  • MH CET 2018 will be directed by the Government of Maharashtra, State Common Entrance Test Cell.
  • It is a state level selection test which is otherwise called MHT CET. Through this exam, hopefuls will get induction into the main year of full-time degree courses in building and innovation, well-being sciences and drug store courses like  B.Tech, B.Pharm and Pharm.D.
  • These courses are offered by the diverse universities and organizations situated in Maharashtra state.

 Courses offered:

  • MHT CET offers admissions to courses in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) and Pharmacy (B.Pharm/Pharm D.) as well as some allied health sciences programs in the Government aided and private universities/institutions in Maharastra.

Application Form

MHT CET Application Form has to be filled through online mode only. The detailed procedure for filling MHT CET application form is given below

  • MHT CET Application process includes 4 Stages and they are Registration, Filling application form, Uploading documents and Payment of fees
  • Candidate need to visit the official website dtemaharashtra.gov.in
  • Start by clicking on 'Apply Online' link displayed on the homepage
  • Register yourself by clicking on 'New Registration' tab
  • Candidate should mention valid email id and contact number since he/she will receive the Registration number and password through them
  • After successful registration candidate has to fill in the application form where he/she will mention personal details and educational details
  • Upload your prescanned photograph and signature as per given specifications
  • And at last, the candidate has to make fee payment, for the reserved candidate the application fee will be of Rs.600/- whereas for others application fee is Rs.800/-. The Detailed structure is given below;

Specification for Uploading Photograph and Signature

  • The picture for application form should be taken against the light/white background. If the photograph is not clear then the application form will be rejected
  • Candidate should take recent passport size photograph
  • Photograph file size should not exceed 50 Kb, crop the image in passport size photograph in paint to reduce the size
  • The candidate himself/herself must sign on the white paper by black ink pen
  • Candidate should scan the signature and should adjust the file size to 59 kb in jpeg format
  • The system will show on the screen that Photograph and Signature have been uploaded.
  • Once the candidate uploads scanned copies of photograph and signature, he/she should proceed to the payment

  Eligibility Criteria

  • The minimum eligibility for the candidate is to pass 10+2 to be eligible for this MHT CET Exam
  • Candidate must be the Indian citizen
  • For Engineering courses candidate should have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) from Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with Mathematics, Physics, English and Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational Subject
  • Candidate must be obtained at least 50% marks and for 'Reserved candidates marks should be less than 45% who is belonging to Maharashtra State Board Only' including #subjects Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational
  • For Pharmacy courses Candidate should pass class 12th with English, Physics Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology or Biotechnology or Technical Vocational subject. Minimum percentage for Reserved candidates is 40% and for other candidates 45%.  There is no age limit for this course
  • For Allied Health Science Courses candidate should be medically fit and should have passed 12th classed with the main subject has Physic, Chemistry, Biology and English

 MHT CET Admit Card

  • MHT CET Admit Card will be available 15 days before the exam on the official website dtemaharashtra.govt.in
  • Click on the admit card link to download it
  • Candidate need to enter the registration number and password
  • Review and print it to carry for examination hall
  • Candidate has to carry Id Proofs along with admit card such as Identity card, PAN Card, Aadhar card, etc 

MHT CET Exam Pattern

 MHT CET Exam consist of 3 papers

  • Paper I consist of Physics and Chemistry each will be of 50 multiple-choice questions
  • Paper II is of Biology and Zoology consist of 50 questions each and Paper III will be 50 questions of Mathematics

  • The paper I and Paper II consist of Multiple type questions (Objective Type) of 1 marks each. And Paper III questions consist of 2 marks each
  • The duration for all three paper is 1 hour and 30 minutes. Paper I and Paper II will be in English, Marathi & Urdu and Paper III will be in English
  • There are no negative marks in MHT CET Exam

MHT CET 2018 Important Dates

  • The Applications for MHT CET 2018 will be available for all candidates from the February/March 2018.
  • Candidates have to visit the official website for MHT CET 2018 to start their Application Process.
  • The applicants can fill out the required details in the application form and pay the fee until the end of March 2018.
  • All successfully applied candidates can log onto the MHT CET 2018 website on the 4th week of April 2018 to download the Admit Card.
  • The MHT CET examination will commence in the month of May 2018
  • Results will be available on the official website by the 1st or 2nd week of June 2018 following which the counselling will be held.

MHT CET 2018 Eligibility

The Eligibility Criteria for the MHT CET 2018 depends on the Degree the Candidate is appearing for as follows:

  • Candidates appearing for MHT CET 2018 Health Science Degree, should be born on or after the 31st of December 2000 to satisfy the Age Eligibility Criteria. Candidates should be medically fit as per the standards of the respective medical body. A Medical Certificate in this regard should be submitted for the Candidate to be considered eligible. The applying candidate should have passed the 10th Final Examination from a school under the Maharashtra State Board as well as the 12th Final examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English as subjects.
  • Candidates appearing for MHT CET 2018 Engineering and Pharmacy, must be citizens of India and are required to have passed the 10th Final Examination from a school under the Maharashtra State Board as well as 12th Exam from any board. Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, however, candidates belonging to the SC/ST category of the society need to have at least 45% aggregate to be eligible. However, there is no age limit for candidates applying. 

