Eligibility Criteria for REAP 2018

Candidates appearing for REAP 2018 can get admission in Government aided colleges/ universities in Rajasthan. The seat allotment for candidates will be done in two ways: 

  • Based on the JEE Main Score
  • Based on the 12th-grade marks

Note: Candidates applying based on their JEE Main score is given higher preference over other candidates.

Eligibility Criteria for B.E./ B.Tech:

Various eligibility criteria for admission to B.Tech/ B.E. course shall be as under:

The minimum academic qualification for admission to B.Tech/ B.E. program in Rajasthan is a pass with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to “SC/ ST/ Non-creamy layer OBC/ Non-creamy layer SBC” of Rajasthan State) in the subjects combination as given below taken together, in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) of Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or any other examination recognized equivalent thereto by Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan/ Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

Subject combination required in the qualifying examination for admission to B.Tech/ B.E. courses shall be as under:

Physics & Mathematics will be Compulsory Subjects and anyone as the optional subject from (1) Chemistry, (2) Biotechnology, (3) Computer Science, (4) Biology

Note: Only those candidates shall be eligible who have passed in each subject of above combination and fulfills the minimum academic qualification as mentioned above.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Arch:

The Council of Architecture has laid down the following academic qualifications for candidates who want to join in B.Arch courses through REAP 2018: 

  • Candidates who have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board with Mathematics as a subject of study by securing 50% marks in aggregate are eligible for appearing in REAP 2018. 
  • Candidates who have completed 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central/State Govt. with 50% aggregate marks are also eligible for REAP 2018.
  • Completion of an International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination would make candidates eligible for REAP 2018.
  • All admissions to B.Arch. degree courses through REAP 2018 shall be subject to the passing of National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture (COA).
  • Securing marks of 80 out of 200 is mandatory for all the candidates.
  • Candidates belonging to any login would not have any kind of relaxation in the minimum score of NATA 2018 while applying for REAP 2018. 
  • Candidates who have appeared in JEE Main 2018 are also permitted to take part in the REAP counseling.
  • But they would have to clear NATA 2018 by November 2018. 
  • Such Candidates should obtain their NATA 2018 score card and all the required documents before reporting in the Institute in which the seat has been allotted to them through REAP 2018.

Age Limit of REAP 2018:

  • Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st October 1992 are eligible to appear in REAP 2018.
  • However, in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Person with Disability (PWD) candidates, upper age limit will be relaxed by 5 years i.e., SC, ST and PWD candidates who were born on or after 1st October 1987 are eligible.
  • Date of birth as mentioned in the secondary education mark-sheet/ certificate will be considered as authentic.

Medical Fitness Required for REAP 2018:

A candidate desirous of admission to Engineering Colleges will have to deposit the Medical Fitness Certificate at the time of reporting in the allotted institution on the prescribed form certified by a Medical Officer of the Government of Rajasthan or a Registered Medical Practitioner as per medical standards laid down below:

  • Height: Not less than 1.5 m for male candidates and not less than 1.4 m for female candidates.
  • Weight: Not less than 41 kg for male candidates and 37 kg for female candidates (Approximately).
  • Chest Measurement: Not less than 69 cm with satisfactory limits of expansion and contraction (for male candidates only).
  • Heart & Lungs: No abnormality.
  • A hernia, Hydrocele, Piles etc.: Presence of any of these will be a temporary disqualification to be rectified before joining the courses of study.
  • Vision: Normal. Where defective, it must be corrected to 6/9 in the better eye and 6/12 in the worse eye. Eyes should be free from congenital and other diseases. In case of admission to Mining Engineering courses, the candidates must be free from color blindness (inability to distinguish between principal colors) also.
  • Hearing: Normal. Where defective, it must be corrected.
  • Speech: Normal.

Note: The doctor will also have to certify that the candidate is medically fit for the engineering profession.
