About: Manipal University Online Entrance Test is a University level entrance test conducted by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education for all the eligible candidates. Manipal University (MU OET) has now changed the name to Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE OET).
MAHE: Manipal University was established by T.M.A. Pai which was called as Kasturba Medical college for five years. In 1979 after the death of T.M.A. Pai, Ramdas Pi took over the management in 1979. The university is organized into 19 colleges and 7 departments.
Grandiosity: Manipal University is one of the largest technical universities not only in India but perhaps in Asia also. Because of its gigantic size and the number of colleges affiliated to it and geographic dispersion.
Courses: Manipal Academy of Higher Education offers 218 programs in 19 disciplines. MAHE offers programmes in the areas of Allied Health, Architecture, Basic & Advanced Sciences, Communication, Dentistry, Engineering, European Studies & Foreign Languages, Geopolitics & International Relations, Hospitality, Humanities, Information Sciences, Life Sciences, Management (MBA), Medicine, Natural Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, and Regenerative Medicine.

Marking scheme: B.Tech, M.Sc and M.Tech- Correct answer: (+)4 marks. Incorrect answer: (-)1 mark; Other courses- Correct answer: (+)1 mark. No negative marking.

Counselling date: The MU OET 2018 counselling procedure will start from 1st June 2018.
Cautious: The absence of the candidate or representative at the indicated reporting time and date for counselling will result in the instantaneous forfeiture of the candidate to claim a seat.

Exam slot booking: The exam slot booking is scheduled to be in the month of March 2018.
Admit card date: The Admit card for the MU OET 2018 is available from 12th April 2018.

Counselling date: The online registration for counselling of round-1 will be in the 1st week of June 2018. The results for the counselling of round-1 will be in the 2nd week of June 2018.
Educational Qualification: The applicants eligible to write the exam should have passed the 12th class qualifying examination from a recognized board.
Minimum marks: Minimum 50% marks must have been obtained in these exams to be eligible to write MU OET 2018.
Compulsory Subjects: According to Manipal University eligibility criteria, the applicants must have studied Physics, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects in class 12th.
Optional Subjects: Chemistry, biology or biotechnology are the optional ones to be eligible to write MU OET 2018.

Five steps: There are five steps involved in applying for MU OET 2018. The five steps are filling personal information, contact details, qualification details, programs and fee payment, and confirmation.

Online Mode: Candidates can apply via online mode only for MU OET. There are 5 steps involved in filling the application form.The eligible candidate has to fill in their personal information, contact details, qualification details, programs and fee payment, and confirmation.
Steps in Application form: There are 5 steps to be followed while filling the MU OET 2018 Application form.
Online Mode Fee payment: If the eligible candidates want to submit their application fee to write MU OET via online mode, they have to choose Credit/ Debit card or Net Banking. Candidates have to pay Rs. 2000.
Offline Mode Fee Payment: If candidates want to submit their application fee to write MU OET via offline mode, they have to choose Demand Draft option. Candidates have to make the payment via the demand draft, in the favour of “Manipal University” payable at Manipal. Candidates need to pay Rs.2000.
Mode: The eligible students can get their admit card online on the website used to register for the exam. The eligible student has to log in the website using the email address and password provided. The student eligible to write MU OET 2018 will get their admit card in April 2018.
E-Hall ticket number: The admit card has your e-hall ticket number, the course you have applied for, the address of the test centre, and slot of your test.
Download: You can download your e-hall ticket/ admit card for MU OET 2018 from the official website of Manipal University. For that you have to specify your application form number and online test booking password.
The Process to download: Go to the official website for MU OET. Click on the link provided to download the admit card. Fill in your ID and password on the page that opens. Click on submit to view the admit card.

