About RRB

Railway Recruitment Board is commonly known as RRB. Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts recruitment exams time to time to recruit aspirants for group A, B and C post. Railway Recruitment Board is a government organization that was recognized in 1998 by the Ministry of Railways, New Delhi.

Railway Recruitment Board is present in various parts of the country in cities including Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Kolkata etc.The board is responsible for issuing various Railway notification regarding Railway recruitments in various departments and various profile.

RRB NTPC 2018:

RRB NTPC 2018 Eligibility

Nationality:

A candidate must be

  • a citizen of India,
  • a subject of Nepal,
  • a subject of Bhutan,
  • a Tibetan refugee who came to India on 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India

 Educational Qualification:

  • Candidate have to complete graduation from recognized Institute or University
  • Candidate must have results of his/her final exam
  • Candidate must have original documents for the verification
  • Candidates, age must be in the range of 18 to 32 years, age relation is given to the candidate belonging to SC, ST, OBC, PWD, and Women.
  • All candidates should have Medical Clearance Certificate and it is mandatory

Typing Proficiency:

  • For English, typing speed should be 30 words per minute and
  • For Hindi Language, typing speed should be 25 words per minute

RRB NTPC 2018 Application Process

  • Candidate should visit the official website of RRB
  • Click on the new registration tab to fill the application form, Candidates name and Parents name should be mentioned as per the Matriculation or Secondary Certification
  • Select the examination center, five cities have per your preference
  • Make the application fee payment to successfully complete the application process
  • Candidate has to upload his/her scanned copies of signature and photograph as per the specification
  • Candidate also has to upload SC/ST Certificate to claim for age relaxation

RRB NTPC 2018 Application Form Details

  • Candidate has to visit the official website of RRB (zone wise)
  • Before starting the application process candidate has to check the eligibility criteria
  • Candidate has to keep ready all the necessary documents before heading towards application form
  • All fields which are marked with (*) symbol are mandatory
  • Candidate has to keep scanned copies of photograph and signature before filling the application form
  • Candidates are advised to read declarations before clicking on 'I Agree' button
  • After Registration candidate will be provided with registration number and password, he/she should note and save that for future use
  • To be eligible for Age relaxation candidate need to submit the SC/ST certificate during the application process
  • After the payment is complete a candidate can login using Registration Number and Password may proceed with the modification as per instructions and submit the application
  • Take a printout of the revised application

RRB NTPC 2018 Admit Card

  • Candidates need to visit the official website of RRB (zone wise) to download the admit card
  • On the home page candidate will find link of admit card, click on the link
  • Enter the Registration number, Date of Birth and Password along with Captcha then click on submit button
  • Candidate will be taken to the PDF file of admit card, click on it to open
  • Download the PDF file of RRB NTPC Admit card and take print to carry the examination center

Arithmetic Aptitude:

  • Questions from Bar Graphs, Pie Charts, Line Graphs, tables will be asked under the head of ‘Data Interpretation’.
  • Questions on Boats & Streams, Trains’ speed, Time & Distance, Pipe & Cistern, Time & Work
  • Percentage, Profit & Loss, Interest (Simple and Compound), Discounts & Margins
  • Arithmetical Simplification / Numerical Operations on addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Average, Ratio and Proportion, Problems on Age will be in the arithmetical section of RRB NTPC Question Paper.
  • Linear equation, Quadratic Equations, Algebraic LCM and HCF
  • Geometric Computation of Area, Volume, Perimeters etc. of geometric shapes such as a circle, triangle, rectangle, pentagon, cube, cuboids, sphere etc.

General Intelligence and Reasoning:

  • Questions on Analogy, Classification of Odd pair and Syllogism will be asked in this section.
  • Pattern Detection, Embedded Images Mirror Images, Hidden Images, Figure Matrix under the head of ‘Visual Reasoning’.
  • Statement-Conclusion, Statement Argument, Statement Interference

Railway Recruitment Board also sends call letters to the eligible candidates under UPC for the examination. The Call letters are sent to the candidates before 1 month of the scheduled date. However, RRB Mumbai is not responsible for any postal delay, wrong delivery or less in transit for RRB NTPC 2017

  1. For SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen and Physically Handicapped candidates, there is no application fee. For all others it is Rs.40/- (Rs. Forty) for the post having pay scale up to 3050 - 4590 and Rs 60/- (Rs. Sixty) for all the post having pay scale higher than 3050 - 4590. The application fee can be submitted in the form of IPO or Demand Draft. IPO/DD should not be of a date prior to the date of notification. The Demand Draft should be from a Scheduled Bank with a validity of not less than 6 months. Cash/ Money Order or any other form of fee is not acceptable. IPO / DD should be Drawn in favour of ASSISTANT SECRETARY, RAILWAY RECRUITMENT BOARD PAYABLE AT MUMBAI for RRB NTPC.
