About: VITEEE (Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam) is conducted by one of the popular engineering institutes ie., Vellore Institute of Technology. VIT University, formerly Vellore Engineering College is a private deemed university institute located in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India. VIT offers 34 postgraduate, 20 undergraduate, four research and four integrated programs.
Frequency: VITEEE 2018 is conducted once every year in the month of April and May.
Foreign Candidates: NRI Candidates can submit applications through VITEEE 2018 form, instead of using the separate NRI form.

Admit Card: Applicants can download VITEEE 2018 Admit card from the official website by entering their Application number and Password. Candidates have to complete the slot booking process before downloading Admit card.
Slot Booking: VITEEE 2018 Slot booking has begun from 21st March 2018. Candidates can enter their VITEEE 2018 login credentials and book their slot.
The answer key and cutoff of VITEEE 2018 gives candidates an estimate of their results and also helps them to calculate their probability of getting admission.
Only on the basis of VITEEE 2018 result, the eligible candidates will get a chance for admission to the VITEEE participating institutes, which are based in Vellore, Chennai, Amravati and Bhopal.
OTBS: Candidates, whose applications are accepted by the institution can book their slots online for VITEEE 2018 exam through Online Test Booking System (OTBS).
Slot dates: The Slot booking for VITEEE 2018 starts from 1st November 2017. To get access to the slot booking system, VITEEE candidates need to enter their application number and password given by VIT University.
Slot selection: Candidates can select the VITEEE 2018 Exam Centre, Date and Timings according to their preference. It is recommended to choose your slots carefully as the slots, once submitted cannot be changed again.
Admit Card: Candidates can book slots and download admit card on 21st March 2018 from the official website.
Exam date: VITEEE 2018 will be conducted on 4th April 2018.

Minimum marks for General: Candidates should have an aggregate score of 60% in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics/Biology in their 12th.
Minimum marks for SC/ST: Candidates from SC/ST caste or North East India should have an aggregate score of 50%.
Age Limit: Candidates born on or after 1st July 1996 are eligible for VITEEE 2018. Candidates must have completed 17 years of age as on 1st July of the Admission year.

Difficulty Level: The questions asked in VITEEE 2018 are from X and XII syllabus.
Subjects: The subjects for VITEEE 2018 are Physics, Chemistry, Maths/Biology, and English.

Mode: The VITEEE 2018 exam is purely computer-based and consists of multiple choice questions.
Sections: The paper consists of 40 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics. The English section alone has only 5 questions.

Application Availability: Application forms will be issued from 1st November 2017. Eligible candidates should submit an online or offline application form, which is available on the official VIT University website. The deadline for submitting the application form is 18th March 2018.

Exam Cities: Over 119 Cities across India will be acting as an Exam Centre host for VITEEE 2018.
Overseas: VITEEE 2018 will be held in 4 overseas countries namely Muscat, Qatar, Dubai and Kuwait.
Availability: VITEEE 2018 admit card for the year will be available to download immediately after the slot booking confirmation from 21st March 2018.
ID Proof: Candidates should carry a photo ID proof along with the VITEEE 2018 Admit card at the examination centre.
Result Date: Candidates can check the VITEEE result by entering their application number and password on the official website. VITEEE 2018 results will be declared on 27th April 2018.
Notification: Candidates will get notified through SMS about their VITEEE 2018 Result.

Scores: The cut-off score is decided on the basis of the marks scored by candidates in VITEEE 2018.

The highest number of students: In the graph above, Uttar Pradesh has got the highest number of students registering for VITEEE examination in 2017, followed by Andhra Pradesh with 27,427 candidates.
State wise Registrations: Bihar came next with 18,463 registrations, while Maharashtra accounted for 15,584 registrations. But Tamil Nadu, where the main campus of VIT is located, got only 13,867 students.
City wise Registrations: If we see it as a city wise, most numbers of registrations have come from Hyderabad and New Delhi. Chennai had 6,530 registrations, whereas, Vellore got only 2,361 registrations. There were over 500 NRI candidates registered for VITEEE exam. VITEEE 2017 was held in 145 centres in 118 Indian cities.

