The question paper will now contain questions from Class 11 syllabus. The major change that is brought in the exam pattern for MHT CET 2018 according to recent news reports, is the change in Syllabus. Approx 20% of weightage will be given to XI class syllabus and 80% of weightage will be given to XII class syllabus while setting the question paper. The exam is divided into three papers with each paper containing 100 marks.

  • Registration: MHT CET 2018 Application forms were released on 18th January 2018 and the last date for registration was 31st March 2018.

  • Exam Date: MHT CET 2018 will be conducted on 10th May 2018.

MHT CET 2018 Eligibility Criteria:

  • Nationality: The candidate appearing for MHT CET 2018 should be a citizen of India.

  • Age Criteria: There is no age limit to appear for MHT CET 2018.

  • Minimum Qualification: Candidates have to pass 10+2 to be eligible for MHT CET 2018.

MHT CET 2018 Application Form:

  • Mode of Registration: MHT CET 2018 Application Form has to be filled through online mode only.

  • Issue Date: The Application forms for MHT CET 2018 can be filled from 18th January 2018 and the deadline to apply is 31st March 2018.

MHT CET 2018 Exam Pattern:

  • Question type: The Paper I consists of Multiple Choice Questions (Objective Type) of 2 marks each. Paper II and Paper III questions carry 1 mark each.

  • Duration: The duration of MHT CET 2018 is 180 minutes. Each paper will be allotted 90 Minutes.

MHT CET 2018 Admit Card:

  • Admit Card Date: The admit card will be issued on 24th April 2018. The admit card is equivalent to a hall ticket and can be downloaded on the official website by entering the candidate's login credentials.

  • Hardcopy: The candidate has to keep a hard copy of the admit card as it acts as a hall ticket to attend the MHT CET 2018 exam.

MHT CET 2018 Syllabus:

  • Questions: The questions for MHT CET 2018 will be based on the syllabus of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.

  • Changes in the Syllabus: The MHT CET 2018 syllabus now includes additional new topics from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics from the XI standard.

MHT CET 2018 Important Dates

MHT CET 2018 Important Dates Summary:

  • Application Date: The MHT CET 2018 application forms will be available to all candidates from 18th January 2018.

  • Admit Card Issue Date: All candidates who have successfully completed the application process can log onto the MHT CET 2018 website on 24th April 2018 to download the Admit Card.

  • Exam date: MHT CET 2018 examination will be conducted on 10th May 2018. 

  • Results: The Results will be available on the official website on or before 3rd June 2018 following which the counselling will be held.

MHT CET 2018 Eligibility

MHT CET 2018 Eligibility Criteria Summary

  • Age limit: There is no age limit to write MHT CET 2018 but the candidates appearing for MHT CET 2018 Health Science Degree should be born on or after the 31st of December 2000.
  • Submission of medical certificate: Candidates should be medically fit as per the standards of the respective medical body. A Medical Certificate in this regard should be submitted by the Candidate to be considered eligible.

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed the 10th Final Examination from a school under the Maharashtra State Board as well as the 12th Final examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English as subjects. 

  • Percentage Base: Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. However, the candidates belonging to SC/ST category need to have at least 45% aggregate to be eligible.

MHT CET 2018 Application Process

MHT CET 2018 Application process Summary:

  • Filling up details: The interested Candidates can visit the official website for the MHT CET 2018 examination. During the application process, the Candidates will have to specify his/her qualifications and the last qualifying examination before filling in the other details on the form. Once this has been completed the Candidates will be directed to a page where they have to fill in their Personal Details such as Contact Information, Age of the candidate, etc.

  • Password: The Candidate will also be asked to choose a valid password consisting of an upper case, lower case, alphanumeric and special characters and a security question for logging in.

  • Digital Signature: The Candidates will also be asked to upload a Digital Signature before finishing up the Application Process.

  • Application Form: Candidates are advised to have a thorough check on the provided information in the Application Form since no further changes can be made in the case of errors once the Application Form has been submitted.