For M.Tech, M.Sc, and B.Tech: Each question is of four marks. Each correct answer will fetch you four marks; Each wrong answer will result in a one-mark deduction; no marks for unanswered questions.
Other courses: Each question is of one mark. Each correct answer will fetch you one mark; wrong answers or unanswered questions will get no marks.
Exam Pattern for B.Tech Course for MU OET 2018: Physics will consist of 50 questions, Chemistry will consist of 50 questions, Mathematics will consist of 70 questions. English and General Aptitude will consist of 30 questions. And a total of 200 questions.
Exam Pattern for BBA Course for MU OET 2018: Numeracy subject includes English which consists of 20 questions. Case study subject will consist of 15 questions in the specialized coursed. And a total of 4 subjects and 100 questions.
Exam Pattern for B.Tech (Lateral) for MU OET 2018: Mathematics will consist of 50 questions in the specialized coursed exam for MU OET 2018. Physics will consist of 10 questions. Chemistry subject will consist of 10 questions. Communication skills in English subject will consist of 20 questions. And a total of 4 subjects and 90 questions.
Exam Pattern for MCA course for MU OET 2018: Mental Ability subject will have 25 questions in the specialized coursed exam for MU OET 2018. Basic Mathematics subject will have 10 questions. General English subject will have 25 questions. Computer Aptitude subject will have 40 questions. And a total of 4 subjects and 100 questions.
Syllabus: The test papers in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and General English have questions based on 10+2 syllabus followed by major 10+2 Boards/Universities.
Physics: Physics includes topics like Measurement, Kinematics, Force and Motion, Work and Energy, Rotational Motion and Rigid Body, Gravitation, Dynamics etc.
Chemistry: Section- A (Physical Chemistry): Basic concepts in Chemistry, States of matter, Atomic structure, Chemical bonding and molecular structure etc. Section - B (Inorganic Chemistry): Periodic properties, Principles and processes of metal extractions, Hydrogen, S-block elements, P-block elements etc. Section – C (Organic Chemistry): Purification and characterization of organic compounds, Basic principles of organic chemistry, Hydrocarbons, Organic compounds containing halogens, Organic compounds containing oxygen, Organic compounds containing Nitrogen etc.
Mathematics: Mathematics 1: Partial fractions, Logarithms, Mathematical induction, Summation of finite series, Theory of equations, Binomial theorem, Mathematical logic, Analytical geometry etc. Mathematics 2: Elements of number theory, Vectors, Matrices and Determinants, Analytical Geometry etc. Conic section: Parabola, Ellipse, Hyperbola, Complex numbers, Differentiation, Applications of Derivations, Inverse Trigonometry functions etc.
Biology and Botany: Biology will include topics like Biosystematics, Cell Biology, Chromosomes, Cell Reproduction, Introduction to Biology, Biomolecules, Origin of life and organic evolution, Molecular Biology etc. Botany will include topics like Diversity of life on earth, Viruses, Bacteria, Cyanobacteria, Kingdom Protista, Kingdom Mycota, Kingdom Metaphyta, Pteridophyta etc.
General English: This paper includes questions on general English like spotting errors, sentence correction, and formation, vocabulary etc.
Result date: MU OET 2018 Results will be announced on 24th May 2018.
Declaration: The MU OET 2018 Result will be declared on the official website of the university. The results will be released by the Manipal University.
Online mode: The students can check their results only in online mode. The result will be announced in the last week of May 2018.
Process: The eligible applicants should visit the Official Website of Manipal University. Enter the Application Number. Click on the “Submit” button. View and download the result displayed on the screen.
Counselling Date: The MU OET 2018 counselling procedure will start from the 1st June 2018.
Venue Selection: Applicants are required to select the venue at the time of exam slot booking.
Counselling Schedule: Counselling schedule will be posted on the official website of the university. Applicants are required to be present at the time of counselling. Applicants will be called according to their ranks and asked to choose a seat from available options.
Documents Required: MU OET Admit Card, MU OET Score Card, 10th or equivalent exam mark sheet, 12th or equivalent exam mark sheet, Character certificate, Category certificate (if required)