Reporting Time: Candidates should be present in the assigned exam centre at least 30 minutes prior to exam time, with the e-admit card.
Admit Card: The E-Admit card is an important document and it must be preserved and produced at the time of exam hall/ counselling/admission.
Duration: The duration of examination will be 2 hours 30 minutes.
ID Proof: Candidate should report to the selected test centre with an e-admit card and valid ID proof for the verification.
Registration: Candidates have to register their name in the registration counter and must carry the e-admit card and a valid ID proof for the verification.
Seating: The candidate has to sit only in the allotted seats in the examination hall.
Signature: Candidate must sign the attendance sheet and e-admit card in the presence of the invigilator.
Latecomers are not allowed: Candidate will not be permitted to enter the exam hall after the commencement of the examination and will not be allowed to leave the exam hall before the end of the examination.
Prohibited Items: Electronic Devices like calculators, tables side ruler, pager and cellular phones are strictly not allowed in the exam hall.
Tampering is not allowed: The candidates should not tamper with the computer and the related hardware provided in the examination hall. Candidates found to have tampered with these willfully will have their candidature cancelled immediately. In addition, appropriate legal action will be initiated against such candidates
Slot Booking: VITEEE 2018 Slot booking has been started from 21st March 2018.
Admit Card: The VITEEE admit card must be downloaded and printed on 21st March 2018.
VITEEE 2018 Exam Date: VITEEE 2018 will be held in the month of April 2018 in 3 sessions. The first session will be between 9 am and 11.30 am. The second session will be held between 12.30 pm and 3 pm. The last session will be held between 4 pm and 6.30 pm.
VITEEE 2018 Result and Counselling Date: The results will be out on 27th April 2018. The VITEEE Counselling will take place on 7th May 2018.
Age criteria: The applicant should be born on or after 1st July 1996.
Minimum Qualification: The applicant should have passed 12th with Mathematics as a compulsory subject and Biology as an optional subject. Candidates should have studied regular education and not part-time education as applications would be rejected.
Minimum Marks: The applicant should have secured a minimum of 60% from a recognized board.
Reserved Categories: In a case of applicants belonging to SC/ST category or North Eastern states, they should have scored a minimum of 50%.
Mode: The VITEEE 2018 application process can be done in online or offline mode. Candidates can fill up the VITEEE 2018 application form on the official website.
Enter all the required details in empty fields of VITEEE 2018 application and click on "Register" button.
Add the email id and password which is received via email and click on "Submit" button.
Fill all the details carefully according to 12th marks sheet and click on submit.
Payment of VITEEE 2018 application fee can be done via online or offline mode.
Requirements: It is necessary to upload a thumb impression, signature and photograph.
Registration: Applicants must visit the official website of VITEEE 2018 and fill in the required details. They must choose the exam centre and paper medium.
Cross check: After the required details are filled in, candidates must check the information before final submission of VITEEE 2018 Application form.
Fees: Online application fee is Rs. 1150/-. It can be paid by Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking /Demand Draft. The institutions who wish to purchase VITEEE 2018 Application offline forms must contact the Director of UG admissions at VIT University, Vellore. The offline application fee is Rs. 1200/-.
Note: Candidates can book their slots online on ‘first-come-first-served-basis'. Slots are subject to availability of the exam centre, date and time.
Process: Candidates must go on the official website and click on the link for VITEEE 2018 admit card. The application number must be entered and the admit card will appear on the screen. It must be downloaded and printed.
Discrepancies: The candidate must ensure that all details on the VITEEE 2018 admit card are correct. In a case of any discrepancies, it should be brought to the notice of the exam conducting authority.
Book a Slot: Candidates who booked a slot through Online Test Booking System will get the VITEEE 2018 admit card.
Take a printout: The VITEEE 2018 admit card must be preserved till the admission process is complete.
Number of Questions: There are 125 objective type questions.
Subjects: There will be 40 questions each in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics. There will be 5 questions in English as well.
Marking Scheme: Each correct answer will fetch 1 mark. There is no negative marking.
Time Duration: The VITEEE exam will have a time duration of 150 minutes.
Difficulty level: The syllabus for VITEEE is based on the 10th and 12th university syllabus
Physics Syllabus: Laws of motion and work, energy and power, Properties of Matter, Electrostatics, Current Electricity etc.
Chemistry syllabus: Atomic structure, Electrochemistry, Alcohols and Ether, Carbonyl compounds etc.
Biology syllabus: Reproduction, Cell and Molecular Biology, Genetics and evolution, Biochemistry etc.
English syllabus: Comprehension questions, English Grammar and Pronunciation etc.
Steps to check results:
Candidates must go to the official website and click on the result link.
The application number and password must be entered and the results will appear on the screen.
Content: The result will only state the rank secured by the candidate.
Merit list: A merit list will be published along with the results.
Counselling Date: The counselling process will begin in 7th May 2018.

Candidates need to carry VITEEE 2018 admit Card, Transfer Certificate/Migration Certificate/School Leaving Certificate.
A Demand Draft (DD) of 50000 INR (including 10000 INR that is nonrefundable) in favour of “VIT University”, payable at Vellore, Balance fee as per the fee structure is to be paid on the day of reporting.

The eligibility criteria of BE CSE is the completion of 12th standard with good marks and clear the 1st and 2nd round of VITEEE entrance examination. I don't have any idea about the cutoff.
