Application Process for NEET 2018

  • Application: NEET 2018 application form will be available on the official website.

  • Application date: Candidates can apply online from 31st October 2017 to 27th November 2017.

  • Offline applications are NOT entertained.

  • A modern method has been used to develop the application of NEET in which candidate will be guided on each step that what information is to be given. Following the online instructions, application could be submitted correctly,

  • The candidates who submit false information in the application form for NEET-UG those particular candidate's application form will not be considered and such candidates will be debarred from appearing for the NEET 2018 conducted by CBSE.

  • The candidates who submit an incomplete application form for NEET 2018 those particular candidate's application form will not be considered and will be rejected. NEET 2018 examination fee will not be refunded in such a case.

  • The application form NEET once submitted cannot be withdrawn under any circumstances.


 Following list is advised to be prepared by a candidate before starting the process of an application form. 



  • Name of Father/Mother and Candidate with correct spellings.

  • Aadhaar Number/ Aadhaar Enrolment Number/Registration Number Issued by CBSE Facilitation Number/ Passport number/Ration Card Number/Bank Account Number/ Other valid Govt. Identity card Number.

  • Date of Birth.

  • Address, Mobile Number, Email ID must be kept ready

  • Candidates should have scanned images of their latest photograph (size of 10KB to 100KB) and signature (size of 3KB to 20KB) in JPG format only.

  • The information to be filled in the NEET 2018 online application should be accurate and faultless.

  • The candidates have to provide Aadhar/Identity details as given below:

  • The NEET 2018 application registration number should be noted for future reference which will be generated after completion of step 1 of the application form.

  • Are you the only child of your parents (If you are the only child of your parents and there are no other siblings, then write 1 in this column otherwise write 2 in the column)

  • Percentage of marks/Grade in class X/ Equivalent & XII/ Equivalent

  • Type of Institution of class XII/ Equivalent

  • Belonging to Rural/Urban area

 The method of Submission of NEET 2018 Application Form:

  • To find the application for NEET 2018, the candidate must log on to www.cbseneet.nic.in

  • Go to the link "Apply Online" and open the same.

Further, for purpose of simpleness, Submission of the application form can be divided into four easy steps:

  • Step 1: Fill in the online application form and note down the registration number.

  • Step 2: Upload images of candidate's photograph and signature.

  • Step 3: Make payment of the fee as per available options.

  • Step 4: Take print out of the Confirmation page(s) of online application form and preserve it for future reference along with the copy.

Step 1: 

  • Open the link “Proceed to apply online NEET (UG)-2017”.

  • Follow the required information to be filled in respective dialogue boxes, and should be done carefully making sure no mistakes are made.

  • Candidates from foreign countries will fill-up the following details

  • Further, all(Indian Residents, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), overseas citizens(OCIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) and Foreign Nationals) candidates should fill the respective details, making sure all the submitted information is accurate and faultless.

  • Finishing filling the above page.

  • Click "Next" to continue, the page will be redirected to the next page of application form where the candidate should continue submitting the information as per the requirements of the application form.(as shown below)

  • Click "Back" to the previous page, the website will take the applicant back to the previous page of the application form. For the purpose of filling the incomplete fields and also to correct the errors if any was made by the applicant.

  • At any time during this step, the candidates may keep on saving the data filled in the application form by clicking" Save as Draft".

  • After filling up all the dialogue box without any mistake, reviewing the information to be submitted is must and this can be done by clicking on "Preview and Submit" option. 

  • It is advised for a candidate to go through the Preview with extra care in mind if any mistakes were done, it can be rechecked and corrected.

  • Once the application is submitted no changes can be made later. And if the submitted details turn out to be (wrong/false) details, such applications will be rejected or won't be eligible for admission in any of the medical college associated with NEET-UG 2018. 

  • After reviewing the application form, if all the details are correct. The candidate can submit the application by clicking on "Final Submit".

  • After submitting all correct details, Confirm the final submission by clicking on "Yes, please do".

  • After this step, the Provisional Registration Number of the candidate will be generated and displayed on the screen.
  • The Provisional Registration Number will also be sent to the registered E-mail Id and mobile phone of the candidate.

  • At this stage, the candidate will be given an option to continue filling-up his application by clicking on the link “Continue” or completing the form “Later”.

  • By Clicking on the “continue” the candidate may submit the required information and complete the step-1 of the application form.

  • If “Later” is selected the candidate can log-in to his/her/others account at any time before the last date and complete his application form.