MHT CET 2018 Application Form Details

 Application form details summary for MHT CET 2018:

  • Candidates applying for the MHT CET 2018 examination have to note that the Application Fee for the candidates belonging to the Reserved Quota is INR 600/-.Candidates who belong to the general categories should pay INR 800/- (+60 Bank Charges).
  • Note: The candidate shall submit one and only one Application Form. In case, the candidate submits more than one Application Form, the last submitted online application form along with payment will be treated as valid.

  • The payment can be made using a Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking or using an E-Challan which is payable via cash which has to be paid at State Bank of India.

  • All questions are compulsory hence candidate has to answer every question carefully.

MHT CET 2018 Admit Card

Admit Card Summary for MHT CET 2018:

  • Availability: The Admit Card for the candidates who have applied for MHT CET 2018 will be available on the official website on 24th April 2018.

  • ID Proof: The Admit Card is an important document to be carried by the candidate on the day of MHT CET 2018 examination. The candidate should also carry a photo ID proof with the admit card.

  • Candidates who do not have the Admit Card with them on the day of the examination will not be allowed to write the exam. 


MHT CET 2018 Exam Pattern

Exam Pattern Summary for MHT CET 2018:

  • Mode: The Examination of MHT CET 2018 is pen-paper based, the candidates applying for the examination will have to take up the exam at offline centres.

  • Question Paper Division: A total of 50 questions out of 250 will now be from the syllabus of Class 11. 

  • Marks Allotment: Each subject will carry 50 marks, except mathematics, which will carry 100 marks.

  • Papers: The Candidates are tested via three papers according to their stream. 

  • Engineering: Candidates from Engineering will have to select Paper 01 and Paper 02. 

MHT CET 2018 Syllabus

Syllabus Summary for MHT CET 2018

  • Syllabus Pattern: The Syllabus for the MHT CET 2018 examination will be based on the syllabus of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Education.

  • Candidates should have a look at Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and Biology for their respective papers.

  • Exam Pattern: Paper I will include questions on Mathematics, paper II on Physics and Chemistry and paper III on Botany and Zoology.

  • The 50 questions in each subject will be divided into 10 questions from class 11 syllabus and 40 questions from class 12 syllabus.

  • A total of 50 questions out of 250 will now be from the syllabus of Class 11. 

MHT CET 2018 Results

MHT CET 2018 Results Summary:

  • Results date: The Results of the MHT CET 2018 examination will be announced in the month of June 2018 on their official website under the Results Tab.

  • Process: Candidates will have to use their application number, password and security code to access the Result. Candidates are advised to take a hard copy of the Results in pdf format.

  • No personal notification: Candidates should note that the Results will not be emailed or posted to them.

  • Discrepancies: Candidates who have discrepancies with their Results and are willing to verify their marks will have to submit a written request to the concerned authority, along with a Demand Draft of INR 1000/- in favour of the Commissionaire, State CET Cell, Mumbai, payable at Mumbai. 

  • Ultimate decision: If any changes are made, the candidates will be notified. The answer sheet will be sent to the candidate via post after the results have been changed. The decision of the concerned authority will be final and no representations will be entertained after the specified period

MHT CET 2018 Counselling

MHT CET 2018 Counselling Summary:

  • Dates: MHT CET 2018 Counselling process starts from 11th June 2018.
  • Notification: Candidates selected for the Counselling Process will be informed via a notification on their registered E-mail address or Mobile number.

  • Authority: Candidates who have qualified for MHT CET will have to appear for the Counselling process that is conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education and Research for health sciences and pharmacy courses. For Engineering courses, the Board has a separate body.

  • Documents: Candidates appearing for the Counselling Process are advised to get all the necessary documents. The process will commence in the mid of June 2018, depending on the merit rank obtained by the Candidate as well as seat availability, the final allotment takes place. The candidate must mandatorily carry the Score Card and Admit Card for MHT CET 2018 to the Counselling venue as specified by the authority.

Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process:

The admission procedure is same as other private colleges have, they need the 12th pass out with more than 60% marks in PCM. Mode of admission is done through two ways, one is through MHT CET ant the second is through the National level JEE MAIN exam. Typically there is the different cutoff for different branches. The highest cutoff goes for the computer department and the lowest for the mechanical department.

B.Pharm through MHT CET 2017
