PESSAT is the first step in the PES University admissions process and should be taken by all students who are applying for PES University programs
PESSAT is an Online exam testing candidates in four main areas according to the stream they have chosen. Candidates have to first register themselves by filling in details such as course/stream of interest, gender, date of birth, email ID on the PES website.
Aspirants will be shortlisted for admissions in PES University on the basis of their test score as well as their performance in the personal interview.
PESSAT 2018 engineering admissions: The test is conducted at various test centres located all over the country in May 2018. Application forms are now available on the university website from 21st September 2017.
PESSAT 2018 for other courses: The test is conducted only at PES University campus in Bangalore. The test will be held between 1st May 2018 and 15th May 2018. Application forms are now available on the university website from 21st September 2017.
NOTE: PESSAT 2018 would not be applicable for admissions at PESIT South Campus, PESIMSR & PES Central Campus.
PES Scholarship Aptitude Test [PESSAT]
Undergraduate and Postgraduate
Candidates can secure admission into programs such as;
Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech),
Bachelor of Design (B.Des),
Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA),
Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch)
BBA in Hotel and Event Management,
Master of Technology (M.Tech),
Master of Business Administration (MBA) and
Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programs for the academic session of 2018 by clearing PESSAT 2018.
Application Fee: The fee for the PESSAT exam is Rs. 1050/- which can either be paid online through a debit/credit card or by issuing a demand draft in favour of 'PES University General Fund' which is payable in Bangalore.

Exam mode: The exam is an online exam for all courses except B.Des where it is a pen and paper-based exam.
Duration: B.Tech: 3 Hours
Duration for Other courses: 2 Hours
Number of Questions: B.Tech: 180 questions
Number of Questions for Other courses: 120 questions
Interview: Candidates will have a short interview on the day of the exam.
Availability: The availability of admit card for PESSAT 2018 exam will be from 21st April 2018.

Results can be checked online on the PES website by entering the candidate's register number and date of birth. Candidates are shortlisted based on their exam scores and the performance in the interview.
B.Tech: The results will be announced on 28th May 2018.
Other Courses: The results of other courses will be declared after a week from the date of examination.
The important dates for the B.Tech course are as follows: -
PESSAT registration date: The PESSAT registration process will begin on September 21st, 2017 and will end on April 12th, 2017 for the students from outside Bengaluru while the last date to register for the students in Bengaluru is April 17th, 2017.
PESSAT slot booking: The PESSAT slot booking will begin on April 21st, 2017.
PESSAT exam date: The PESSAT exam will be held in the first week of May 2017.
Application fee: The application fee can be paid online or offline. The application fee can be paid using debit card/credit card/net banking. For the online mode of payment, candidates are required to obtain a Demand draft from any nationalized bank.
PART 2: The candidate is required to fill details such as category, mother tongue, citizenship, address etc. Once this is done, click on "Continue" to upload your photograph from the required path.
PART 3: You can choose to upload the photograph later by entering the registration number, date of birth and gender details. Click on the "Confirm" button to move to the payment gateway.
Admit card Date: The PESSAT admit card will be available in the month of April 2017 for the B.Tech program while the admit card will be available in the month of January for the other programs.
Procedure: The candidates have to visit the official website to download the admit card.
Details: The admit card has information about the candidate's name, photograph, roll number and signature of the candidate, etc.
Mode: The test will be conducted in online mode.
Subjects: The test will include the following subjects namely Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English.
The Number of questions: There will be 60 questions from Physics and Mathematics, 20 questions from English and 40 questions from Chemistry.
Type of questions: All the questions will be objective type questions.
The topics are as follows:
English Comprehensive: The topics are Analogies & Syllogisms, Antonyms, Contextual usage, Fill In the Blanks, etc.
Analytical and Logical Reasoning: The topics are Arrangement, Blood Relations, Calendars, Critical Reasoning, etc.
Quantitative Reasoning: The topics are Arithmetic, Geometry, Number system, Percentages, etc.
General Knowledge: The candidates should read the news on a regular basis.
PESSAT result date: The PESSAT result will be declared by the last week of May 2017.
Procedure: The candidates have to visit the official website and enter their registration number and date of birth. The candidates will be able to see their scores and rank obtained.
Counselling date: The PESSAT counselling process will be conducted in the month of June 2017. The second round will be held in the month of July 2017.
Counselling rounds: The PESSAT counselling process will consist of two rounds.
The Demand Draft should be paid in favour of "PES University General Fund” payable at Bangalore.