 


 

Step 2:

  • Finishing step 1, The candidate will automatically be redirected to the second link of the application form for uploading the photograph and signature of the candidate.

Candidates are supposed to use images of particular specifications as mentioned below:

Photograph of the candidate

  • Latest photograph (size of 10KB to 100KB) of the candidate, in JPG format only.

  • With white background only.

  • Clearly indicating the name of the candidate along with the date of taking the photograph.

  • Spectacles are allowed if being used regularly.

  • Polaroid and computer generated photos are not acceptable.

  • The photograph should not have cap or goggles.

  • Applications not complying with these instructions are liable to be rejected.

  • Candidates may please note that if it is found that photograph affixed is fabricated i.e. de-shaped or seems to be manipulated or digitally edited, the application form of such candidate will be rejected and the same would be considered as using unfair means practices and candidate would accordingly be dealt with as per the rules of unfair means.

[Note: 

  • It is mandatory for the candidate to bring his/her postcard size (4”X6”) photograph indicating clearly the name of the candidate along with the date of taking the photograph duly pasted, during the conduct of NEET Examination.

  • It is advised for the candidate to carry extra photographs to the exam.]

Signature of the candidate

  • Signature (size of 3KB to 20KB) in JPG format only.

  • The candidates are required to upload their signature in the appropriate box given in the online Application Form in running handwriting.

  • Writing full name in the Box in Capital letters would not be accepted as signature and the Application Form would liable to be rejected.

  • Click on "upload" and finish step 2. Make sure the applicant's images are following the specifications.   

 

Step 3:

  • Next, the step is to pay the exam fees.

  • Candidate can review the application form by clicking on"Review Application".

  • If the candidates feel all the submitted details in the application form is true and correct, the candidate can proceed to make payment by clicking on "any of following the mode of payment option as shown below".

Payment through any Debit/Credit Card using online gateway payment facility: 

  • If a candidate decides to pay the exam fee through Debit/Credit Card, it is advised to check the validity of the Card and keep it ready while logging on to the website for submitting the application form.

  • The online application website will guide the individual to pay the exam fee.

  • Then kindly follow the instructions as communicated during the online processing.

  • Applicant must Carefully go through the "terms and conditions" and finish the payment.

Payment through Net Banking/UPI

  • If a candidate decides to pay the exam fee through Net Banking/UPI,

  • The online application website will guide the individual to pay the exam fee.

  • Then kindly follow the instructions as communicated during the online processing.

Payment through e-wallet of various service providers.

  • If a candidate decides to pay exam the fee through e-wallet,

  • The online application website will guide the individual to pay the exam fee.

  • Then kindly follow the instructions as communicated during the online processing.

After making the payment options confirm the payment mode by clicking on "yes, Please do"

Instruction to be noted by applicant while paying the application fee

  • Applicant must Carefully go through the "terms and conditions" and finish the payment.

  • After Print the Confirmation Page (Step-4) of online application after submission Step-3

  • In the case of debit/credit card/ Net Banking/UPI/e-wallet, if an applicant fails to complete Step-2 of online application and a further payment of the exam fee as per Step-3, final Submission of online application will remain incomplete and unsuccessful in all modes of payment of the fee.

  • After submission of the application form, it cannot be withdrawn. Claims for refund of application fee will not be entertained.


 Step 4:

  • Follow the instructions and remit the fee. After successful remittance fee, the program will take the applicant to step-4 to take print out of Confirmation Page.

  • Follow the instructions to take the print out of Confirmation Page.

  • Applicants are advised to preserve the confirmation page and proof of payment of fee safely for any future reference.

Details Regarding Reservation of Seats for NEET under the 15% All India Quota:

  • OBC-Non creamy layer- 27%

  • PH category- 3% (on horizontal basis)

  • ST category- 7.5%

  • SC category- 15%


Details Regarding Reservation of Seats for NEET:

In State Medical Colleges/Universities/Institutions/AFMC/Private Medical Colleges (other than the 15% All India Quota):

  • Admissions for the State Quota seats depends on the reservation policy and the eligibility criteria pertaining to a particular State/Union Territory.

  • Admissions to Private Medical Colleges for the MBBS/BDS courses depends on policies framed by the Government of India/State/Union Territory.

  • Admissions to AFMC, Pune are subjected to the policies and norms framed by the Directorate General of Armed Forces Medical Services, Ministry of Defence and Government of India.

  • Candidates who are seeking admission in AFMC and have applied for NEET (UG) must also apply on the official website of AFMC.
