About: Sam Higginbottom Institute Of Agriculture, Technology, And Sciences had been set up as an educational institution of Christian Minority of the Indian Constitution.
Programmes: The institution conducts an annual entrance examination—popularly abbreviated as SHIATS-EE, for admission to its courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Foreign candidates and NRI students are exempt from taking the entrance examination.There are several postgraduate diploma courses too for which candidates can take SHIATS 2018 exam.
Admission: SHIATS provides a common Application form for Admissions to all academic courses irrespective of Undergraduate, Postgraduate, B.Ed. B.P.Ed, M. Ed and Diploma for admission through Entrance Test or Direct Interview.
Eligibility Criteria: The students who wish to write the entrance exam for SHIATS 2018, they should be aware of the eligibility criteria and must satisfy the eligibility criteria for SHIATS 2018 examination.
Language: SHIATS 2018 entrance exam will be conducted in English and Hindi for undergraduate courses.The examination will be conducted in English alone for entrance to post-graduate courses.
Examination: The SHIATS 2018 entrance test will be held on 31st May 2018.
Counselling: The SHIATS authority will conduct the counselling process of SHIATS 2018 after the release of the results at 20th June 2018. The counselling will be held via online mode. For further counselling dates, the applicant must register himself or herself at the official website of SHIAT.

Application Form: SHIATS 2018 application form will be available from 2nd December 2017 to 3rd January 2018.
Examination: SHIATS 2018 Exam will be conducted on 31st May 2018.
Result: SHIATS 2018 results will be announced on 20th June 2018.
Students must have to satisfy the norms and conditions to be eligible for SHIATS 2018. The eligibility criteria for UG and PG courses are different.
Qualification: For UG course, Candidate must be passed 10+2 with minimum 50% Marks (45% for reserved categories). For PG course, Candidate should have Bachelors degree with minimum 50% Marks (45% for reserved categories).
Age Limit: There is no age limit restriction to be eligible for SHIAT 2018 Examination.
Application Form Dates: The application form for SHIATS 2018 will be available from 2nd December 2017 in both online and offline mode.
Payment: The candidates have to pay the application form fees, the application fee is INR 1,200/- for UG and PG programmes and INR 1,400/- for B.Ed. and M.Ed. programmes.

SHIAT submission of application form: The SHIATS-EE form has to be submitted by 3rd January 2018.
SHIAT Payment: The deadline for payment receipt is May 2018.
SHIAT admit card: The SHIATS admit card will be released on 8th May 2018.
SHIAT result: The SHIATS result will be declared on 20th June 2018.
SHIAT counseling date: The SHIATS counseling process will be conducted on 3rd July 2018.
Reservation of seats: 50% of the total seats are reserved for Christian candidates. The rest of the seats are for the General and reserved category candidates. In addition to this 15% of the UG seats and 25% of the PG, seats are reserved for the candidates sitting for the ICAR conducted all-India entrance examination.
Eligibility criteria regarding education: The candidates should have passed their 10+2 examination from a recognized board with minimum 50% marks. 45% of the SC/ST/OBC and physically handicapped candidates. Candidates appearing for the 10+2 examination are also eligible.
Eligibility criteria regarding qualification required for the postgraduate course: The candidates should have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university. They should have minimum 50% marks in the particular stream. (45% for scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, other backward classes and physically handicapped candidates). Candidates who are in their final year of graduation are also eligible.
Eligibility criteria regarding the B.Ed course: The candidates should have minimum 50% marks in either the Bachelor's or master's degree with two school subjects as part of their graduate study. The candidate has to teach 20 lessons/2 years from any of the two Date from the list given Hindi, History, Commerce, English, Geography, Home Science, Science, Civics, Agriculture, Economics, Biology or Mathematics.
Eligibility criteria regarding the M.Ed course: The candidate must have a B.Ed degree with minimum 55% marks aggregate.
Eligibility criteria regarding the B.PEd course: The candidate must be a graduate in any stream with physical education as an elective. The candidate should have had minimum 45% marks and should have participated in the all-India inter-university competition.
Procedure: The candidate can fill the form online or offline. The candidate must fill in all the personal and academic details and then check the form once before submitting the form. The form is available offline from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.
Application fees: For the UG courses, the challan generated will be for INR. 1200. For the PG courses, the challan generated will be for INR. 1400.
The challan should be deposited after taking a print out at any Punjab National Bank or Axis Bank branches across the country. Candidates can pay the application fees online via SBI Collect, online banking or debit/credit card.
The candidate's photograph with a challan copy should be sent to the registrar's office. The application fees have to be paid via a crossed bank draft to the following address: -

Mandatory document: The SHIATS EE admit card is a mandatory document and should be brought to the exam.
Procedure: The candidates have to download the admit card from the official website. They have to enter their form number and then click on the "get admit card" option. The candidates have to download and print the admit card. The admit card must be preserved until the end of the admission process
Plagiarizing: The admit card must not be mutilated. Plagiarizing of the admit card is a punishable offense.
Non-availability of admit card: The candidates should check the details and in case of any inconsistency or non-availability of the admit card the candidate should contact the conducting body immediately.
The number of questions to be attempted: The candidates should attempt a total of 150 questions from UG-1 or UG-2.
Undergraduate Booklet UG-1: UG-1 consists of the PCM/PCB/PCMB/HBC subject groups.
A total number of questions: There are a total of 150 questions.
Optional sections: The optional sections are Physics, Mathematics, Biology, Home Science, and Chemistry. Each section has 30 questions. The candidates must attempt any three subjects as per their qualifying examination and subject group.
Compulsory section: The General Aptitude section is a compulsory section and has 60 questions.
Test booklets for Postgraduate Programmes: The candidates have to attempt a total of 160 questions.
PG Booklet: The PG Booklet consists of the AGRI/HSC/BIO/ABF/SCI/OTH/ETE subject groups.
Medium: The exam will be conducted in English and Hindi for the Undergraduate programmes. The exam will be conducted in English only for the Postgraduate programmes.
Negative marking: 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Official site: The candidates can visit the official website and check their result. There will be separate lists for Christians and Non-Christians. The candidate has to select the correct program and enter the form number to access the result. The candidates should print and save the result.

Merit list: There will be separate merit lists under each category. The lists will be updated based on the results.
Provisional admission: Candidates will be given provisional admission into only one program, based on the results.

The candidate has to download the call letter. All the original documents and identity documents should be carried to the counseling process.
In case the documents are not ready then the candidate will be rejected.
The final result will be decided as per the test results.
