About: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts SSC CGL Exam every year for selecting candidates for filling up of different categories of posts in various Ministries, Departments, and Organisations. Every year thousands of vacancies are filled by SSC in Government departments. Usually, around 1.5 billion approximately. Candidates apply to SSC-CGL exam every year. Most of the candidates apply to the SSC-CGL Examination because of attractive salary or pay scale. Government jobs are the most sought after career choice in India. SSC is the leading Government organization that provides employment to lakhs of students in India.
Stages: SSC CGL Exam is in 4 stages based on the post you have applied. Stages are divided as Tier-I, Tier-II, Tier-III, Tier-IV.
Eligibility: Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria alone can apply for SSC CGL 2018. SSC CGL 2018 age limit is that candidates should be between 18 to 32 years of age. Age relaxation is provided to candidates from certain categories.
Frequency: SSC CGL is an annual exam.
Syllabus: Candidates should go through the given SSC CGL 2018 Syllabus and should read all the topics. Syllabus for SSC CGL 2018 includes questions from topics like Verbal, Non-verbal, analogies, coding, and decoding, etc.
Exam Mode: Tier-I, Tier-II, and Tier-IV are in online mode and Tier-III is in pen and paper mode.
Exam Pattern: Tier I and Tier II are divided into 4 papers. Tier III is of descriptive type whereas Tier IV is a Computer Proficiency Test. Marks awarded for each question varies for different tiers.

Payment: SSC CGL 2018 Exam fee can be paid through online and offline modes. Candidates can choose whichever mode is easier for them.
Qualification: To be eligible for SSC CGL 2018 Exam you need to complete your graduation degree from any recognized University/Institute.
SSC CGL Age limit: Different age criteria apply for different categories of work.
Reservation: Age relaxation is provided to candidates from certain categories.
Exemption: People migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka or Tibetan Refugee before 1st August 1962 then they are eligible to appear for this Exam.
Tiers: SSC CGL 2018 Exam is conducted in 4 tiers, namely, Tier I, Tier II, Tier III, and Tier IV.

As there are 4 tiers in the exam, the pattern is different for different tiers.
Tier I, Tier II and Tier IV are online tests, whereas Tier III is an offline test.