MHT CET 2018 Application Process

  • The interested Candidates can visit the official website for the MHT CET 2018 examination. During the application process, the Candidates will have to specify his/her qualifications and the last qualifying examination before filling in the other details on the form. Once this has been completed the Candidates will be directed to a page where they have to fill in their Personal Details such as Contact Information, Age of the candidate, etc.
  • The Candidate will also be asked to choose a valid password consisting of an upper case, lower case, alphanumeric and special characters and a security question for logging in. The Candidates will also be asked to upload a Digital Signature before finishing up the Application Process.
  • Candidates are advised to have a thorough check on the provided information in the Application Form since no further changes can be made in the case of errors once the Application Form has been submitted.
  • The final step of the Application Process is the payment for the application which can be done using a Credit  Card / Debit Card / Net Banking or using an E-Challan payable via cash at a State Bank Of India Branch near you.
  • Once this has been completed the Candidates will have to stay updated on the website for the availability of the Admit Card.

MHT CET 2018 Application Form Details

Candidates applying for the MHT CET 2018 examination have to note that the examination fees for the candidates belonging to the Reserved Quota is INR 600/- however Candidates who belong to the below-mentioned categories are applicable of INR 800 (+60 Bank Charges).

The payment can be made using a Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking or using an E-Challan which is payable via cash.

  • General 
  • Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries.
  • Outside Maharashtra Resident candidates.

MHT CET 2018 Admit Card

The Admit Card for the Candidates who have applied for the MHT CET 2018 examination will be available on the official site of MHT CET in April 2018. The Admit Card is an important document to be carried by the Candidate on the day of MHT CET 2018 examination. Candidates who do not have the Admit Card with them on the day of the Examination will not be allowed to write the exam. 

Candidates should use their Date of Birth provided during the Application Process and the Password to log in and download the Admit Card. Candidates are advised to preserve the Admit Card for future references. Candidates should note that the Admit Card will not be sent via post or E-mail. Once downloaded Candidates are advised to check all the details mentioned on the Admit Card, to make sure no errors have been made. 

Any discrepancies in the admit card should be reported to the exam conducting body immediately. A downloaded copy of the Admit Card will be considered valid. The Admit Card should not be Tampered with, as this will result in the Candidate getting Barred from writing the MHT CET 2018 Examination.

MHT CET 2018 Exam Pattern

  • The Examination of MHT CET 2018 is pen-paper based, the candidates applying for the examination will have to take up the exam at offline centres.
  • The Candidates are tested via three papers according to their stream. Candidates from Health Science will have to pick Paper 01 and Paper 02 where the former consists of Physics and Chemistry for a total of 100 marks (50+50) whereas the latter consists of Biology for a total of 100 marks as well.
  • Candidates from Engineering will have to select Paper 01 and Paper 03 where the latter consists of Mathematics for a total of 50 marks.
  • The Examination Paper will be in OMR format and Candidates will have to complete the same in 1.5 hours. Each question carries 1 mark for a right answer except for Mathematics wherein each right answer will fetch 2 marks, there are no negative markings in the MHT CET 2018 Examination Paper.
  • All papers will be available in Marathi, Urdu apart from English. Candidates are allowed to use black ball pointed pens only.

MHT CET 2018 Syllabus

  • The Syllabus for the MHT CET 2018 examination will consist of all the key concepts that the Candidates have already covered in the HSC examination of the Maharashtra Board.
  • Candidates should have a look at Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for their respective papers.

MHT CET 2018 Results

 

  • The Results for the MHT CET 2018 examination will be announced in the month of June 2018 on their official website under the Results Tab. Candidates will have to use their application number, password and security code to access the Result. Candidates are advised to take a hard copy of the Results in .pdf format.
  • Candidates should note that the Results will not be emailed or posted to them.
  • Candidates who have discrepancies with their Results and are willing to verify their marks will have to submit a written request to the concerned authority, along with a Demand Draft of INR 1000/- in favour of the Commissionaire, State CET Cell, Mumbai, payable at Mumbai. 
  • If any changes are made, the candidates will be notified. The answer sheet will be sent to the candidate via post after the results have been changed. The decision of the concerned authority will be final and no representations will be entertained after the specified period

MHT CET 2018 Counselling

  • Candidates selected for the Counselling Process will be informed via a notification on their registered E-mail address or Mobile number.
  • Candidates who have qualified for MHT CET will have to appear for the Counselling process that is conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education and Research for health sciences and pharmacy courses. For Engineering courses, the Board has a separate body. Candidates appearing for the Counselling Process are advised to get all the necessary documents.
  • The process will commence in the mid of June 2018, depending on the merit rank obtained by the Candidate as well as seat availability, the final allotment takes place. The candidate must mandatorily carry the Score Card and Admit Card for MHT CET 2018 to the Counselling venue as specified by the authority.

The access to the results of MHT CET:

  • The result for MHCET will be announced in the month of June. The same will be available at (www.mhcet.co.in) under Result tab.
  • The candidates will have to use their application number, password and security code to access the result.
  • A PDF version and hard copy of result needs to be saved by the candidate for future use and reference.
  • No mark sheet copy will be separately emailed or posted to any candidate.

Verification of the results:

  • Candidates who want to verify their marks will have to submit a written request to the concerned authority. The written request along with the demand draft of 1000 INR should be submitted within 4 days of the declaration of the results. The demand draft should be in favour of the commissionaire, State CET cell, Mumbai, payable at Mumbai.
  • If any changes are made, the candidates will be notified. The answer sheet will be sent to the candidate via post after the results have been changed. The decision of the concerned authority will be final and no representations will be entertained after the specified period.

The cut-off marks in CET is the minimum score by the candidate, which makes him/her eligible to seek the Admission to MBA/MMS course in the State of Maharashtra.

The cut-off mark in MAH MBA/MMS CET is 30 marks out of 200. 

In case of All India CAT [CAT] the Cut-off is the percentile in these CETs equivalent to percentile corresponding to 30 marks in MAH MBA/MMS CET.
