NEET PG 2018 Eligibility Criteria

  • Age Limit: whoever applying for the NEET PG 2018 examination there is no age limit required in the eligibility criteria.

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed MBBS degree or provisional MBBS and only Indian National can apply for the NEET PG 2018 examination.

  • Exceptional cases:  If the candidate has passed MBBS from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Jammu & Kashmir are Not eligible for All India 50% Quota seats.


NEET PG 2018 exam Eligibility:

  • Eligibility criteria in Minimum Aspects: Candidates must possess MBBS degree or Provisional MBBS pass certificate as per the Indian Medical council act 1956. And also the candidate should finish their Internship before 31st March 2018.
  • Nominated candidates by Government: The candidates who were nominated by the Government of India (under central pool seats) to do MBBS from Medical Colleges in Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir shall be eligible to apply for admission to the NEET-PG 2018.

  • Ineligible Candidates: In case if any candidates found to be ineligible at any stage of NEET PG 2018 will not be permitted to appear in the examination and/or counselling. In an unlikely event of any ineligible candidate appearing and/or being successful in the NEET PG 2018, the results/candidature of such candidate shall be canceled and/or are deemed to be canceled.

  • Registration of NEET: Registration and/or appearance in NEET PG 2018 do not confer any automatic rights upon the candidate for admission at medical Institute/College for MD/MS or PG Diploma Course.

  • Quota Seats: If the candidate has studied/passed MBBS from the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible for All India 50% Quota seats for NEET PG 2018.

  • Date of NEET Internship: The dates indicated by candidates with regard to 12 months Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship in the Application Form i.e. starting date and completion date shall be treated as final. Candidates will be required to submit the original Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship completion certificate at the time of admission in allotted Medical College/Institute.

  • NEET PG 2018 Cutoff: The cut-off dates for the recognition of the Medical Colleges, from where the candidates have passed their MBBS Degree Course and completed compulsory rotatory Internship for the year will be as prescribed by the Medical Council of India (MCI). The Colleges recognized after the cut-off date prescribed by the MCI will not be considered for NEET PG 2018.

  • OCI: Indian citizens or overseas citizens of India who have obtained their Primary Medical Qualifications from Medical Colleges outside India should have qualified the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (Screening Test) which is conducted by National Board of Examinations to be eligible for the NEET PG 2018.

  • Medical State Council: Registration with Medical Council of India (MCI)/State Medical Council (SMC) is necessary and its documentary proof should be furnished by the candidates on the day of examination and at the time of counselling and admission for the NEET PG 2018.


NEET PG 2018 Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Medical Graduates:

If you are an Indian citizen or overseas citizen who has got a primary medical qualification from the medical college outside India then,

  • You need to qualify Foreign Medical Graduates (FMGE).

  • You should have registration with Medical Council of India (MCI)/ State Medical Council (SMC).

  • Your internship should complete by March 31, 2018.


Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Nationals in NEET PG 2018:

  • Foreign nationals need not have temporary registration with Medical Council of India (MCI) at time of appearing for NEET PG 2018. MCI may grant temporary registration for the duration of PG to allow them to study PG on payment of prescribed fee.

  • This is subject to candidate having appropriate registration with relevant authority in the country of graduate study.
